Inside the crater lies Hidan or seems to be what's left of him anyway. His upper body got completely disintegrated as his legs are the only part of him that's left. Shukaku saw his handiwork and let out a laugh.
"Heh, I honestly expected more from you. Guess your so called immortality is nothing but a fake."
"I might agree on you to that too, Shukaku."
Shukaku turn his head and saw Kakashi standing behind him. His mangekyo sharingan gleaming under the night.
"Well, well, well. Kakashi Hatake. It's been awhile, didn't think that you would join Konan's band of idiots."
"Life works in amazing ways, Shukaku."
"It really does."
Shukaku suddenly reappeared at Kakashi's back. He raised his arms and delivered a nasty backhand but the attack just passed through the copy ninja. Seeing this, Shukaku stepped back a few distance from him.
"That ability. It's the same as that man."
Kakashi turn around facing Shukaku this time. His face still nonchalant despite the earlier attack.
"It is."
"You took his eye."
"..."
Shukaku then let out a laugh.
"I didn't think you had it in you. You replaced your sharingan with that guy? Ha! Guess you weren't that soft after all. Konoha's grave site had finally get to you, Kakashi?"
"Shut up."
Kakashi blured from view and kicked Shukaku right in the stomach. The kick made Shukaku's eyes wide from the pain before being sent to the nearby trees. Kakashi landed near Hidan's legs and noticed that the wound is already healing.
"Well, I'll be damn. You better wrap up soon. I don't know how long I can take Shukaku right now."
Right at the certain distance, Shukaku emerged from the ground. His shout echoes through the surrounding like a roar of a beast.
"Now we're talking! Give me everything you got, Hatake!"
Kakashi briefly dissapeared by kamui. He reappeared behind Shukaku with a kunai in hand.
"Gladly."

Hidan's Point of View
I woke up and saw nothing but darkness. Alright, now this is just getting weird. I turn around and just like before, all I see is darkness.
Huh...
So this must be it. I died. Killed by the one tail. Somehow, that thought fills me with rage. No, no, not yet. This must some kind of genjutsu. I cannot die. Not right now. I still need to spread the word of Jashin. I still have a mission. Death is just unacceptable!
Soon enough, I formed a hand sign and tried to dispel this genjutsu but everything is still the same. I repeated the process again and again but the results are still the same. Slowly, my mind began to wander to thoughts about failure but I still tried to be optimistic.
"Release! Release! Release! RELEASE!"
I shouted. Again and again but nothing...
I finally gave up and stopped my attempt. I looked at the eternal darkness that's before me.
Is this it?...
My mind is in turmoil. The concept of death have never even occurred since I know that Jashin had blessed with the gift of immortality. But now...to think that this is the end...

"Arise my champion."
I suddenly woke up and saw the one tail in his true bijuu form. His gigantic form that easily towered any building from any village. He charged up to what looks like to be another tailed beast bomb to...what the hell is that thing?
The current opponent of the one tail is a giant blue samurai with wings. The more I look at it, the more I realize that it's body looks like it's entirely made up of chakra. I saw it avoid the blast and fired a lightning stream of its own. The one tail is shot right in the chest which in turn was briefly launched in midair. I have no idea what's going but whoever the newcomer is, they are certainly strong.
"Took you long enough, Hidan." A loud voice suddenly came out from the giant samurai.
What the hell? This voice...it can't be...Kakashi?
"Kakashi?"
"Yep, it's me. How's your nap? I thought that you would heal in mere minutes considering your immortality. Guess I was wrong, huh? To think you would fall flat on me like that. Frankly I'm a bit dissapointed."
Okay, this is just passing me off.
"Shut up asshole. How would like being shot right in the face with a tailed beast bomb? You wouldn't even leave a single scrap on the ground unlike me. I survived."
"Congratulations on having your torso removed. Must be a real victory for you, huh?"
This guy...
"Are you two done?"
I turn my head and saw the one tail looking at us with a grin. The ground floor is suddenly being covered in sand. I jumped up and landed in the giant construct's shoulder.
"Kakashi, what happened while I was unconscious?"
Kakashi briefly looked at me before returning his gaze towards the one tail.
"His soldiers are now dead. All of them are neutralized. I briefly engaged on a fight with the bijuu after that while waiting for your recovery. Shukaku went mad when all his men are killed and quickly transformed into his real form. Only three of us are left now. Once we beat Shukaku, it's over."
Shukaku? The hell? So the bijuus have names, huh? Not that it matters anyway. Speaking of which...
"Arise my champion."
What was that?
"Hidan, are you with me so far?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah."
No, I need to focus. I still have an enemy to destroy...the one tail in it's true form would be hard to beat considering it's durability. Not to mention that their bodies are entirely made up of chakra. They cannot tire that easily and can probably last to days in battle unlike us humans. Looking at Kakashi right now, I can tell that he is nearing his limits. We need to finish this guy now or both of us will. But how...
Wait...that could work...
"Kakashi."
"What?"
"I have a plan."
...
"Really?"
"Yeah. But I need you to trust me on this one."
I saw his face visibly deflate. Okay, what? Why the hell are you looking at me like that?
"That better not be stupid, Hidan. Last time I check, you aren't exactly a thinker during your time with Kakuzu."
"And what the hell does that mean, cyclops?!"
"It's exactly what it means."
"Hey! Would just shut up and listen? Do you want to finish this guy or not?"
"....fine. What's the plan?"
