Chapter 330 - ASCC-Chapter 330 Gradual Victory and Defeat

"Aiya, no one wants to fight me?"

As the chaotic battle erupted, everyone found their respective opponents.

Shinomiya Amane, however, was left behind.

He scanned his surroundings, utterly unconcerned about being caught in the crossfire despite being at the heart of the conflict. He merely lamented that no one had come to challenge him.

Suddenly, a fierce gust of wind swept across his face, ruffling his hair without so much as scratching him.

"Oya?"

A realization dawned on him.

It was the aftermath of Kurogane Ouma and Stella's clash, the wind still carrying residual heat.

Yet Shinomiya Amane didn't dismiss it as a mere coincidence.

His gaze swept across the battlefield, and near the corner of the nearby school building, he spotted a wealthy young lady in a white dress.

"Isn't that Big Sister who ran away earlier? Are you here to be my opponent?"

An expression of smug satisfaction spread across Shinomiya Amane's face as he grinned and called out.

"Blown away?"

Totokubara Kanata's delicate brows furrowed slightly.

She had arrived here before the battle even began, hidden in the shadows, undetected by anyone.

As soon as the chaotic battle erupted, she immediately shattered her Spiritual Item (Device), manipulating the fragments to spread across the arena, aiming to eliminate one or two enemies.

But suddenly, a fierce gust of wind swept through, scattering all the fragments of her Spiritual Item (Device) and preventing them from approaching her targets.

Was it just a coincidence?

Totokubara Kanata resorted to her previous tactic, manipulating another wave of fragments to surge forward.

But the very next moment, another violent gust of wind surged forth, scattering the fragments targeting Shinomiya Amane once again.

'As expected!'

'This guy is up to something!'

'Oreki Yuri-sensei's sudden flare-up of symptoms must have been his doing too!'

Shinomiya Amane strolled toward Totokubara Kanata, his footsteps leisurely and unhurried, moving at a pace neither fast nor slow, as relaxed as a casual stroll through the countryside.

"At this distance..."

Her opponent seemed to completely underestimate her, even nonchalantly stepping into her attack range.

Totokubara Kanata's eyes flashed coldly as starlight gathered in her hand, coalescing into a three-meter-long rapier as thin as a cicada's wing. She unleashed it toward Shinomiya Amane!

'Noble Art: Diamond Storm.'

Upon contact with her opponent, the rapier would shatter into countless fragments, each spinning at blinding speed and capable of pulverizing everything within a several-meter radius!

But...

Bang!

Before the starlight rapier could reach its target, it suddenly shattered mid-flight.

"What?!"

Totokubara Kanata stared in stunned disbelief.

She was still approximately ten meters away from her opponent. Why had the rapier exploded as if it had gone out of control?

"Big Sister, did you know that when Blazers control their special abilities, there's a concept called precision?"

Because the distance was insufficient, Shinomiya Amane remained completely unharmed.

He continued to approach Totokubara Kanata at a measured pace, a warm, spring-like smile playing on his lips.

"If a special ability is too powerful, it can easily backfire if not properly controlled. That's why Blazers must rigorously train their control. A moment's carelessness could lead to a backlash, like being burned by one's own flames..."

"Are you implying I can't control my special ability?" Totokubara Kanata asked coldly.

"It seems Big Sister is quite confident in her control. If that's the case, why did your attack explode halfway through?" Shinomiya Amane grinned brightly.

Totokubara Kanata fell silent, at a loss for words.

"What did you do?"

"Haha, I didn't do anything at all!" Shinomiya Amane replied, his expression inscrutable.

"It's just that my luck is exceptionally good, which means Big Sister's luck has become exceptionally bad!"

Utterly incomprehensible.

Luck suppression?

Could it really be something so simple?

If his ability were truly that basic, Misogi Utakata's ability would be absolutely impossible to counter. Probability manipulation is far more powerful than mere luck suppression, isn't it?

...

Stopping Kurogane Shizuku's train of thought, Ryoji surveyed his surroundings.

After Tatara Yui intercepted him, Toudou Touka had taken over dealing with Sara.

Under Senior Sister Touka's relentless assault, Sara had no chance to create another Blazer.

Having fought Stella to a standstill for over twenty minutes, Senior Sister Touka's stamina was beyond question. With her keeping Sara occupied, the latter wouldn't be able to cause any trouble for now.

BOOM!

A sudden, earth-shattering roar echoed through the arena.

Vast magical power coalesced into a colossal Blazing Giant Sword, surging skyward before plunging down upon Kurogane Ouma.

"...Katharterio Salamandra!"

Stella roared, unleashing her trump card, a guaranteed-kill technique.

The fifty-meter-long Blazing Giant Sword plummeted from the heavens, transforming into pure light and heat that threatened to melt the very earth into molten lava.

The surrounding crowd scattered instinctively, fleeing from the scorching aftershock.

Stella's overall strength wasn't particularly high, at least not among this group of monsters.

But she had absolute confidence in her power alone!

Because she possessed the world's strongest Magic Power!

For Blazers who wield nature interference systems, excluding attribute advantages, clashes between them were ultimately contests of Magic Power against Magic Power!

Whichever side possessed greater Magic Power would gain an overwhelming advantage!

Once she unleashed her Certain Kill Technique at full force, even Ryoji, Kurogane Ikki, and Toudou Touka would have to temporarily avoid the blade of her fifty-meter-long Blazing Giant Sword!

Thus, despite her average overall strength, she wielded overwhelming absolute power!

But then...

"...Kusanagi!"

A tempest roared to life.

Under relentless compression, the raging winds coalesced into a razor-sharp Storm Sword.

Kurogane Ouma let out a cold roar, and the Storm Sword, like the claw of a colossal dragon, clashed head-on with the Blazing Giant Sword!

Even compared to the Blazing Giant Sword, the Storm Sword was no less imposing, its length also exceeding fifty meters.

The sheer energy contained within both weapons was enough to cleave a skyscraper in two!

The impact reverberated with a deafening roar, like a missile detonating at point-blank range, instantly leaving everyone dazed and disoriented.

The shockwave erupted into a scorching tempest, tearing across the concrete ground, uprooting entire forests, and leaving nearby buildings teetering on the brink of collapse!

It was as if a natural disaster had struck, as if the world itself was facing its end. No one could dare approach the epicenter.

The sheer power of their clash left everyone present stunned and speechless.

Yet, at the heart of the battlefield…

"Impossible!"

Stella's eyes widened in disbelief, her face contorted with shock.

"I'm actually... being overwhelmed?!"

Indeed.

The storm was crushing the flames, relentlessly seizing every inch of the Blazing Giant Sword's existence.

With a final, anguished wail, the Blazing Giant Sword shattered piece by piece, erupting into scattered fireballs.

Simultaneously, the Storm Sword surged forward like a raging typhoon, bearing down on Stella head-on!
