Elira looked down at the powerless toy beneath her foot. Then hundreds of soldiers materialized behind her throne. Bloody constructs rising from the ocean at her command.
She did it just to show Leon exactly how much power she held in this domain now. One orc from her bloody army stepped forward and together with the golem, they grabbed Leon by both arms and hoisted him up. Forcing him to look properly at their queen.
Elira spoke from her throne. "You were being played from the very start. Every move of mine led you here. Every dodge. Every block. Every desperate escape was calculated. And each one laid the foundation of your doom."
She tilted her head.
"But that wasn't even your worst mistake. The worst was that you fell for my act. You actually believed I was struggling. That every painful scream was real. That the pain was breaking me."
