Chapter 353 - Fighting Galactus One-on-One? No Big Deal!

"Reed, I think I have some information that might answer your questions."

Seeing the timing was right, Nick Fury straightened his expression and gave Reed a general briefing on the intelligence regarding Galactus.

"A terrifying being that feeds on planets?"

Reed was stunned after hearing this. Even someone of his intellect and experience was profoundly shaken by the news.

Despite his vast knowledge and worldly experience, he had never heard of a super-powered entity on Galactus's level.

"But if that's the case, it actually explains everything."

Reed nodded immediately, a look of sudden realization on his face.

Without waiting for Nick Fury to speak, Reed took the initiative and made a request. "Can I meet this extraterrestrial lifeform?"

"Of course. In fact, that's exactly why I came to see you."

This was exactly why Egghead had come here. In fact, Reed's proposal played right into his hands, and Egghead immediately nodded in agreement.

There were only a few months left until Galactus arrived—time was running out!

So, after reaching an agreement with Reed, Nick Fury wasted no time and immediately took him to the Three-Feathered Tower.

They were led into the Research Center where Vision was being repaired.

Reed joined the ultra-deluxe scientific team, beginning the corresponding research and repair of Vision.

"Is this what a mechanical lifeform is?"

"It's a biological composition I've never seen before. It's as if a whole new door has been opened."

"The only regret is that we're running out of time!"

Ultimate Tony, a member of the research team, fell into deep thought after gaining a basic understanding of Vision.

Before joining the team, Ultimate Tony had overestimated himself.

He had originally thought that even though a mechanical lifeform was a completely new "discipline," as long as it involved machinery, he would surely have a role to play.

But the reality was completely different.

Even with his experience building Iron Man suits, Ultimate Tony found this task incredibly difficult. Even seeing Reed join in, he struggled to hold much hope for a quick repair of Vision.

"No, we can't keep going like this."

Ultimate Tony paused his work and began to think about a more crucial matter.

Unlike most of the scientists on the team, Ultimate Tony understood the gravity of the situation far better. He also knew of a second path forward, beyond just repairing Vision.

What path?

The owner of the diary, Zhou Cheng, of course.

If anyone in the world besides Vision knew more detailed information about Galactus, it was undoubtedly Zhou Cheng.

Admittedly, Ultimate Tony had previously decided to follow the advice of the Tony from the neighboring universe and not reveal his identity as the diary's owner to him.

But now, how could Ultimate Tony afford to worry about such things?

Earth was about to be devoured by Galactus!

Of course, the diary did mention that Professor X and Reed had teamed up to resolve this crisis.

But Ultimate Tony could never bring himself to place all his hopes on that alone. If he hadn't known about Zhou Cheng's second cheat-like ability, it would be one thing, but now that he did, how could he just stand by?

What Ultimate Tony hadn't expected, however, was that before he could even act, someone else had already beaten him to it.

Who?

Nick Fury!

"Stark."

Just as Ultimate Tony was leaving the Research Center to find Zhou Cheng, he ran into Egghead, who was heading there.

"You're leaving? Wait a moment. I need to talk to you."

Nick Fury stopped Ultimate Tony and made a gesture inviting him to follow.

Seeing Egghead's expression, Ultimate Tony knew Nick Fury must have something important to discuss. He nodded and followed him into a meeting room.

"Alright, what is it? If possible, I'd like you to condense it into a single sentence," Ultimate Tony said, lounging arrogantly on the sofa.

"How do you know Zhou Cheng?"

"How much do you know about him?"

Nick Fury asked Ultimate Tony point-blank.

"Why are you asking?"

Ultimate Tony shrugged. He never expected Egghead to come to him because of Zhou Cheng, the owner of the diary.

"Although you've already told me the general plan to deal with Galactus, I haven't seen any reassuring progress so far."

"So, I have to prepare a Plan B," Egghead admitted.

"You're planning to hire Zhou Cheng to fight Galactus?"

Ultimate Tony understood Nick Fury's meaning in an instant, but he subconsciously shook his head.

Even though Ultimate Tony knew that Zhou Cheng was a powerhouse from another universe with truly unfathomable strength, it was still hard to have much confidence in this matter.

After all, that was Galactus.

A being that could devour entire planets.

Could Zhou Cheng really be powerful enough to deal with Galactus?

"He's the most powerful person I've ever encountered."

"I don't know if he can do it, but for us, he's the one with the greatest possibility."

Egghead nodded. "That's why I've come to you. Given what you know about him, do you think he can possibly do it?"

*Yes, is it possible for Zhou Cheng?*

Ultimate Tony sank into deep thought.

Although he had read many of Zhou Cheng's diary entries, to be honest, his understanding of Zhou Cheng was still insufficient.

*It seems I have to ask my interdimensional netizen.*

"Wait for me a moment."

Ultimate Tony gave Egghead a quick nod, then swiftly entered the diary interface and contacted Tony from the neighboring universe.

"Stark, how much do you know about the diary owner, Zhou Cheng's strength?"

"Do you think he could possibly be a match for Galactus?"

Ultimate Tony asked Tony from Universe 199999 this question directly.

"Are you all dealing with the Galactus headache? Is he already on his way?"

Tony couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Ultimate Tony's universe. A villain of this caliber was a cataclysmic threat to any universe.

"He'll be here in a few months."

"Let's skip the pleasantries," Ultimate Tony replied curtly. "Our time is limited. Let's talk about Zhou Cheng."

"I wish I could give you a definitive answer," Tony admitted, "but I'm afraid I don't know the upper limit of Satan's power."

"However, I think you can be very optimistic about him."

"From what I know, Satan has been traveling through other universes lately. He can freely traverse the Multiverse."

"Though his methods are a bit crude, he is undeniably a Multiversal-level being."

"I've seen him in action a few times. It was only a glimpse, not his full power, but there's no doubt—he's incredibly strong."

"And you've read his diary. He shows absolutely no reverence, even to the most supreme beings."

Tony shared his thoughts with Ultimate Tony.

Ultimate Tony now had a clear idea of the situation.

"Of course, more importantly, no matter what, he should be your best choice, right?" Tony added, striking right at the heart of the matter.

*Yes.*

Whether or not Zhou Cheng could defeat Galactus, he was still the strongest person they had encountered!

If even Zhou Cheng couldn't handle it, no one else stood a chance.

Ultimate Tony now knew exactly what choice to make.

"I can't answer that question," he said.

After cutting off the communication with his other self, Ultimate Tony knew how to respond to Egghead. "But I do know some things about Zhou Cheng that you don't."

"He's not actually from our world. I don't know which universe he's from specifically, but he's been traveling through countless parallel universes."

"It's just that this time, he wandered into our universe and happened to run into me."

Nick Fury was secretly stunned. He never would have imagined that Zhou Cheng's background was so impressive!

But at the same time, his confidence in Zhou Cheng instantly soared.

If he could travel between multiple parallel universes, then dealing with Galactus wouldn't be impossible, right?

"Maybe that's exactly why Zhou Cheng knows so many things—things we don't know," Ultimate Tony said to Egghead again.

This made Egghead's eyes shine even brighter.

*This is promising!*

Nick Fury wasted no more time and immediately started contacting Zhou Cheng.

As for Ultimate Tony?

He temporarily abandoned his own plan.

Since Nick Fury intended to approach Zhou Cheng, there was no need for Ultimate Tony to take any unnecessary steps.

After all, Zhou Cheng was a mercenary. As long as Nick Fury was willing to pay, the man might still be persuaded to deal with Galactus.

Even if that failed, the worst-case scenario was that Egghead could still buy some crucial intelligence from him.

Ultimate Tony could take a break now.

"Nick Fury?"

Given the gravity of the situation, Egghead wasted no time. Just half an hour later, Zhou Cheng received a call from Nick Fury.

Zhou Cheng was still a bit surprised.

*The Liberators' mess had only just been settled, hadn't it?*

*It had only been a few days since he last left the Three-Feathered Tower.*

*How did Egghead manage to contact him again so soon?*

"Mr. Zhou, I have an important mission to discuss with you. I'm not sure when you'll be available?"

After a brief greeting, Nick Fury got straight to the point.

*Another mission?*

Although he had no idea what Nick Fury was plotting, Zhou Cheng would never refuse business delivered to his doorstep.

Without hesitation, Zhou Cheng agreed on a time with Egghead and arrived at the Three-Feathered Tower as promised.

He sat down face-to-face with Nick Fury.

"Mr. Zhou, have you ever heard of Galactus?"

After a few pleasantries, Nick Fury cut straight to the chase and asked Zhou Cheng this question.

*Galactus?*

Zhou Cheng paused for a moment before his mind raced to the answer.

*It seems Nick Fury must have discovered Vision in Tunguska.*

*But that's strange. Why didn't Zhou Cheng see the video Vision broadcast to the entire world?*

If he remembered correctly, in the original comics, it was Vision in Tunguska who broadcasted footage of aliens' horrific deaths to the entire world, warning of Galactus's imminent arrival. This had triggered a joint investigation by S.H.I.E.L.D. and Professor X.

But after a second thought, Zhou Cheng dismissed the matter.

After all, he wasn't constantly present in the Ultimate Universe, was he?

It was obvious that Vision had sent the signal while Zhou Cheng was away, which is why Nick Fury and Professor X had discovered it.

Suddenly, everything clicked for Zhou Cheng.

"So, you've already found that robot, haven't you?" Zhou Cheng asked Nick Fury, his tone brimming with certainty.

On the surface, Nick Fury remained unruffled, but his heart sank.

This information was an absolute secret within S.H.I.E.L.D., yet Zhou Cheng had deduced it so effortlessly.

There were only two possibilities.

First, Zhou Cheng's intelligence came from S.H.I.E.L.D. itself. This would mean that not only was his power-level off the charts, but he also commanded a terrifyingly efficient intelligence network—one that could see right through S.H.I.E.L.D.

Second, Zhou Cheng had experienced something similar in another universe, allowing him to guess the answer with ease.

Either way, both possibilities underscored just how extraordinary Zhou Cheng truly was.

This only made Nick Fury value Zhou Cheng more—and fear him more.

Considering he had specifically sought out Zhou Cheng for Galactus, Nick Fury didn't deny it.

"This is a bit awkward, Mr. Zhou. You're casually revealing top-secret S.H.I.E.L.D. information."

"But at the same time, it puts me more at ease, and makes me even more hopeful."

Egghead sighed softly before getting down to business. "Since Mr. Zhou already knows, I won't keep you in suspense. Galactus is coming. I wonder if Mr. Zhou can deal with him?"

*Yeah.*

*Can I deal with Uncle Galactus?*

Zhou Cheng was actually quite curious about this himself.

After such a long period of strengthening, his power had already far surpassed that of the likes of the Ancient One and Odin.

But just how far he could go, even Zhou Cheng himself wasn't sure.

Compared to truly top-tier existences like Galactus and the Celestials, Zhou Cheng wasn't sure how large the gap was.

However, for the current Zhou Cheng, Galactus was indeed no longer a threat he needed to fear.

After all, Uncle Galactus was Marvel's combat power benchmark!

He'd been defeated by countless people, so Zhou Cheng wasn't intimidated in the slightest.

He was even a little eager to try.

Even if he couldn't win, he could always flee to another universe.

He really wanted to know what the outcome would be if he fought Galactus. (End of chapter)
