Earlier that morning, Loona had a quick, pathetic tumble with her husband. It was over before it started—a hollow performance that barely scratched the surface of her aching needs before he jumped out of bed, claiming he'd be late for work as he dashed for the shower.

As she led Asher into her house, she couldn't help but notice he wasn't really as bad as her husband said he was. In fact, he was devastatingly hot. He had the thick, powerful arms of a man who actually worked for a living, his muscles straining against the short sleeves of his shirt. He was broad-chested, gorgeous, and radiating a raw, masculine heat that made her pulse skip.
