"Why so harsh on me?" Ray whined. "Gasp—don't tell me… are you turning into Aamon?"
"You should really keep those thoughts to yourself."
Ting.

"…What?"
"Transmigration has already started? This soon?"
"Yeah," Ray replied casually. "Didn't the main character meet Aiden in the garden right after transmigration?"
"…Hm."
I stared at the system tab for a few seconds longer.
"…Whatever."
I dismissed it.
"Roy?" Aamon's voice pulled me back.
"Hm? Yes, Brother?"
"Don't go."
He pulled me back onto the bed.
"Sleep."
Ray giggled.
"…Shut up, Ray. Help me instead."
"Hm, I don't know what to do," Ray shrugged. "Just embrace your fate."
"Ray… are you mocking me?"
"Probably not. Just sleep. Didn't you sleep with him before?"
"…Ugh. Fine."
"Good night, Brother," I said.
"Good night."
Next Day
I woke up to the sensation of being carried.
"…Brother?"
"Awake?" he asked.
"Yes… can you… put me down?"
He was carrying me—
in a bridal hold.
"Why?" he asked plainly.
"…Because I'm awake?"
"No."
He tightened his hold slightly.
"Stay quiet. And stop nagging. Don't make me use magic again."
"…You really never listen, do you?"
"Shut up."
Aamon carried me into the large dining room.
Father and Mother were already seated.
Aiden wasn't there.
He placed me onto a chair.
"Thanks," I said.
He ignored me.
"Roy, are you feeling alright?" Mother asked softly. "You don't look well."
Father examined me carefully.
"…Internal Mana Interference."
His gaze shifted sharply toward Aamon.
"Didn't I tell you not to use magic for trivial matters?"
"…Sorry, Father."
"Father," I spoke, trying to ease the tension, "where is Aiden?"
Sigh.
"He went to look around. We'll be heading to the capital soon. Tomorrow is the Prince's birthday—we must arrive today."
"Okay, Father," I nodded.
Aiden entered the room.
"Brother, good morning," he greeted me brightly.
"Good morning."
"Aiden," Father called, "eat quickly or we'll be late."
"Okay!"
We all sat down and began eating together—
before departing for the Royal Capital.
