Author's Note (Not a Chapter):
By now, you've probably got a feel for what this story is about, so I want to give a quick heads-up.
This is an SCP-themed novel, which means there will be disturbing elements—think horror-like scenes, unsettling situations, and moments filled with despair. If that's not your thing, it might be better to stop here.
That said, don't worry too much—the protagonist isn't the one getting wrecked… he's usually the one doing the wrecking
Also, if you have any SCPs you'd like to see appear in the story, feel free to suggest them in the comments. I'd love to hear your ideas!
Oh, one more thing—this might be a bit of spoiler, so don't read it if you don't want to get spoiler

I don't plan on having Ren join the chat group.
There are already plenty of SCPs that can let him travel between worlds, so the chat group mainly exists for commentary and to establish which timeline or world each member is in—especially since Ren might eventually visit those worlds himself.
But here's the thing—by the time Ren gets there, everything may already be off-script.
And that's not because of Ren.
It's because of the chat group.
Since members can help each other across worlds, their actions naturally create a butterfly effect, changing key events before Ren even arrives. Imagine a character struggling through a major turning point in their story… only for another member to suddenly show up and solve everything instantly. At that point, the original plot is already broken.
And honestly… that's a lot more fun than just following the script, right?
This is also meant to be a kind of wake-up call for the protagonist—not to rely too much on "canon," because to the people in those worlds, everything is real. It's not just a story.
That said, what do you think?
Should I let Ren join the chat group… or keep him separate?
