Chapter 62 - Chapter 62

|3rd POV|

A massive movement is happening in the Galaxy. For once in who knows how long, two races are working together to create a better future. After they are freed from Slaneesh's grasp, the Eldars begin to show they can rule the entire galaxy and fight the Necrons at their peak alongside the other older races.

The Mechanicus might have the power to churn a lot of things at a very fast rate, but they need the material, and gathering those materials takes time. Lucky for them, the Eldars use their technology to move asteroids and small empty moons between star systems to be used as material for construction.

The progress went so fast that they had already finished the first phase in just five days after they had all the material they needed. Kael doesn't like how there are a lot of people dead from the construction and wants to stop the construction to take care of them.

However, he also knows that it is a necessary sacrifice. He can feel a piece of his humanity left in his body, but he needs to stay strong for now and keep walking forward. When it is over, he can return and start to enjoy a slow life.

They continue to construct the megastructure in the middle of the Realm of Ultramar, where various Space Marine chapters remain to help protect the giga project from any threats approaching the area.

And there are a lot of them.

Among those threats is the Ork. With the shifting of the movement in the galaxy and because of the Two Green Gods pointing their fingers in a certain direction, the Green Tide appears, and they are here for some Krumpin.

Guilliman reacts fast and starts a defensive ring around the outer part of his realm. He created a perfect defensive formation that used both the power of the Eldars and the Mechanical prowess of Kael.

It is through the use of his [Tinker – Defense (IV)] ability that Kael is able to create a perfect fortress that can take a lot of damage before it can be broken down. In fact, it is because of this one fortress that the outer ring is able to hold the line alone.

Two chapters of Space Marines and twenty regiments of Astra Militarum were able to hold the line for five days before reinforcements arrived and swept the battlefield clean. The Doom Eagles lose twenty Space Marines in the battle, and the Eagle Warriors lose thirty Space Marines.

As for the Astra Militarum, they lose 65% of their soldiers. It is a good outcome for this battle in Guilliman's eyes.

Seeing how powerful Kael's creation is, Guilliman immediately orders another fortress to be built in the key planets around the system. However, to speed up the process, Guilliman told Kael to create a new compound and coating rather than build the hold fortress.

However, it is something that is good enough in the Primarch's eyes.

It takes him twenty days to fortify ten planets using the new compound to create the fortress and the coating that allows it to withstand significant damage. It is just in time, as one of the most infamous Ork Warbosses is leading the biggest Waaagh the galaxy has ever seen in a long time.

Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, the Prophet of the Waaagh!.

He wants to fight the 'Old Bale Eye', but the Gods are speaking through him, and he shall answer. So, he and his boys fly through the warp, fighting daemons attempting to corrupt his ship and arrive in Ultramar.

It is lucky for the Imperium that after sending the STC to the Mechanicus that allows them to create the synthetic ingredient for building the fortress alongside the coating, he decides to create a device that prevents anyone from the Warp from appearing in the middle of Ultramar.

Combining the ability of [Tinker – Dimension], [Tinker – Defense (IV)], and [Tinker – Travel], Kael is able to create a Warp Drive relocation device. It is a massive device that prevents anyone from leaving the warp except at a few points.

Kael spread this device in key planets that are heavily fortified by Space Marines and Imperial Guards, and the reason why Ghazghkull's arrival is immediately greeted by heavy fire from all ships that stay around the point.

The battlefield against Ghazghkull is divided into two fronts. The first one is where Guilliman leads his sons and his successor sons against the Warboss himself. The second front is where Eldrad Ulthran and Yvraine lead the other Aeldari against the Orks.

Without the fear of being swallowed by Slaanesh after death, the Aeldari are willing to use daring moves and even frontal attacks against the Orks, who struggle against the speed of the Space Elves and even their Waaagh! Energy cannot beat the Psychic power of the Aeldari.

On the other side, Ghazghkull has the best time of his life as he engages in close combat. With a roar, he swings his Gork's Klaw at Guilliman, who parries the attack with his sword. Ghazghkull does not stop there as he points his Mork's Roar at Guilliman, who jumps away before the massive hand cannons can turn him to red mist.

The two continue to fight on the planet's surface. The Orks have the numbers, but the Imperium has the technology from Kael, who is working overtime to keep adapting against the Orks, who are creating a copy of his technology.

It is of lesser quality, but it is slowly getting there. People are afraid of the Orks because of their physical strength and durability, but Kael is afraid of their adaptability. Orks are created for war, and their physical capabilities are not the only thing to watch out for.

And so he decided to focus on his [Tinker – Alchemy (IV)] ability to create a counter against the Ork. He asks the Rejects and his Guardians to take some samples from the battlefield. With ten Orks in his workshop, he starts to work.

It does not take him long to create something. He developed a pesticide that prevented Ork's spores from growing. It is not 100% foolproof, but it is good enough to kill most spores; if any remain, spray some more. It will kill the rest before it can grow into a proper Ork.

He orders Rachel to tell the Mechanicus to produce the pesticide and start to spread it through the ship because of the presence of the Ork corpse, and create something that allows the pesticide to be spread across the planet.

With that order going through, he began focusing on a better pesticide. However, before he can even start, he feels something in the distance. He can feel something disgusting.

'It is bad, Kael! It is bad!'

"What is it, Ddraig? I can only feel the disgusting feeling."

'It is them. It is the parasites. They are moving. What you are feeling is something with a massive amount of Chaotic Energy condensed into a single place in the Warp and preparing to burst, breaking the veil between Realspace and the Warp. Use your Soul Stone.'

Without hesitation, he taps into the Soul Stone and immediately shivers when he sees the full picture of what Ddraig is talking about. What he is seeing is a massive pimple that is ballooning into Realspace and ready to burst.

It feels disgusting, and seeing it with the help of the Soul Stone makes his stomach churn.

Lucky for him, an intense golden light and a soft green energy enter his ship. A few seconds later, he sees two figures emerge from that energy. The Emperor and Isha are here, looking serious and concerned.

Kael takes a deep breath and says.

"You two don't need to say anything. I already know. We will greet them and prepare for their arrival."
