"I wish it were as simple as you say," Summer Lowell sighed softly.
The baby in her arms looked up at Summer with big, watery eyes and suddenly burst into laughter, seemingly without reason.
That laugh made Summer's heart melt, and sparked a thought in her mind—a desire to have a little bundle of joy to amuse every day.
Speaking of having a baby, Summer suddenly remembered the contraceptive pills she had hidden in the wardrobe.
"Vivian, I just remembered something!"
Vivian Sullivan saw her anxious expression and became tense too, "What's wrong? Speak slowly, don't rush!"
Summer was just about to speak when she hesitated, returning the baby to Vivian first. She then got up and walked to the door, checking the surroundings outside before returning.
"What's going on? You're being all mysterious."
Vivian looked at her with curiosity and amusement amidst the tension. "Did you do something you're guilty about, afraid Maxim Sinclair might hear?"
