What Ethan held in his hand was Theresa's origin, a concept formed by her Main God position, the various rules she controlled, and her own concept of life.
In other words, Theresa's life was in Ethan's hands. And Ethan was not the type to waste time with words in this kind of situation. After successfully landing the strike, he immediately crushed what he was holding.
Crack.
A sound like the shattering of a world rang out. As Ethan crushed the origin, Theresa's body seemed to turn into a glass sculpture. It first developed large cracks, then slowly broke into fragments, and finally dissolved into dust that drifted away with the breeze.
"You!"
Abraham hadn't expected Ethan to act so decisively and without hesitation.
More importantly, he realized something crucial. Ethan was not the same kind of being as they were.
The reason Ethan was able to cross the spatial rift he had created was because he had left "this world" and then re-entered it, choosing to descend behind Theresa.
This wasn't just leaving this mission world. It was leaving the entire universe.
As an old and powerful Main God, Abraham naturally understood the multi-layered structure of reality. He knew that the universe where Main Gods resided was not the only one.
"You will pay the price for this!"
"I know."
Ethan suddenly revealed a smile that made Abraham feel uneasy and suspicious. He realized that Ethan's attack hadn't ended.
Just as Ethan had said before, his approach toward enemies was one of never-ending hostility. From Ethan's perspective, Theresa was not his only enemy.
Killing Theresa was just the beginning. He had no intention of letting Douglas go either.
One could even say that Abraham himself was also on the kill list.
"Arrogant."
As a veteran Main God, Abraham's strength was not something that "youngsters" like Douglas and Theresa could compare to. His power surpassed their imagination.
"You think that just because you're an otherworldly god who can travel freely between multiverses, you can do whatever you please?"
"It's clearly you who are doing whatever you please."
Abraham hadn't expected Ethan to talk back. He hadn't encountered this kind of situation in who knew how many years, and a surge of long-dormant rage rose in his heart. He silently vowed to make this arrogant otherworldly god understand just how grave a mistake he had made.
However, he didn't act immediately. He first sealed off the universe to prevent Ethan from escaping. Only then did he prepare to teach this guy a lesson.
He didn't plan to kill him right away. For him, a living god from another system, another world, held more value than a dead one.
Of course, this was not a good thing for Ethan. As a veteran Main God, Abraham knew countless things and had plenty of ways to make someone wish for death.
It was those two or three seconds of delay that allowed Ethan to strike first.
Abraham hadn't expected Ethan to choose such an extreme method.
"You're insane!"
Ethan didn't answer, just continued to smile in a way that made Abraham feel genuine horror. The next moment, Ethan's entire being turned into a ball of light, a dazzling radiance that seemed capable of devouring everything. It abruptly contracted, then rapidly expanded outward.
Abraham didn't hesitate. He withstood the bizarre and complex power fluctuations emitted by the rainbow light and rushed to his son's side.
At this moment, Douglas had already lost the ability to move due to the energy shockwaves and would have perished in the blast if Abraham hadn't intervened.
Even Abraham himself had been injured. After all, when a god chooses to self-detonate and take their enemy with them, the resulting power is terrifying.
What was even more terrifying was that Ethan had compressed that power to the extreme. A Main God self-destructing and taking their Main God universe and all subordinate universes with them was already the base outcome.
If another Main God's world overlapped even slightly with the self-destructing god's world, it could also be reduced to nothing. At best, it would suffer heavy damage.
Ethan had compressed all that power into a single mission world, which significantly reduced the spread of destruction. But this did not mean the power was weak.
On the contrary, it was horrifying. This highly compressed blast posed a genuine threat to Abraham. The fact that even he didn't dare approach the expanding ball of light was enough proof.
After rescuing his son, Abraham immediately took him out of the world. With a casual move, he severed this mission world from all its connecting universes and cast it into the void.
Only after completing this did Abraham slightly relax.
Douglas, who had just been rescued, was in a very weak state. It took great effort for him to speak a single sentence.
"Is... that... guy... dead?"
Abraham glanced at his son. His expression turned grim again.
Douglas's current state was extremely bad. Just from being hit by the energy shockwave, his Main God origin had been severely damaged, and nearly all the rules he once commanded had been destroyed. Even if he wasn't dead, he had fallen from the rank of Main God.
This meant Douglas was no longer a Main God. Worse, all the rules he once mastered had been wiped out. To become a Main God again, he would need to start from zero—and it would be harder than the first time.
Given Douglas's current state, it wasn't surprising. Even Abraham himself had been injured. Many of the laws within his body had developed cracks and needed time to recover.
"For him to use such a method..."
Abraham's expression became strange. He had fully expected someone who used such an extreme method to die along with their target. But then he started to reconsider. What kind of lunatic would self-detonate without warning? The situation wasn't even that desperate.
Although Abraham was confident that his own strength was enough to defeat the otherworldly god, did Ethan know that? Would someone really self-destruct without even trying to resist first?
Normally, they would at least fight before choosing to go out in mutual destruction, right?
Or did Ethan sense the power gap early and choose to strike while he was still at full strength to ensure he could drag someone down with him?
Carefully recalling every detail of the earlier battle, especially the strange energy fluctuations, Abraham analyzed the situation. Finally, he noticed something was off.
"Hmph. So that's how it is."
After realizing what Ethan had done, the first thing Abraham did was seal off Drake's entire universe, including his Main God space and all subordinate worlds, ensuring there was no escape route.
Couldn't find him now? Abraham wasn't worried. As long as Ethan was still within the universe, he would be found eventually.
To a Main God with an eternal lifespan, time was meaningless. He didn't mind dragging things out.
Abraham brought Douglas back to Drake's Main God world. Now that Douglas was no longer a Main God, his Main God world had begun to collapse. All Abraham could do was freeze the world at the moment before its collapse. As long as his son regained his former strength, the world could be restored.
Ethan wasn't idle at this moment either. After sensing the difference in power between himself and Abraham, he had already begun thinking of a retreat plan.
Give up on killing Theresa? That was an option. But it didn't sit well with him, so he recklessly chose to kill her immediately.
This meant he was destined to become Abraham's mortal enemy.
Of course, thinking about it from another angle, his clash with Theresa and Douglas had already happened. Based on Abraham's personality, even if he stopped now, they would only fight again in the future, especially with a troublemaker like Drake involved.
Since it was inevitable, better to act decisively.
The real problem was the disparity in strength. Abraham truly lived up to his reputation as a veteran Main God feared by many others. His power was overwhelming. Ethan had concluded that there was no chance of winning in a direct confrontation.
So, when he struck and killed Theresa, he had already planned what would come next—hit and run.
Using the rules he had mastered, Ethan compressed all his energy into the core of his spiritual essence, then expanded his spiritual universe and released it in one go.
Frankly, this method was no different from self-detonation. Ethan had unleashed almost all of his power. After the explosion, even his divine body was severely damaged, and he didn't have enough strength left to immediately perform a planar jump and escape this world.
To avoid being tracked, he condensed his remaining energy and broken divine body, using his spiritual power as the core, into a spherical energy form. Then, he hid himself among the countless energy currents.
"The whole universe has been sealed?"
Hidden in the flow of energy, Ethan attempted to leave after regaining a little strength, only to find the universe had already been locked down.
"The entire world is sealed?"
Ethan wasn't worried. He was confident that once he returned to peak condition, he could break through the seal.
"First, find a place to recover... does this count as being injured?"
