That matched their earlier suspicions. There was nothing left in Asgard worth coveting—except the Tesseract.
Just like how a global superpower might not care about deserts… unless there's oil.
Where there's oil, there will be armies.
Now they finally understood what Lin Feng meant—how a single moment of greed led to Asgard's destruction.
Ragnarok didn't happen all at once. It happened in two steps.
One destroyed Asgard itself.The other wiped out its people.
Even Odin probably never imagined such an ending.
At that moment, everyone realized something terrifying.
If Thanos wanted the Tesseract… and the Tesseract was now on Earth…
Then wouldn't Earth be next?
They suddenly felt grateful that both Odin and Ancient One were still alive.

Meanwhile, Thor clenched his teeth.

Surrounded by the Black Order, Loki had no real choice.
If he refused, destruction would come instantly.
"I trust you understand the situation," Thanos said coldly.
"Of course," Loki replied calmly."Kill him."
Thanos didn't hesitate. He used the Power Stone to torture Thor.
Even outside the scene, Thor's expression darkened.
What a "good brother" he had.
But when Thor was on the verge of death—
Loki finally shouted:
"Enough!"
Thor felt both relieved… and disappointed.
At least Loki hadn't completely abandoned him.
"The Tesseract isn't here," Thor said stubbornly."It was destroyed with Asgard."
But Loki didn't follow along.
He took out the Tesseract.
"How could I have a brother like you?" Thor growled weakly.
"I promise you," Loki said,"We'll survive this."
"Now is not the time for optimism," Thanos sneered.
Loki raised his head.
"First—I'm not an Asgardian.Second…"
He paused.
"We have the Hulk."
Everyone froze.
They all remembered how Hulk had smashed Loki around like a toy.
And now… Loki was relying on him?
It was absurd. Almost tragic.
But for Loki…
For once, he was on the stronger side.
…Probably.
With a roar, Hulk charged in.
He slammed into Thanos, landing several heavy blows and even knocking him back.
For a moment, it looked like Hulk had the upper hand.
Thanos' subordinates moved to intervene—
But Ebony Maw stopped them.
"Let him have his fun."
But very quickly—
Everything changed.
Thanos grabbed Hulk's arms and broke his momentum.
Unlike Hulk, who fought like a raging child…
Thanos fought with precision and skill.
He countered. Controlled. Overpowered.
Then he crushed him.
Completely.
The Avengers watching were stunned.
They had never seen Hulk defeated like this.
Now they understood what Lin Feng meant—
Hulk wasn't just beaten.
He was traumatized.
Even Bruce Banner realized the truth.
Hulk was powerful…
But mentally, he was still just a child.
And that child had just been utterly broken.
Thor tried to fight back—
But he was easily defeated.
Then restrained by Ebony Maw.
With his last strength, Heimdall called upon dark magic.
He activated the Bifrost—
And sent Hulk away.
"You shouldn't have done that," Thanos said coldly.
Then he killed Heimdall.
"NO!" Thor screamed in grief.
Even outside the scene, his expression was filled with pain.
Heimdall had watched him grow up.
And now he was gone.
"You will pay for this!" Thor roared.
But Thanos silenced him.
Then Thanos turned to Ebony Maw.
The Tesseract was presented to him.
"With your power, you stand above all," Ebony Maw said reverently."None have ever possessed such greatness."
Thanos crushed the Tesseract.
Inside—
The Space Stone appeared.
He placed it into the Infinity Gauntlet.
A terrifying surge of power erupted.
Only now did everyone truly understand.
The Tesseract…
was the Space Stone all along.
"Now it makes sense," said Tony Stark.
Natasha nodded.
"Just like the Eye of Agamotto is the Time Stone."
Everything finally connected.
But the most terrifying realization came from Banner:
"Thanos didn't even use the Power Stone…and still defeated Hulk."
Silence fell.
Any last hope they had…
was gone.
