# Chapter 134: One Versus Two, The Tyrant's Confidence
After clearing his backrow, Ryo Marufuji officially entered his turn.
"My turn! I draw!"
The ferocious mechanical dragon spat bolts of lightning, while below it, Ryo Marufuji stood proudly like a god of war. The ten warriors standing opposite him couldn't help but gulp.
"It's fine. There are ten of us. As long as one of us survives this turn, we can wipe out the Commander's mere 400 Life Points on the next turn," the warrior who had stepped forward first encouraged his comrades.
The remaining warriors exchanged glances, then nodded vigorously.
"Still thinking about the next turn? Do you really think you have that chance?" Ryo Marufuji laughed heartily.
"I activate the effect of Chimeratech Rampage Dragon! Once per turn, I can send up to two LIGHT Machine monsters from my Deck to the Graveyard. This turn, this card can make additional attacks during the Battle Phase equal to the number of monsters sent to the Graveyard by this effect."
"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Evolution Victory Burst Light!"
"I add one 'Overload Fusion' from my Deck to my hand. This turn, if a monster is Fusion Summoned using 'Overload Fusion' with six or more materials, that monster can attack a number of times equal to the number of its Fusion Materials."
Ryo Marufuji took the card that ejected from his Deck and slapped it onto his Duel Disk. "Don't blink. This is the last monster you will ever see. I activate the Spell Card, Overload Fusion!"
"I banish the Fusion Materials for a DARK Machine Fusion Monster from my field and Graveyard, then Fusion Summon that Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck."
"I banish ten monsters from my Graveyard to Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 9! Chimeratech Overdragon!"
Ryo Marufuji laughed maniacally as he flung the ten cards that ejected from his Graveyard skyward. Wild electrical currents surged across the field, and a terrifying, ten-headed mechanical dragon slowly descended, accompanied by black lightning!
"When Chimeratech Overdragon is successfully Fusion Summoned, all other cards I control are sent to the Graveyard, and this card's ATK becomes the number of its Fusion Materials x 800!"
Chimeratech Overdragon ATK: ? → 8000
Chimeratech Overdragon's ten mechanical heads writhed in a frenzy, exerting overwhelming pressure on the ten opposing warriors.
"8000 Attack Points? And it can attack ten times?" a warrior gulped, his voice filled with fear.
However, among the ten warriors, two of them were not overly flustered. Instead, after glancing at their hands, they seemed to calm down.
Seeing this, Ryo Marufuji said with a smirk, "Do you have a hand trap to block the damage? In that case, allow me to obliterate your last shred of hope! I activate the Equip Spell, Eternal Evolution Radiance!"
"Only a Machine Fusion Monster can be equipped with this card. As long as this card is in the Spell & Trap Zone, my opponent cannot activate Spell, Trap, or monster effects during my Battle Phase."
"Nani?!" Those two warriors turned pale with shock.
"Battle!" Ryo Marufuji waved his hand, and the massive, chimeric mechanical dragon before him began to accumulate ferocious energy in each of its heads.
"Chimeratech Overdragon, attack!"
"Second attack!"
"Third attack!"
…
Chimeratech Overdragon continuously spewed furious laser beams from its mouths, wiping out the Life Points of the ten Obelisk Force warriors one by one.
After finishing, Ryo Marufuji, as if he had done something insignificant, coldly put away his Deck and ordered, "Abandon all external bases for the time being. After the results of the Grand Competition are out, everyone who remains will undergo a month of training!"
"Is this really alright? What about the Resistance Army?" the Deputy Commander asked from the side.
"Leave those guys to me. I will buy you at least a month, but if you still haven't met my requirements by then, you'll have to figure it out yourselves," Ryo Marufuji said coldly, then turned and left with his personal guard.
At the same time, inside the church in the Orion District.
"What in the world happened outside? Why did the Obelisk Force suddenly retreat en masse?" Yuto asked with a frown, having just returned from investigating the situation.
"I don't know," Garros said, shaking his head. "But according to a mother and son who joined us yesterday, it seems a new Commander has arrived on their side. This is likely related to him."
"A new Commander?" Sugihara Yo frowned. "Isn't Aster Phoenix still alive?"
"However, according to that mother and son, the new Commander saved them from the enemy. It seems he was furious that his subordinates were harming civilians," Garros said.
Just then, Allen rushed in anxiously. "This is bad! Someone is issuing a challenge outside."
"What?!" Yuto exclaimed in surprise. "How many of them are there?"
"Thirty-one," Allen said. "But they're all very strong. Our comrades stationed there couldn't hold them back and have retreated to the streets. Also, their leader is wearing a commander's cape."
"It seems this new Commander is very confident," Sugihara Yo sneered, glancing at Yuto. "Let's go. We'll meet this guy together."
…
On the main road on the outskirts of the Orion District, Ryo Marufuji and his personal guard did not advance after driving away the stationed Resistance Army. Instead, they remained where they were, waiting until Yuto and Sugihara Yo arrived with their people.
"Is it just the two of you? Where's the one who defeated Aster Phoenix?" Ryo Marufuji said coldly.
"We don't need Yūga Hōzumi to deal with you," Sugihara Yo retorted.
"Is that guy not in Heartland City? Otherwise, since you know my identity, there's no way he wouldn't show up, leader to leader." Ryo Marufuji thought for a moment before arriving at this conclusion.
"Perhaps," Sugihara Yo said vaguely. He couldn't just admit to the other side that Yūga Hōzumi wasn't in Heartland City. "Besides, are you looking down on us?"
"It's not that. I respect every one of my opponents," Ryo Marufuji said. "It's just, for my first battle in Heartland City, it would be a bit of a shame if my opponent isn't your leader."
"Then you can take your regret to hell with you," Sugihara Yo finished, activating his Duel Disk.
"The two of you should take me on together," Ryo Marufuji said with a confident smile. "That way, the glory of my first victory in Heartland City will have sufficient weight."
"What did you say?!" Feeling slighted, Sugihara Yo shouted angrily, but Yuto pulled him back.
"Calm down, Yao," Yuto whispered in his ear after pulling him back.
"If he wants to take on both of us, let's accommodate him. Yūga Hōzumi and the others aren't here. Our priority is to pin him down. At the very least, we need to stop him from harassing us and buy time until Yūga Hōzumi gets back," Yuto said.
