On second thought, it seemed that everyone in Soldier Boy's entire team—except for Soldier Boy himself—was still alive and well.
Even Black Noir had joined The Seven.
One had to admit, Black Noir was a true winner in life. After the Avengers, The Seven was the most elite superhero team around. And yet, Black Noir was in it!
Of course, this was getting a bit off-topic. But even if the only one who died in the Avengers was Soldier Boy, that didn't necessarily mean someone else had betrayed him.
Oh, wait. According to the diary, Soldier Boy hadn't died.
But whether all of this was true or false, Starlight had no way of judging.
In fact, because it contradicted everything she knew, she was even more inclined to disbelieve it.
If it weren't for the diary's supernatural properties, she wouldn't have hesitated for a single moment.
As for Soldier Boy being backstabbed by Butcher, Starlight couldn't possibly know the details since the diary provided no further information.
But judging by the situation, Soldier Boy's attempt to take down Homelander must have failed.
And what happened to Soldier Boy?
He was imprisoned once again.
If everything in the diary was true, Soldier Boy was truly a tragic figure.
"..."
Tony, standing before the other diary, could only feel pity for Soldier Boy. He was at a loss for words.
*Just how unlucky can Soldier Boy get?*
*Getting betrayed once is bad enough, but to be betrayed time and time again?*
First, he was betrayed by his own team. Though the diary didn't elaborate on the details, the outcome was undoubtedly a nightmare.
And then, he was betrayed by Butcher.
The Playboy remembered this all too clearly: Soldier Boy only agreed to target Homelander because Butcher had asked him to!
So what kind of move was this?
Butcher invites a man to take down his own son, only to turn his back at the last minute and stab him in the back?
Is this how a human being behaves?
This Butcher guy doesn't seem like much of a good person either.
Based on the previous spoilers, Tony had guessed that Butcher might be a member of The Boys—a group dedicated to taking down "scum superheroes"—so he might actually be a good guy.
But now it seems his guess was off. Or at least, that possibility wasn't out of the question.
[So Butcher is really a total bastard.]
[He stirred up so much trouble just to deal with Homelander, even forming The Boys.]
[A bunch of ordinary people getting together to plot Homelander's death... should we call that commendable courage, or just sheer recklessness?]
[If Homelander's son hadn't been born to Butcher's wife, wouldn't Butcher have been killed by Homelander countless times already?]
[It's a good thing Kimiko and Starlight joined later, otherwise they'd just be a bunch of weaklings.]
"Looks like my guess was correct."
Tony couldn't help but shrug, wearing an "I knew it all along" expression. The facts aligned perfectly with his previous analysis.
Butcher was indeed a member of The Boys—no, more than that, he was the one who *founded* them!
*So, The Boys are actually an organization made up of ordinary humans?*
This was a bit unexpected for Tony. He had assumed they were a team of superheroes, just like The Seven, but they were the exact opposite!
If that were the case, how could The Boys possibly stand a chance against The Seven? The power gap between them was simply too massive.
Even if he ignored the rest of The Seven and looked only at Homelander, he was still far beyond anyone ordinary. They weren't even in the same league.
The Boys were truly a bunch of warriors.
"What a mess of a relationship!"
After a brief sigh, the playboy turned his attention back to the diary and immediately gasped in disbelief.
*What the hell?*
*Homelander's son was born to Butcher's wife?*
*Doesn't that mean Homelander cuckolded Butcher?*
*Holy shit.*
Tony had never imagined such a twist. To think that the two opposing sides shared such an unusual "connection."
*So, is this why Butcher formed the team to take down Homelander?*
*Turns out it's just another messy relationship drama!*
*Now that they're linked by this "bond," could Butcher betray the team and switch sides when they're fighting Homelander with Soldier Boy?*
Tony thought it was possible. After all, when you stripped it all down, one was the biological father and the other was the stepfather.
*Behind closed doors, they're still family, aren't they?*
Then there was Kimiko.
The diary had mentioned her before, confirming she was a super-soldier, and now it laid out the facts even more clearly.
*But is Kimiko also part of The Boys?*
*If so, why did she clash with Soldier Boy, and why did he strip her of her powers?*
*The story behind this seemed way more complicated than it looked.*
"No way..."
"This is too absurd!"
Starlight, reading from another diary, was completely dumbfounded.
*What the hell is this diary even saying?*
*Homelander's son was actually born to another man's wife!*
*My God, how could Homelander ever do something like that!*
The rose-colored glasses Starlight had worn for him shattered completely.
She knew that if the contents of this diary ever leaked, it would cause an absolute firestorm.
Then there was "The Boys"—the only other organization mentioned in the diary. It was even given the same name as this entire universe, placing it above The Seven.
Starlight had assumed it was some grand, influential group. Even if it couldn't rival The Seven, it surely wouldn't be anything less than formidable.
But in the end, it turned out to be a group of mere mortals?
A bunch of ordinary people plotting to assassinate Homelander?
What kind of joke was this!
Are they insane?!
That's *Homelander*!
No sane adult would ever even consider such a plan. There was zero chance of success, and it would only get them killed.
To put it bluntly, it was absolute suicide.
Seeing that people actually joined a group so desperate to die, Starlight couldn't help but lament: *There are a hell of a lot of crazy people in this world!*
"Wait a minute!"
"Me?"
Starlight's eyes widened in disbelief.
She had just been thinking about how only the craziest people would join The Boys, and then she turned around to find that *she* had joined them too?
Bullshit!
This was absolute bullshit. Had she lost her mind? Was she just looking for a death wish?
How could she possibly join an organization dedicated to taking down Homelander?
And didn't the diary just say she'd joined The Seven?
Why was it now saying she'd joined The Boys?
This was utterly absurd.
"Wait..."
Then, a thought struck her, and she recalled a previous entry in the diary.
It had mentioned that although she'd joined The Seven, she immediately regretted it.
Because she discovered that The Seven were all absolute scumbags!
So, was the diary implying that she'd joined The Seven, discovered their true nature, and then quit in regret?
And because of that, she decided to fight them and joined The Boys?
*No way, right?*
What kind of insane plot twist is this?!
Even if The Seven weren't as the diary described—and even if they *were*—no one would be that reckless.
That's just asking to die!
[I bet Butcher and the Headmistress of Godot University would have a lot to talk about. They're practically cut from the same cloth.]
[The Headmistress's husband and son were both killed by Homelander, so just like Butcher, she's sworn to kill him.]
[And her methods are way more sophisticated than Butcher's.]
[She's secretly developed a virus that targets only supernatural beings—or rather, one that only affects those with Compound V—capable of wiping out the entire superpowered race.]
[Complete genocide of all supernatural beings!]
[Sound familiar? The complex dynamic between Mutants and humans might just play out in this world too.]
*Godot University?*
Starlight connected the dots in an instant.
Godot University—the same name as the specialized school for supernatural beings.
For the vast majority of supernatural beings, that school held an incredibly special significance—it was practically the ultimate institution.
After all, the school had indeed produced numerous legends. Superstars like Deep Sea, Queen Maeve, and The Train from The Seven were all graduates of this very school.
Moreover, countless talent agencies, entertainment firms, and all sorts of other companies maintained close and fruitful partnerships with Godot University.
It was fair to say that the school was the golden hall for supernatural beings. Within its walls, ascending to the pinnacle of success was a far more attainable goal. The opportunities available there were exponentially greater than what an ordinary person could ever hope for.
Starlight had once dreamed of attending the school herself. Unfortunately, the entry requirements were prohibitively high; it wasn't a place just anyone could get into.
Of course, the more crucial point was that the school was also a Vought International property. It was, for all intents and purposes, Vought's talent cultivation base and star-making factory. The school and Vought International were inextricably linked, sharing a common destiny and mutual interests.
And now, the diary was telling Starlight that the headmistress of *this very school* was also determined to kill Homelander?
How were things taking such a surreal and insane turn?
So many people and events were catching Starlight completely off guard, even threatening to shatter her worldview.
Still, if the diary's claims were true—that Headmistress Xie Ti's husband and son had both died at Homelander's hands—then her desire for revenge was understandable.
The real problem was that Starlight refused to believe Homelander was a murderer.
On the contrary, Homelander had always been fighting crime. He was a superhero!
"A virus?"
"A virus to kill all supernatural beings?"
*Hiss!*
Starlight couldn't help but gasp.
Was Headmistress Xie Ti really this ruthless?
How could she be so ambitious in her cruelty?
Her target wasn't just Homelander anymore—it was *every single supernatural being*.
*She's insane!*
Headmistress Xie Ti had truly lost her mind.
Hatred had completely blinded her reason and devoured her humanity!
This made Starlight, a supernatural being herself, shudder uncontrollably.
Even though she still harbored deep doubts about the diary's contents—her skepticism far outweighing her belief—she couldn't help but be shaken. The events described were simply too horrifying. Even a one percent chance of them being true was enough to keep anyone awake at night. Starlight found it impossible to remain calm.
*But what are Mutants?*
"How much havoc has Homelander wreaked?!" Tony exclaimed, reading a different diary.
The Butcher incident mentioned earlier was already a disaster Homelander had caused, and now another one had surfaced—one far worse than the first. Butcher had merely been cuckolded, but what had Homelander done to the Headmistress? He had destroyed her entire family!
So, while the Headmistress's methods were far more extreme, Tony could, in some ways, understand her.
This person is quite similar to Magneto.
Didn't Magneto decide to annihilate all of humanity because his wife and daughter died at their hands?
Headmistress Xie Ti was the same.
They both transferred their hatred for a specific individual onto the entire group.
Moreover, this Xie Ti was no simple character; she had even developed a virus that only affected supernatural beings.
Could she be a super scientist?
Actually, Playboy had guessed completely wrong here. Headmistress Xie Ti was just an ordinary headmistress, with absolutely no connection to being a scientist.
It was just that the "The Woods," the supernatural being research center she secretly controlled, had a pretty badass guy in it.
But how should I put it? That guy was Headmistress Xie Ti's subordinate!
"Mutants?"
"An interesting analogy."
And when Satan compared the supernatural beings of The Boys World to mutant humans, Tony also felt that it wasn't without reason.
After all, the diary had mentioned earlier that the supernatural beings of The Boys World were "mass-produced."
What did "mass-produced" mean?
Combined with the fact that their powers were hereditary, it meant the number of supernatural beings in The Boys World was bound to be substantial.
So, what did this latest spoiler reveal?
The diary stated it clearly: the virus Headmistress Xie Ti was researching, specifically targeting Compound V, could wipe out all supernatural beings.
What did this imply?
Every single supernatural being had Compound V in their body, and this substance was undoubtedly heritable.
Didn't that make it the equivalent of the X-gene in Mutants?
Strictly speaking, the supernatural beings in The Boys World would likely face the same set of problems as Mutants. It would involve a complex web of issues across all aspects of life.
Of course, the Playboy didn't know this yet. For now, the supernatural beings in The Boys World were still exalted, worshipped by the entire world.
But after Homelander publicly murdered an ordinary person, and Starlight openly quit The Seven, everything had begun to subtly change.
