Chapter 416: Raichu vs. Tyranitar
"Rai…"
Raichu instinctively backpedaled, its heart racing. It wasn't just about the
disparity in power; it was a primal, biological response. When a creature
encounters something that vastly outscales it in sheer physical mass, "fear" is
the only logical reaction.

Yuna's Raichu was Level 97. In contrast, Tyranitar was only Level 78.
A nineteen-level gap separated them. In the world of high-level competitive
battling, such a margin was usually an insurmountable wall. Despite Tyranitar's
mountainous size, Kenji knew this wasn't going to be an easy win.
Raichu, however, was a veteran. After the initial shock of seeing a
twenty-meter-tall Godzilla clone, it regained its composure. Size didn't always
equate to victory—if it did, Wailord would have been the undisputed king of the
world long ago.
"Raichu! Quick Attack! Get in close!" Yuna commanded.
"RAI!"
Raichu dropped from two legs to four, transforming into a blurred streak of
white light as it lunged toward the titan.
Tyranitar was massive, but it wasn't clumsy. Still, size brought inherent
disadvantages. It was like a human trying to swat a mosquito crawling across
their skin; the mosquito is simply too small and too fast to track easily.
"Earth Power!"
CRACK-CRACK-BOOM!
Massive pillars of jagged rock erupted from the floor, thrusting upward like
spears to impale the incoming streak. Raichu didn't slow down. With a nimble
sidestep, it evaded the first spire, its tail suddenly glowing with a cold,
metallic sheen.
Iron Tail!
CRASH!
With a single, fluid whip of its tail, Raichu shattered the stone pillar into a
million fragments. Using the flying debris as stepping stones, the tiny Pokémon
leaped into the air, utilizing the momentum from Quick Attack to propel itself
toward its target.
Even at the peak of its jump, Raichu could only reach Tyranitar's midsection. It
swung its glowing tail with all its might.
"HOOOOOOOR!"
Tyranitar roared. Kenji reacted instantly. "Partial Iron Defense!"
Tyranitar's belly skin took on a dull, metallic luster just as the Iron Tail
connected.
THOOM!
The impact sounded like a wrecking ball hitting a skyscraper. Despite its
massive weight, Tyranitar was actually forced back a half-step, its heavy claws
furrowing deep trenches into the valley floor.
Raichu used the recoil to backflip through the air, putting distance between
itself and the giant. Tyranitar let out a pained huff; even with the localized
hardening, a Level 97 Iron Tail was no joke. It stung.
Enraged, Tyranitar summoned a storm of jagged boulders that levitated around its
body before screaming toward the airborne Raichu.
Stone Edge!
Raichu was still falling, unable to dodge in mid-air.
"Discharge!" Yuna yelled.
"RAIIIIIII!"
Raichu curled into a ball, and a sphere of blinding gold electricity exploded
outward. The sheer voltage vaporized the incoming stones on contact, turning the
Stone Edge into a rain of harmless pebbles and dust.
Raichu landed gracefully, untouched. Tyranitar, on the other hand, was breathing
heavily.
"Tyranitar! Use Titan's Rage!"
"HOOOOORRRR!"
Tyranitar's eyes turned a bloodthirsty red. It raised its massive foot and
slammed it down toward Raichu's position.
Stomping Tantrum!
BOOM!
Tyranitar's strides were enormous; a single step covered fifteen meters. As its
foot hit the ground, the earth buckled, forming a massive crater. A shockwave of
Ground-type energy rippled outward like a tsunami.
"RAI!"
Raichu was fast, darting away the moment the shadow fell, but the sheer wind
pressure from the footfall nearly sent it tumbling.
Suddenly, a strange, ominous red aura began to pulse from Tyranitar's scales. It
roared again, its movements becoming faster, more frantic.
Outrage!
Titan's Rage was Kenji's custom combo: the combination of Outrage and Stomping
Tantrum.
In the Pokémon world, Stomping Tantrum converts frustration into power. If the
previous move failed to hit, its power doubles. By channeling the chaotic,
berserk energy of Outrage, Tyranitar could spam Stomping Tantrum in a relentless
loop. Every time Raichu dodged, the next stomp became fifty percent more
explosive.
THOOM! THOOM! THOOM!
The giant didn't stop. It began a terrifying dance of destruction, its massive
legs rising and falling with rhythmic brutality. Though it was twenty meters
tall, its speed under the influence of Outrage was terrifying.
Raichu was in a desperate scramble. It was running for its life, its four paws
working overtime to stay ahead of the crushing weight.
CRACK! EXPLOSION!
With every missed stomp, the seismic shockwaves grew more violent. Soon, even
the "misses" were enough to launch Raichu into the air, forcing it to fight just
to keep its balance.
Equipped with three Radiant Titan's Resolves, Tyranitar had become an
unstoppable force of nature. Even a Champion-tier Raichu was finding it
impossible to find an opening against this walking disaster.
