THE STRANGER DOES NOT INTRODUCE THEMSELVES
The stranger has a name.
They do not give it.
Names are leverage.They don't hand out leverage.
They watch Sefu train again—but this time, they interrupt before the mistake happens.
That alone is terrifying.
STRANGER:"Don't finish that motion."
Sefu freezes mid-strike.
SEFU:You watching me this whole time or—?
STRANGER:"Longer than you'd like."
They correct his stance with a stick. Not gently. Precisely.
STRANGER:"You're inventing a combat language without grammar."
SEFU:Languages evolve.
STRANGER:"So do plagues."
Before leaving, the stranger finally gives Sefu something.
Not a name.
A warning.
STRANGER:"She is not dangerous because she can end worlds."
Sefu looks up.
STRANGER:"She is dangerous because she can remake them and still feel lonely."
They leave.
Sefu laughs.
Then stops.
Because that didn't sound like a guess.
That lands.
