DOMINIC
Yes, I said it.
I wasn't going to stand by and watch another man claim my child as if he had any part in bringing her into this world.
I mean it was my fucking sperm that had created her and the rest of her siblings!
Harper stared at me, her eyes wide with disbelief. She let out a scoff, shaking her head, but at that point, I didn't care about her reaction or the doctor, who was now looking between us like he had stepped into something far more complicated than he expected.
"Um…" the doctor cleared his throat again. "I need to speak with her parents."
"I am her father—"
"Stop it, Dominic!" Harper snapped before I could finish.
Her glare burned into me.
"She's my daughter," she continued, her voice sharp. "I'm the only one who decides who her father is and who isn't!"
"It's okay," Julian said, stepping closer to her, his presence solid and steady in a way that grated on my nerves.
