Chapter 850 - Chapter 429: Master of the Ninja World (Part 3)

"I remember you're called Hattori, right? Even Sosuke-sensei interacted with you. Why are you silent?" A nearby Rain Ninja was surprised to see Hanzo only slightly bow and not even call him sensei.

Hanzo: ...

He wondered what expression this Rain Ninja would show if he dropped his disguise.

However, Hanzo had no interest in struggling with his subordinates; it wasn't worth exposing himself.

"Recently, Ninja Sect will establish an official headquarters in the Eastern part of the Land of Rain. A Martial Arts Tournament for young ninjas will be held then. Ninjas aged 18 and below can sign up to participate. Those who rank at the top will receive rewards, with the first prize being the Fire Dragon Dance, and other rewards will be announced at the time of the event," Mokgetsu announced.

The ninjas below looked at each other, all with incredulous expressions.

Among them, thousands had seen Mokgetsu perform the Fire Dragon Dance and knew how powerful this Fire Release Ninjutsu was.

"Defeat Lord Hanzo's Fire Release Ninjutsu, and the first prize is given." A Rain Ninja gasped.

"Damn it, I just turned nineteen this year." One ninja, initially delighted, discovered he was over the age limit and felt a sense of frustration.

"Sosuke actually plans to use the Fire Dragon Dance as a reward; I must report to father," Kitsuchi thought, secretly amazed.

He had personally witnessed Mokgetsu using the Fire Dragon Dance to beat Hanzo and didn't expect Mokgetsu to give away such a powerful technique so easily.

"Announce it when returning to the village. Although there aren't many ninjas who practice Fire Release in the village, obtaining it would be beneficial," Pakura thought.

If it weren't for the age limit, Pakura would have wanted to compete herself.

Hanzo, in his surprise, felt a dark expression. He had a premonition that the story of him being defeated by Sosuke might spread throughout the Ninja World with the start of the Youth Martial Arts Tournament.

Hanzo now truly regretted opposing the Ninja Sect; he gained nothing from it and only weakened the Rain Village while tarnishing his reputation.

Perhaps in a few decades, he would no longer be famous as a Demigod in the Ninja World but as a backdrop for Sosuke.

"Sosuke is indeed good at making money; this time, he can make a fortune." Kakuzu couldn't help but smile as he observed the expressions of the ninjas present.

These ninjas were no longer just about extracting gold coins; it seemed like they were begging the Ninja Sect to turn their coins into profit.

At this moment, the ninjas in Kakuzu's eyes were like stacks of moving bills, making Kakuzu's occasionally fierce gaze instinctively soften.

After the advertisement, the seven-day unlimited lecture officially ended, and the ninjas who came to listen dispersed. The ninjas of the Ninja Sect also began packing their things to head to the Eastern Land of Rain.

Mokgetsu knew that extracting gold coins from the Daimyo was more difficult. On one hand, the Land of Rain wasn't very wealthy; on the other hand, the Daimyo had to give gold coins to the Rain Village.

So Mokgetsu proposed another request: to grant him a piece of land for the Ninja Sect to station on, similar to a Ninja Village, with everything under the responsibility of the Ninja Sect.

The Daimyo of the Land of Rain generously granted the Ninja Sect 350 square kilometers of land.

It seemed impressive, but it wasn't particularly large, just slightly bigger than Konoha's Forest of Death.

And the most critical issue was that most of the land was barren, with only two or three villages that couldn't even pay taxes.

Despite the many drawbacks, Mokgetsu felt they were all solvable.

Barren lands could be developed since the ninja's construction ability wasn't weak. If there was no money, they could leverage the fame of their front to find ways to generate an economy. The lack of population coincided with the Ninja World War; as long as they showcased their strength, people would willingly migrate to the Ninja Sect's base, and accepting refugees was another way.

Before migrating to the East, the Ninja Sect ninjas had already pre-constructed some habitable buildings at the base. Upon arrival, they began brainstorming names for the base.

This was a formal settlement, unlike their previous temporary bases.

"How about we call it Ninja Sect Village?" Yahiko suggested, thinking they could name it like other Ninja Villages.

"Doesn't sound too good," Konan honestly remarked.

The name Ninja Sect Village sounded odd to her; even Akatsuki Village was smoother.

"Haha, seems like it," Yahiko chuckled, realizing after repeating it several times.

"What about Peace City?" Nagato suggested after some thought.

Whether it was the former Akatsuki or the current Ninja Sect, their goal was peace, and with the Ninja Sect settling in the Eastern Land of Rain, they intended to organize the area and expand throughout the Land of Rain.

So, Nagato thought naming it Peace City was apt, embodying the dream of all the Ninjas in the Ninja Sect.

"That's great," Yahiko immediately understood Nagato's thought and praised it.

"Why not call it Ninja Master City? That way, everyone will know it's Sosuke's territory," Kakuzu suggested, thinking it would attract more ninjas, making it easier to earn money.

Many ninjas expressed their opinions; some felt the Ninja Sect was a beacon of hope in a chaotic world, suggesting names like Radiant City, while others preferred Kakuzu's straightforward Ninja Master City.

For this, Mokgetsu used an old method: a vote. Since all the Ninja Sect ninjas wanted Mokgetsu to propose a name as well, he added Six Paths City into the voting.

Ultimately, Six Paths City won by a large margin, with Nagato's Peace City and Kakuzu's Ninja Master City having similar vote counts, while other names received almost no votes.
