After leaving the Pokémon Center, Alex and his group first found Officer Jenny.
They explained what had just happened.
"I don't know what's going on either. I tried to contact them, but the power plant has not responded," Jenny replied helplessly.
"No response?"
"Where is that power plant?"
"I'll show you. It's the factory by the sea with the big chimney."
"Okay, let's go."
At this moment, Pikachu suddenly emerged from the bushes.
"Pikachu, didn't I tell you to rest well at the Pokémon Center?" Ash's tone was reproachful, but his eyes were full of concern.

"Ash, Pikachu might think we abandoned him at the hospital," Alex said with a frown.

"I know, you can follow along, but don't overdo it while you're sick," Ash said, holding Pikachu.
Behind them, the Magnemite that had appeared earlier once again emerged from the bushes behind Alex and his group.
Meanwhile, near a manhole cover, James and Jessie were panting heavily.
"That was terrifying! I almost thought I was going to die."
"There's nothing we can do; who knew this place would suddenly have a power outage?" Meowth said, hands on hips, eyes closed, with a boss-like demeanor.
"A sudden power outage? What's wrong with this city?" James complained, speechless.
At this moment, Alex and his group suddenly ran past Meowth and his companions.
"That's the brat. Bad luck for good luck, wearing a nurse's uniform."
"Now that there's a power outage, it's a great opportunity to snag those brat's Pokémon!"
Meowth's face flushed with joy.
"Come on, Jessie and James, time to work, Meow."
"Would it kill you to let me catch my breath? We almost drowned in that stinky ditch!" Jessie yelled angrily at Meowth.
"Don't worry, this time I have a secret weapon; rest assured, Meow."
Meowth said with a sly smile.
Alex and his group had already run to the front of the power plant.
"This is it; let's go in," Alex said, dusting himself off.
"Mm."
"Is anyone there? Is anyone inside?" Ash pushed open the door and shouted at the top of his lungs.
"If no one's here, we're going in."
With that, Alex and his group walked in.
"I guess this place should have employees managing it somewhere, right?" Alex said, looking at a camera on the wall.
"That place looks a bit like the central control room," Misty said, pointing to a spot at the end of the corridor.
"Let's go."
At that moment, a Grimer swiftly passed through the ventilation duct above them.
Suddenly, the Magnemite floated past behind Misty.
"It seems like something is following us," Misty said, looking scared.
"There's no one. You're probably just imagining things," Ash said, glancing around.
"No, I really feel like something is following us."
Misty wrung her hands anxiously.
"You're just overly scared; that's why you're feeling things that aren't there!" Ash replied dismissively.
"Seriously, you lose your nerve at crucial moments."
"What did you say? I'm not scared at all! Something really is following us!" Misty shot back, annoyed by Ash's taunts.
"Alright, alright, you two stop arguing."
At this moment, Magnemite quietly appeared behind Ash.
However, due to the darkness, they couldn't see what it was.
Alex looked at the frightened Misty and Brock, speechless.
In this situation, it must be some kind of Pokémon playing tricks. Was there really a need to be so scared?
But then again, in his own world, this kind of situation would be no different from a haunting. Thinking of this, Alex felt somewhat relieved.
"Who's there? If you have the guts, come out in the open!" Ash shouted down the corridor.
"If you're there, you don't have to come out. Especially if you're a ghost; it's best if you never come out."

At this moment, behind Pikachu, Magnemite's single eye suddenly emitted a blue light.
In the darkness, it did look a bit scary.
"W-what exactly is this?" Ash asked, his voice trembling.
Only Alex remained calm, merely curious about what kind of Pokémon this would be.
At that moment, Alex took out his Pokédex.
"Magnemite, the Magnet Pokémon. It floats in the air, but its composition is unknown. It's an Electric-type Pokémon with many unknown aspects."
"See, I told you there was no danger, didn't I?" Alex said, putting away his Pokédex.
"Then, what is this Pokémon doing here?" Ash asked, looking puzzled.
"Maybe he caused the power outage at the power plant just now," Misty suggested, pointing at Magnemite.
"Just such a small one? No way," Brock said skeptically.
"But he's a mysterious Electric-type Pokémon!" Misty looked worried.
"Okay, let's catch him first and check the data," Ash said, preparing to take out a Poké Ball.
"Wait a moment, Ash. Magnemite doesn't seem like he wants to battle," Alex said, stopping the eager Ash.
Magnemite was seen circling Pikachu, his eyes half-closed.
"What's wrong with him? He seems very interested in Pikachu."
"It can't be a prank, can it?"
"Magnemite's face is red; he looks like he's in love."
Misty remarked, watching the blushing Magnemite.
"That's unlikely. If it were an animal Pokémon, it would be understandable, but this inorganic Pokémon wouldn't fall in love with an Electric mouse, would it?" Alex said, exasperated.
"I think this Magnemite really likes Pikachu," Misty insisted, observing Magnemite chasing Pikachu around.
"But Pikachu seems a bit troubled," Alex noted, his tone carrying a hint of worry.
