The souls of Light and Darkness offered, golden brilliance erupted from the ritual altar. A gate to the chaotic world rose up, heavy doors creaking open as primordial chaos surged forth.
The blade of creation slashed from within. The chaotic swordsman stood clad in armor, his long sword gleaming coldly, shield in the other hand, eyes sharp as blades.

Marik gasped in admiration, "Summoning both a 4000-ATK Silent Magician and the legendary swordsman in a single turn…"
"As expected of one who inherited the title of King," Ishizu agreed.
The Evil God's gaze flickered as he looked at Silent Magician and then Black Luster Soldier. "Two spirits… To be able to command both at once—by human standards, that's impressive."
But his tone was arrogant, implying that even such spirits were still unworthy of facing a god's avatar.
Of course, Kira's hand size dropped by one after summoning Black Luster Soldier, reducing Silent Magician's ATK by 500, but she still had 4000—on par with Obelisk the Tormentor.
"Battle!" Kira declared. "Black Luster Soldier, attack Darklord Ixchel!"
The swordsman strode forward, blade gleaming like a silver serpent striking at the Darklord.
Ixchel flapped her wings in defiance, firing a storm of black feathers, but the swordsman pressed on, his blade cutting through the barrage and slashing Ixchel in two. She cried out, her form exploding into a flurry of black feathers.

"Black Luster Soldier's effect activates!" Kira continued. "When it destroys a monster by battle, once per turn, it can attack again!
Attack Darklord Superbia!"
The swordsman, having defeated Ixchel, immediately turned to the next monster. Superbia crouched in Defense Position, red wings forming giant shields. The swordsman's blade pierced straight through, shattering Superbia.
With a single charge, two Darklords were vanquished. Black Luster Soldier returned to Kira's side, blade sheathed.
Now, the Evil God's field was wide open, while Kira's Silent Magician still had 4000 ATK—a finishing blow was imminent!
"Silent Magician, direct attack! Silent Burst!"
Marik and Ishizu both held their breath.
So strong. This generation's Duel King was every bit as intimidating as Yugi himself—delivering such a ferocious assault in just one turn. Marik couldn't help but recall that Kira once said he was inspired by Marik's own duels, yet now wielded such explosive tactics with ease.
Maybe during our earlier practice duel, he was just messing with me for fun…
Yet as impressive as this offensive was, Marik and Ishizu doubted the duel would end so simply.
As expected, the Evil God declared, "I activate my set card—Continuous Trap, 'Fiendish Chain'!"
Green demonic chains shot forth from the trap, instantly binding the charging Silent Magician. Though a spellcaster capable of ranged magic, the bindings robbed her of all strength. Limbs weakened, her magic sealed—she couldn't even spark a flame, let alone unleash her attack.
"Fiendish Chain seals a monster's attack and negates its effect," the Evil God said smugly. "Sorry, but your little magician's out of commission."
"In that case, I end my turn."
Kira announced the end, glancing at the chained Silent Magician. The Evil God had chosen to bind Silent Magician rather than Black Luster Soldier, likely considering that once Silent's effect was negated, her ATK would fall to 1000, making her an easy target. Plus, sealing her prevented her troublesome Spell-negating ability.
The Evil God: "My turn. Draw."
Calmly, he summoned a monster.
"Summon—Darklord Ukoback!"
A diminutive Darklord appeared, childlike in stature, its wings short and stubby. This was one of the rare low-level monsters among Darklords.

He searched his deck and displayed the card.
"I send the Trap Card 'Darklord Uprising' from my Deck to the grave."
Then he revealed two cards in hand.
"I activate the effect of 'Darklord Amdusc'! By discarding this card and another 'Darklord' card from my hand, I can add a 'Darklord' card from my graveyard to my hand."
He sent two cards to the grave.
"I recover the Spell Card 'Darklord Contact' from my graveyard!"
Marik's expression changed: "He can retrieve any Darklord 'card,' not just monsters?"
Retrieving monsters was common, but recovering Spells and Traps was rare in Yu-Gi-Oh!.
"Now, I activate 'Darklord Contact' again, to revive a Darklord from my grave!" the Evil God declared. "I bring back 'Darklord Superbia'!"
Crimson wings unfurled as the black cylindrical darklord burst forth from the grave, red feathers billowing.
