Naruto tilted his head again, staring at another diary.
He had no idea what the term "scientist" actually meant. Of course, terms like *dōjutsu*, *curse mark*, and *Ten-Tails Sword* were equally incomprehensible to him.
Regardless, the man named Orochimaru seemed incredibly powerful.
*He's truly Grandpa Hokage's student, huh?*
But if the diary was telling the truth—that Orochimaru was indeed Grandpa Hokage's student—why would he want to kill Grandpa Hokage?
Naruto was genuinely confused.
Whether this was true or not, if someone had used some bizarre jutsu to tell him that Grandpa Hokage was in danger, Naruto couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
He had already decided to go and clear things up with Grandpa Hokage himself.

Once outside, he used the Body Flicker Technique, darting through the houses and streets until he quickly arrived at the Hokage Building.
Although the Hokage Building was an important place, civilians were not prohibited from entering. Of course, most civilians wouldn't just wander in.
Naruto passed through the building unimpeded until he reached the door of the Hokage's Office, where he was finally stopped by Anbu ninjas.
"Kid, this isn't a place for you!" The emotionless ninja tried to shoo him away.
"I'm here to see Grandpa Hokage!" Naruto refused to leave so easily. He immediately started shouting at the top of his lungs, "Grandpa Hokage! Let me in! It's me, Naruto! I need to see you!"
"Hey, kid! Stop making such a racket here!" The Anbu ninja tried to silence him again.
"Ah, Naruto. Come in." A voice came from inside the Hokage's Office.
"See? Grandpa Hokage said I can come in!" Naruto stuck his tongue out at the Anbu ninjas, acting every bit the standard troublesome child. He pushed the door open with a triumphant grin and stood before the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen.
"Naruto..."
Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage, sat puffing on his pipe, clouds of smoke swirling around his head. "Did you scrub off all those graffiti on the Hokage Rock?"
"Of course!" Naruto declared, patting his little head with utmost sincerity.
"Really? Then why did I see some still there when I passed by earlier?" The Third Hokage didn't believe a word of it; he knew Naruto's nature too well.
Of course, he hadn't actually checked. He was too busy to care about such trivial matters; he was just trying to give Naruto a scare.
"Uh... yeah, I did?" Naruto's face fell. "I forgot when I went to eat earlier. But it's just a small thing, I'll scrub it off now."
*I knew this kid wasn't being honest!*
The Third Hokage wasn't surprised. He continued to tease Naruto, his voice calm and unhurried, "If you don't finish it today, you'll have a new punishment tomorrow."
"We'll talk about that later, Grandpa Hokage. Someone told me my father was the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato. Is that true?" Naruto tilted his head, his eyes wide with anticipation as he looked up at Sarutobi Hiruzen.
The Third Hokage was instantly startled.
*How did Naruto learn my identity?*
*How was this information leaked?*
*While many in the village knew this secret, who would dare reveal it without my explicit command?*
A series of questions flashed through the Third Hokage's mind.
Yet, like the old fox he was, he didn't betray his shock.
He calmly fixed his gaze on Naruto and asked, "Naruto, where did you hear this information?"
"Someone told me using an Illusion Technique," Naruto replied truthfully.
*Illusion Technique?*
The Third Hokage was genuinely surprised. He hadn't expected the truth to be revealed this way. After all, Illusion Techniques could expose sensitive information, and the various "schools" of such techniques differed greatly, often leaving obvious traces. Moreover, when dealing with a child like Naruto, there were far safer and more reliable methods.
*Why choose Illusion Technique?*
Regardless, since the other party had chosen Illusion Technique, there was no point dwelling on the reasons.
The Third Hokage swiftly scanned his mind for Konoha's most skilled Illusion Technique users.

The Third Hokage now considered this matter of utmost importance.
"Anbu!"
At his command, two Anbu ninjas immediately appeared before him using the Body Flicker Technique.
The Third Hokage briefly explained the situation to the ninjas and ordered them to investigate immediately.
Naruto was quickly taken away by the Anbu.
With their resources, the Anbu had no trouble investigating the matter. They immediately discovered something crucial:

At the Third Hokage's command, the Anbu sprang into action, operating with swift efficiency.
In an instant, the number of Anbu sentries monitoring Naruto—already under surveillance—doubled.
But it was all in vain.
Naruto's Illusion Technique was too unique. The Anbu ninjas could never uncover the truth.
What they could never have imagined was that the true culprit was leisurely seated at Ichiraku Ramen Shop.
Since he had come to Konoha, how could he not try the legendary Ichiraku Ramen?
"You look like a new face here," Uncle Teuchi said, placing a steaming bowl of ramen in front of Zhou Cheng.
