Chapter 325 - MHGA Chapter 325: The Battle Begins

MHGA Chapter 325: The Battle Begins

Following the earlier buildup, the audience on-site had grown fully energized. When they realized what appeared to be anime footage was actually a live broadcast overlaid with filters, they erupted in cheers.

On social media, discussion about this colossal event was trending sky-high.

Characters like Joseph and others—who had recently surged in popularity through their sudden online appearances—were now a hot topic.

Footage of Naofumi Iwatani's shield blocking Altair's attack, as well as Himmel charging from behind the shield wall, quickly went viral.

As for the final scene—Joseph brandishing Hermit Purple, made visible thanks to the Recognition Force camera, while chatting with Kairo Retsu—it received a special close-up on the big screen.

Both the live audience and the internet viewers spontaneously filled the comment feed with the same iconic line:

[Old man, your Stand is the most useless one!]

"Achoo!"

On his way to assist Yuuya Mirokuji, Joseph sneezed so violently he nearly blew off his glued-on mustache.

He had just sensed some malevolent force—enough to make Hermit Purple quiver.

It felt like countless people were mocking his Stand behind his back… surely no one would actually do that, right?

Then he remembered—the whole thing was being live-streamed.

Immediately, Joseph Joestar became indignant.

The most useless Stand? Like hell! He, Joseph Joestar, would prove that Hermit Purple was the most useful Stand of all!!!

Meanwhile, Himmel had launched his assault on Altair—but his sword was blocked mid-strike by the floating blades orbiting her.

Though he saw a clear opening in her defenses, could sense he could pierce her heart with one thrust—Himmel chose not to strike. Instead, he stepped on a sword and leapt backward, narrowly dodging a sudden surge of Frenzy Virus from below.

"ROARRRRRRR—!!!" Gore Magala let out a thunderous roar and suddenly lunged from the ground toward Himmel.

Nimbly, Himmel evaded the attack, and as he vaulted to another building, he left a deep gash in the monster's flesh.

"Watch out!"

Selesia, piloting her mecha, hurled a wave of force infused with chant toward Altair, knocking her into the sky.

At the same time, she grappled Gore Magala's massive body and slammed it to the ground with the weight of her machine.

"The hero who defeated the Demon King…"

Altair looked at Himmel with interest. "Since arriving in this world, you must've seen your own story."

She still believed Himmel and the others, like Selesia, were Creations brought into the world through stories and the Recognition Force.

So, she tried to persuade him as she had others.

"Then you should know what your future holds, shouldn't you?"

"Until your death, Frieren never came to understand all the feelings you held for her."

"Don't you want to change that? In this world of gods, to rewrite all the injustices you've endured?"

Altair gazed calmly at Himmel.

But Himmel only smiled at her question.

"If you're talking about… the story of Frieren's journey, all those years after I died—I've already seen it all."

Himmel smiled as he spoke his genuine thoughts after watching the tale Kairo Retsu had shown him.

"And I'm happy."

He smiled again. "It's just that… she didn't understand my feelings before I died."

"But during her journey, she began to understand—and that's enough." Himmel smiled gently. "She's like a vast valley… her long life gives her too much emptiness…"

"But what of it?" he said. "In that valley, blue flowers will eventually bloom. Over time, more and more will grow, until the entire place becomes a field of blossoms."

"Frieren just needs to be like that." Himmel continued, "The meaning of life only reveals itself at its end. What Frieren must do… is begin her journey again."

"The hero who defeated the Demon King, indeed…" Altair shook her head at Himmel.

Someone with such a firm will—she had never expected to persuade him. "But do you believe all your companions think the same as you?"

Altair glanced at Naofumi Iwatani, who was still glaring at her from the ground.

And then at the building where Tanjiro was hiding, waiting for his moment to strike.

"Not every story ends happily. Not everyone can accept the torment woven into them by their Creators," Altair said. "That is the crime of the gods in this world… the cruelty of creation itself."

"Now then…" Altair continued—but a rock suddenly whizzed up from the ground, grazing her forehead and cutting her off mid-sentence.

Looking down, she saw Kairo Retsu clad in fierce, jagged armor, holding a launcher aimed straight at her.

"What I'm really curious about…" Kairo stared up at her, voice full of suspicion, "is why Gore Magala is helping you."

He couldn't let go of that question.

Gore Magala—classified as a Flying Wyvern.

A monster highly likely to evolve into an Elder Dragon—a walking natural disaster.

If the Shagaru Magala he once knew represented the rational cycle of rebirth between it and the hunters…

Then Gore Magala, forever tormented by Frenzy Virus as it attempted to molt into Shagaru, stood for the opposite—irrationality.

At least, it should have.

Yet this Gore Magala… had responded immediately the moment Altair was attacked, precisely identifying Himmel's location—and counterattacked him directly.

It was as if it were protecting Altair.

"Hunter, I ask you this."

Altair met his gaze. "Why do you hunt it?"

Kairo paused, then answered without hesitation.

"To sever the root of calamity."
