Nathan Foster looked over and saw Chester Lynch walking towards them.
"Why are you still up so late?" Nathan asked casually.
"Couldn't sleep, just went for a walk. Didn't expect Mr. Foster to be up as well," Chester said as he walked up to Nathan.
Nathan let out a soft "hmm" and continued to watch the two people sitting on the grass in front of him.
Chester followed Nathan's gaze, and after a moment, he chuckled.
Nathan turned his head to look at him just as Chester pointed to the spot where the two people were sitting.
"Uncle, it was right there, the second day after school started. South and I couldn't sleep, so we went for a walk and ended up sitting right there. But then we were spotted by campus patrol and had to run to the nearby woods to shake them off. It's kind of funny when you think about it."
Nathan's gaze darkened as he listened to Chester, much like the night around them.
"Funny, is it?"
Nathan's voice was cold, whereas Chester seemed not to hear it at all.
