"Bro, the employees in your new company are pretty bold," Knox remarked with a smirk, sipping his drink beside Gilbert. From their balcony spot, they could hear the loud voices of the Debonair staff downstairs.
Gilbert's eyes followed a familiar figure as Cherry stood up. Knox caught his gaze and arched a brow.
"Wait, isn't that the waitress from the club the other night?" Knox leaned forward.
Gilbert said nothing, still watching her.
Knox gave a low whistle. "Don't tell me you've got your eye on her?"
"She's an intern at Debonair," Gilbert replied flatly, swirling his glass.
Knox let out a chuckle. "Damn, so she really works for you?"
Downstairs, Cherry clutched her phone, nerves tightening her chest as she followed the dare. She crouched slightly, heading toward the balcony. The moment her eyes met Gilbert's, those sharp, unreadable eyes, her steps froze.
Why is he here? The question hit her fast, stirring the panic rising inside her.
