Chapter 369: Toward the Dawn Universe 7
At this moment, Nami—the main combat AI of the Izumo—spoke up to reassure everyone. "Don't worry. Master's unit still has over 70% energy remaining. Both solid rounds and beam weapons are unable to cause actual damage to it, so there won't be any problems.
We can provide fire support for Master by attacking the distant Earth Alliance forces, preventing them from rushing in to harass him."
"Then we'll be counting on you, Nami."
Watching Tolle, who still hadn't been able to return, Lynn Minmay grew increasingly anxious. With Nami's assistance, she immediately directed all weapons on the Izumo that could still be brought online, locking onto the distant MS units that kept charging toward Tolle and opening fire.
On Tolle's side, he continued to be entangled with the Three Drugged.
As the fight went on, Tolle suddenly felt himself enter another state. His reactions became noticeably sharper, and controlling the unit felt far easier than usual.
However, there was no time to think about that now—he needed to deal with the Three Drugged first and figure it out later.
The Flight Armor Strike Gundam, trailing faint afterimages, rapidly closed in on the Calamity Gundam and the Raider Gundam.
After unleashing a chaotic volley of close-range micro tracking missiles, it suddenly deployed the twin Calamity Claws, clamping down on both units at the same time.
Using them, it forcibly discharged electricity into the Calamity and Raider Gundams, then rapidly absorbed the electrical arcs, replenishing its own energy reserves.
Inside the cockpits of the Calamity and Raider Gundams, lightning continued to crackle. Even though Orga and Clotho were wearing pilot suits, they were still jolted by the energy surges from the electric arcs, their bodies convulsing violently as if dancing.
Off to the side, Shani immediately raised his heavy scythe and slashed toward the Calamity Claws' position.
But in that split second—
"Remote shields!" With Tolle's command, the three remote shields blocked Forbidden's attack and moved in to entangle it.
At the same time, the Flight Armor Strike Gundam dragged the two captured units backward, continuing to absorb their energy.
Before long, with the assistance of the neo DG cells, the energy of both the Calamity and Raider Gundams was completely drained. Tolle casually discarded them onto the nearby beach.
Then he raised the beam saber mounted on the left-arm shield system and charged toward the Forbidden Gundam, which was still surrounded by the three remote shields.
After a series of feints, he seized an opening and clamped the Calamity Claws around the Forbidden Gundam's body as well, forcibly discharging electricity and absorbing its energy.
"Minmay, have the Izumo cover me. Don't let the enemy rush in—I'm going to collect a bit of interest."
Hearing Tolle's transmission, Lynn Minmay replied nervously, "Brother, hurry up and come back. I'll make sure to cover you."
"Relax. Once I deal with these three units, I'll be back right away."
As he spoke, Tolle quickly returned to where the Calamity and Raider were, placing the now-drained Forbidden Gundam beside them.
Using the Flight-Pack's mechanical arms and the Calamity Claws, he forcibly pried open the cockpits of all three Gundams. He then pulled the unconscious Three Drugged out of their cockpits and tossed them onto the beach.
Just as Tolle was about to return—Forbidden clamped in his left claw, Raider in his right, and Calamity carried along—
Azrael urgently broadcast through the remaining units' open comm channels, speaking to Tolle in an arrogant tone. "Tolle Koenig, was it? Put down those three Gundams. In the name of the supreme leader of Blue Cosmos, I invite you to join our organization.
As a fellow Natural, I am willing to acknowledge you as the strongest Natural. You have no reason to refuse, do you?
Whether it's money or women, I will satisfy any demand you have."
Tolle sneered in disdain as he continued returning to the Izumo, opening the channel to fire back. "Join you? What are you smoking—are you sick in the head, or is there something wrong with your brain?
Do you think I'm an idiot? Don't think I can't tell—you just want to treat me like a lab rat.
And satisfy all my demands? Can you even afford that?"
Azrael continued arrogantly, "Whatever demands you have, we can sit down and discuss them slowly. As the strongest Natural, making some well-deserved contributions to the evolution of Naturals is only right.
Besides, what is there that Blue Cosmos can't do? We're just about to take Orb as well."
"Do you even deserve to hold the key?"
"Huh?"
Not understanding the remark, Azrael responded in confusion with a single syllable—only to be immediately shot down by Tolle.
"You don't deserve it." Tolle continued, "You useless piece of trash who can't even make proper use of what you have—you think you're qualified to command me? Keep dreaming. In your dreams, anything is possible.
As interest for you stealing my PX system and intelligent support system, I'll be taking these three Gundams you're so proud of and keeping them for safekeeping.
Besides, it looks like your people can't even pilot them properly. Might as well let our people put them to proper use."
By this point, Tolle had already returned to the Izumo's hangar, but he continued taunting Azrael. "You'd better hope I never see you again. Otherwise, every time I see you, I'll rob you."
Watching the three Gundams being taken away, Azrael was provoked beyond endurance. He jumped up from his seat in fury, stomping in place in a fit of rage.
"You ungrateful bastard! I will make you pay for this!"
Tolle replied with the same look of disdain. "Oh? Then let's wait and see who gets the last laugh. And I mean what I say—every time I see you, I'll rob you.
Bye-bye, my automatic delivery machine."
As his words fell, the Izumo's hangar doors closed, and Tolle no longer paid any attention to Azrael's impotent rage.
The Izumo immediately adjusted its heading and shot rapidly up into the sky.
At that same moment, in the Dawn Society command center, Uzumi smiled at the veteran councilors beside him and said proudly, "The seeds of the future have already flown away. That's enough. Neither Orb nor the world will be allowed to toy with them as they please."
He then pressed the activation button for the self-destruct systems of the Dawn Society factory and the mass driver without hesitation.
In an instant, a blinding white light erupted from Kaguya Island. Accompanied by thunderous explosions, the entire Dawn Society factory was reduced to ruins.
Immediately afterward, sections of the mass driver began exploding one after another. After a chain of detonations, it too was reduced to rubble.
On the Earth Alliance command ship, Azrael stared at the Dawn Society factory and mass driver, now blown into ruins, and flew into a towering rage, shouting furiously, "Those Asuha family bastards! And you too, Tolle, you bastard! One after another, daring to defy me! I'll make you all pay a terrible price!"
Peeking in on Azrael's enraged expression, Tolle crooked his mouth into a grin and had the neo DG cells give him an extra push.
After Azrael spat out a large mouthful of blood, Tolle, satisfied with the result, shut off the surveillance feed and stepped down from the cockpit.
