"No need to wait for the weekend, come back tomorrow night!" Violet Zimmerman's voice came through the receiver, carrying an unquestionable command. Evander Lancaster thought for a moment. "Fine, I'll come back after work tomorrow."
In Evander Lancaster's cold phoenix eyes there was a do-or-die resolve. Since he had already decided to lay everything on the table, sooner or later made no difference. Before ending the call, he said with a half-smile, "You'd better ask Second Uncle to be there tomorrow. After all, he's one of the parties involved."
Putting down the phone, Violet Zimmerman instinctively looked at Joseph Lancaster beside her. "Joseph, Evander… seems to know…"
Joseph Lancaster's legs were elegantly crossed as he peeled an orange. A man whose career and family were both going smoothly always looked as if everything was going his way.
