Fiere Lucent sat comfortably across from Arisu Kasai, wearing a flirtatious smile as she said, "While that was fun and all, how about we get down to business?"
"Fine by me. Do you have the product?" Arisu Kasai replied.
"Naturally," Fiere replied as she indicated the small box that still lay on the table.
"It was here the entire time?" Arisu asked with a frown.
"Come now, dear Arisu, don't make that face. I know you enjoyed our time together in the pool just as much as I did," Fiere replied with a flirtatious wink.
"Perhaps, but I'm someone who prefers business before pleasure," Arisu replied.
"And that's why you should visit me more often, so that we can change that about you," Fiere replied.
"Not to get more credits out of me?" Arisu asked with a smirk.
"Well, that too," Fiere replied while shrugging.
"Can I inspect the goods?" Arisu asked.
"Naturally, just make sure to be careful," Fiere replied. "I have no plans of dying just yet."
"Of course," Arisu replied as he carefully slid the small box towards him and opened it.
Inside, he found the vial of Yliaster DX Six, which he picked up extremely carefully before closely examining it.
"Are you sure I can't persuade you to tell me what you plan to do with that?" Fiere asked as she moved her legs, allowing Arisu to glimpse what was beneath her dress for the briefest of moments.
Fiere smirked as she saw his eyes wander down there, but soon pouted as Arisu said, "No."
"Boo, but I have acquaintances that might be interested in assisting you," Fiere stated while still pouting.
"I'm sure you do," Arisu replied while carefully placing the vial back in the box and closing the lid.
"Satisfied?" Fiere asked with a wink.
"Not entirely; it's a shame that scanners don't work on Yliaster DX Six," Arisu replied.
"Arisu, you doubt me?" Fiere asked in a hurt voice.
"You're a weapons dealer who uses her body to get what she wants; yes, I doubt you," Arisu replied.
"While your words wound me, you're just going to have to trust me on this occasion," Fiere replied before taking a sip of her drink, after which she added.
"After all, one of the components for Yliaster DX Six is rather sensitive."
"I'm well aware, but don't think we won't seek retribution should the product turn out to be defective," Arisu said with a scowl.
"I'm sure you will," Fiere replied dismissively as if she were not the least bit concerned about his threat.
"Now, about my payment?" She asked before taking another sip of her drink.
Arisu scoffed before taking a credit chip out of his pocket and tossing it onto the table between them.
Fiere put down her glass before picking up the credit chip and slotting it into the console, which also sat on the table.
A holographic screen appeared above the console, and after seeing what was displayed, Fiere removed the credit chip while saying, "I believe that concludes our business."
"Indeed," Arisu said before draining his own glass, after which he stood up and departed.
"Not even a goodbye," Fiere said while shaking her head after the door had closed.
"Well, that was disappointingly uninformative," Adam remarked while closing the holographic screen above his uniband.
[OfficialKasumi (Aqua Primus): I can't deny that I was hoping for more.]
[LadyErkath (Aqua Primus): It seems Senator Kasai doesn't fully trust her.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Well, she is a terrorist.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): True, but I don't think Senator Kasai knows that; I think he believes her to merely be a weapons dealer.]

"What were you hoping for?" Eytelis asked before popping another data device in her mouth.
Adam was about to reply when Spector suddenly spoke up.
[[Virus detected within the Flamyre mainframe.]]
"Come again?" Adam asked.
[[A new virus just originated from the credit chip Fiere Lucent just accessed.]]
"Really?" Adam asked in surprise. "Any idea what it does?"
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): Seems the Yliaster DX Six wasn't the only reason Senator Kasai came here.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Or perhaps the Yliaster DX Six was just an excuse to plant the virus.]
[MercheadAnderson (Palaxia): If that was the case, he could have purchased any number of things more readily available than Yliaster DX Six.]

"You can't tell where?" Adam asked.

"Where what?" Eytelis asked in confusion.
"Oh, sorry," Adam apologised. "It seems Senator Kasai planted a communication monitoring virus on the credit chip he gave Fiere."
"Oh," Eytelis replied with a clear lack of interest before pointing at the portable subspace relay and asking, "What do you plan to do with that?"
"Honestly, I planned to just destroy it. Why?" Adam replied.
"Why not cause some tension between the secret organisation and the Kasai family?" Eytelis suggested with a smile.
[OfficialKasumi (Aqua Primus): Oh?]
"What did you have in mind?" Adam asked.
"If we can get hold of that credit chip, we can implant the virus into the portable subspace relay.
It won't really give them any information about the secret organisation since it's just a relay, but if the organisation detects the virus and investigates it, guess who it will lead back to."
"The Kasai family," Adam answered thoughtfully before asking, "But how can we be certain it leads back to them?"

"Kasumi?" Adam asked. "This involves your race and family, so the decision is yours."

[Whitehorn (Darah 5): Yeah, I was expecting more hesitation.]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Oh, this is going to be interesting.]
"Proceed, Spector," Adam ordered.
[[Affirmative.]]
[[Connect one of the empty data drives to your unibands cable.]]
Adam nodded before reaching for a new data drive that was still in its packaging.
After ripping off the packaging, Adam brought the data drive up next to his uniband, from which a cable formed.
"Great Tree!" Eytelis asked in shock as she saw the cable grow out of his uniband.
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): What on Solarian Prime was that?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Right, you haven't seen the streamers' uniband do that yet.]
[LadyErkath (Aqua Primus): To be fair, it's been a while since any of us have seen that.]
As the chat was discussing how his uniband could suddenly form a cable, Adam connected the cable to the data drive.
[[Initiating transfer.]]
[[Transfer complete.]]
After hearing Spector's confirmation, he unplugged the data drive, causing the cable to disappear back into his uniband, before he walked over and plugged it into the portable subspace relay.
"Are you finished?" Adam asked, turning around to see Eytelis staring at him.
"Err, yeah," Eytelis replied.
"Great, let's go see Fiere," Adam said as he made his way out of the hidden room.
"Hey, wait," Eytelis called out as she quickly followed him. "Care to explain what that was all about?"
"I installed the same virus Senator Kasai planted in the portable subspace relay," Adam replied.
"Not that," Eytelis replied before pointing at Adam's uniband and saying, "That."
"Oh, it's nanotechnology," Adam replied.
"That makes sense, though I've never heard of a uniband which incorporates nanotechnology," Eytelis replied.
Adam nodded before asking in a serious tone, "I'm assuming from your earlier comments that you want to get your revenge on Fiere?"
Eytelis's eyes narrowed before she nodded and said, "Yeah. I need to return everything she and her compatriots put me through; after all, I promised her I would."
"I saw," Adam replied.
"You did?" Eytelis asked in surprise.
"Yeah, I saw the end of the last session you had to endure," Adam replied. "I have no problem with you doing that; just try not to kill her before I can get some answers out of her."
"Oh, don't worry about that; I plan to drag it out as long as I can," Eytelis said with a cold smile.
