When Tamar's mom also found out that the daughter from ages ago was Havila, she was shocked, and the same thing happened to her daughter because Havila is now married to his would-be son-in-law. Too bad their scheme didn't work out this time. At least her daughter had a man who loved her too, so she vowed to take the secrets to her grave. She never once thought that she would one day bump into that man once again at the airport. Her heart beat wildly, but it wasn't that of excitement but of fear.
She boarded the plane and flew out of the country to lay low for a few days, as she knew he was not someone who would take more than a few days in one place due to his position. She would come back after two weeks, and hopefully by then, he would have left. The question is, will the truth be covered forever?
Mr Lorenti reached the Delus corporation at noon. The assistant who coincidentally happened to be Havila that day received him, and something strange happened to her; her heart stopped for a bit when they held eye contact. The same thing happened to Mr Lorenti as well when he saw the mini version of his only love. He wanted to rush over and hug her in his embrace, but it took all his strength to stop himself as he was afraid of scaring her.
He still could not control himself and went for a hug, but Havila dodged him, and he came back to his senses. He said, "Sorry, you look like someone I know, so don't take offense." Havila smiled kindly at him and said, "What a coincidence, you also look like someone I know. You are Mr Lorenti, right? Please come in, my boss is already waiting for you inside the meeting room," She walked in front, and he followed behind. All those who saw them had one thing in mind: 'father and daughter'.
When Kevelsky, who was busy reading a file, heard the door opening, he looked up but was dumbfounded when he saw two pairs of similar-looking eyes staring at him with the same nose and mouth as well. One could easily mistake one for the other. The always aloof and calm CEO was gaping at them without talking. Havila noticed his abnormal behavior and coughed slightly. He came back to his senses and stood up, his eyes darting from her face to his calmly.
He extended his hand and greeted, "Welcome to the Delus corps, Mr Lorenti, do feel free and have a seat." Mr Lorenti greeted him back and said, " The pleasure is all mine." Keveelsky was once again entranced with the smile because that was the same smile a certain someone gave him every day. He found it difficult to keep his cool, so he took a seat and gulped a mouthful of water. Mr Lorenti's eyes never once moved away from Havila, sensing this, Kevelsky looked at Havila and noticed that she was also looking at the man without blinking.
He ordered Havila to go to the pantry to make them a pot of rosemary tea, which he knew took time to brew. That will give them enough time to communicate with the man. Havila left reluctantly; she really wanted to stay close to the man. It was as if there was a magnet pulling her closer to him. She obliged and went out deep in thought, wondering why she was feeling this way. She obviously noticed his similarity to her, but he was way too similar to Stanly. Wait a minute! What was Stanly's other name? 'Lorenti Junior'
BOOM! It was as if everything vanished, and she was left all alone in a vast sea. She hurried and reached the pantry and closed the door. Then she slid down the wall as she was finding it difficult to breathe, and she gasped for air. Her mind wasn't functioning well. She remembered when they usually had their virtual Zoom meeting, everybody would say that they resembled each other and started calling them siblings, even Stanly changed his way of addressing her and would call her 'sis'
She usually went with the flow and would call him 'bro' as well. Who knew that there was truth in it? Could it be what she was thinking? That man back at the office was her father, and Stanly was her brother, but how could it be? They were the same age unless they were twins. But her uncle never told her anything about having a brother, unless he too was unaware. He didn't seem like someone who could scheme to that level. Things were getting more complicated. She slouched down and burrowed her head between her knees and trembled. She even forgot about the tea.
She quickly regained her senses and tapped her Apple Watch. She typed several codes and searched the Lorenti family and saw everything. The man was not married but had one son; he also never associated himself with any woman, but where did the child come from? She continued the search and even encrypted Mr Lorenti's personal files, and was shocked when he saw her picture. Wait, it is not her picture but someone who looks just like her, apart from the eyes, nose, and mouth, which constituted five percent; the remaining ninety-five percent was her.
She dropped the watch on the ground after the enlightenment. It was a good thing it was unbreakable. She buried her head on her knees for five good minutes then she picked up the watch again. She stared at the picture, saved it and got out of the page before she was noticed and blocked. She then put her head over her arm and stayed that way for long. She was thinking and all kinds of emotions came to her, anger, frustration, sadness and even happiness. She didn't know what to do but she knew that worry was a wasted emotion. She decided too lay low and watch the other party's move.
She was not the kind to stay muddleheaded for long so she resumed her job of brewing rosemary tea. She will deal with everything when it was time so she waited for her tea to simmer..
