"Happy!"
Crimson flames danced in the cave, illuminating the surrounding purple crystals like gems in a furnace.
Happy swooped down from the cave ceiling, his small blue body tracing a graceful arc in mid-air.
"Aye! Here I go!" With that shout, his figure suddenly transformed into a streak of light, plunging directly into Natsu's chest.
"Buzz—"
Natsu's body suddenly glowed with a blend of blue and white light, and a pair of pristine white wings unfurled from his back with a 'whoosh', each feather radiating a faint white glow.
His flames became even more intense, with an outer layer of white light, like a burning star.
"I'm all fired up!"
A crimson dragon head magic circle opened, and massive flame magic power erupted from Natsu as tangible flames.
Natsu flapped his wings, and his entire being instantly transformed into a fiery meteor, charging straight at the werewolf-transformed Comet.
"Bang—!"
Comet's black claws collided fiercely with Natsu's flaming fist, and a circular shockwave exploded, shattering the purple crystals on the cave walls, their fragments raining down.
"So fast!" Comet was startled. After transforming into a werewolf, his speed already far surpassed that of ordinary people, yet this cherry-haired youth could keep up with his movements, and even be faster!
Natsu grinned, his right fist gathering flames, and he slammed it hard into Comet's chest.
"Fire Dragon's—Iron Fist!"
"Boom!"
Comet was sent flying backward by the punch, his back crashing hard into the rock wall, sending debris scattering.
But as soon as his body hit the ground, the black mist at his wound rapidly squirmed, and his flesh healed at a visible rate.
"Tsk, that recovery power is annoying!" Natsu shook his fist, flames dancing at his fingertips.
Comet let out a low growl, his limbs suddenly exerting force, and his figure turned into a black shadow, instantly closing in on Natsu.
His sharp claws tore through the air, leaving five streaks of dark blade light.
"Whoosh—!"
Natsu dodged sideways, but Comet's speed after transforming was equally astonishing, and the claw wind still left a bloody mark on his shoulder.
"Aye! Natsu!" Happy's voice rang out in Natsu's mind. The white wings on his back gently fluttered, and a few feathers drifted down, transforming into soft white light that covered the wound, which quickly healed.
"You just keep going forward!"
"Thanks, Happy!" Natsu laughed loudly, flapping his wings fiercely, and his entire body shot into the sky, flames swirling around him, forming a fiery tornado.
"Fire Dragons Wing Attack!"
The fiery tornado dove down. Comet's pupils contracted, and he crossed his claws in front of him, black mist surging wildly, forming a giant dark energy sphere that protected his entire body.
"Boom—!"
Flames and black mist collided, and the explosive shockwave shook the entire cave relentlessly.
Amidst the smoke and dust, Comet's figure was sent flying backward, his black mist shield shattered, and his arms were charred black.
But his wounds were still rapidly healing, black mist continuously pouring out from within him, repairing his damaged body.
"No end to it, huh?" Natsu narrowed his eyes, flames condensing into a scorching fireball in his palm, "Then I'll burn you until you can't recover!"
Comet let out a low growl, his crimson eyes fixed on Natsu, then he suddenly pushed off with his limbs, his figure transforming into an afterimage, instantly circling behind Natsu, his sharp claws aiming directly for his back!
"Aye! Behind you!" Happy's voice exploded in Natsu's mind.
Natsu's mouth curved into a smile, and he fiercely flapped the white wings on his back, instantly rising higher, Comet's sharp claws grazing the soles of his feet.
"Too slow!" Natsu laughed loudly, flames coiling around his right leg, and he delivered a powerful spinning kick to Comet's head.
"Fire Dragon's—Claw!"
"Bang!"
Comet's head was violently twisted to one side by the kick, his neck emitting a cracking sound under the strain.
But his body twisted strangely, and his other claw, wreathed in black smoke, fiercely grabbed at Natsu's abdomen.
"Whoosh—!"
Natsu grunted, a gash torn open on his abdomen, blood splattering.
But Happy's healing magic immediately took effect, and with a flash of white light, the wound quickly healed.
"Aye! Shield!" Happy's voice rang out again, and a light blue energy shield appeared around Natsu. Comet's second claw, which followed closely, was blocked by the shield, producing a grating sound.
"Ha! Nice work!" Natsu laughed, his fists blazing with flames, and he slammed them fiercely at Comet outside the shield.
"Fire Dragon's—Fang!"
"Boom! Boom!"
Two heavy punches landed solidly on Comet's chest, flames exploded, and Comet's body was sent flying backward like a cannonball, crashing deep into the rock wall, which collapsed, burying him.
Smoke and dust filled the air, and the cave fell silent for a moment.
"Is it over?" Natsu panted slightly, flames still burning around him.
"Aye... something's not right!" Happy's voice suddenly became tense.
"Boom—!"
The pile of rubble suddenly exploded, and Comet's figure slowly stood up.
His body was larger than before, his black fur stood on end like steel needles, and his crimson eyes almost dripped blood.
His wounds were still healing, but the speed had noticeably slowed, and the surging of black mist had become sluggish.
"Roar—!" Comet threw his head back and let out a deafening wolf howl, the rocks on the cave ceiling shaking and falling due to the sound waves.
"Tsk, he can still get stronger?" Natsu clicked his tongue, but the fighting spirit in his eyes grew even hotter.
"Aye! Natsu, his recovery power is weakening!" Happy keenly noticed the change in Comet's state.
"Then now's the time!" Natsu flapped his wings, flames wildly converging around him, and his entire being transformed into a scorching fireball, charging straight at Comet.
"Fire Dragon's—Brilliant Flame!"
Comet roared, crossing his claws, black mist wildly condensing, forming a giant dark scythe that he swung down at Natsu!
"Crescent Moon Demon Scythe!"
The moment the flames and the dark scythe collided, the entire cave shook violently, the rock walls cracked, and rubble rained down.
"Boom—!"
The explosive shockwave sent both of them flying. Natsu crashed into the rock wall, the white wings on his back slightly dimmed, but the flames still burned.
Comet, on the other hand, fell heavily in the center of the altar, his dark scythe shattered, his chest charred black, and the black mist's repair speed could no longer keep up with the worsening injuries.
"One last strike!" Natsu took a deep breath, spread his wings wide, cupped his hands around his mouth, and his chest swelled high.
"Fire Dragons Roar!"
A scorching white flame breath erupted, blasting towards Comet like divine punishment.
Comet struggled to dodge, but his body could no longer keep up with his consciousness, and he could only watch as the flames engulfed him.
"Roar—!"
Comet's final wail came from within the flames. His body gradually carbonized amidst the intertwining black and white, eventually turning into a pile of charred remains, completely losing all signs of life.
As the flames dissipated, only scorched air and scattered ashes remained in the cave.
Natsu slowly landed, the white wings on his back gradually fading. Happy's figure separated from his body, the small blue cat resting tiredly on his shoulder.
"Aye... I'm exhausted..." Happy panted, his wings drooping.
"Nice work, Happy!" Natsu grinned, ruffling Happy's head.
He walked to Comet's remains, kicked the charred bones, and after confirming that the opponent was completely dead, he finally let out a sigh of relief.
However, looking at the charred corpse in front of him, Natsu frowned, "Burned like this, I wonder if EZ can still get information from the body."
Happy disdainfully fanned his small paws to disperse the burnt smell, "Aye! Probably, EZ always soul-searches, and if he just died, the soul power hasn't had time to dissipate."
Natsu frowned as he picked up Comet's charred corpse, "Alright then."
"Let's go, let's see how EZ is doing."
Natsu turned around, dragging the corpse with one hand, and raising the other hand above his head, flames dancing at his fingertips, illuminating the path to the cave entrance.
