The violin solo movement of the Dark Sonata was given to Pianno by his father.
Although Pianno is now a somewhat famous professional Music Hunter, his father never obtained a Hunter License in his lifetime… he was only an amateur hunter.
Even though his father couldn't get the professional title, his musical accomplishments were very high.
When he was very young, his father once mysteriously took out an old sheet music score and boasted about it in front of him. The underlying meaning was how amazing this score was.
One memorable phrase was: "This is a score even a Double-Star, no, a Triple-Star Music Hunter can't get! But I got it! I got it!"
At that time, his father seemed a bit crazed.
From that time on, Pianno developed a great interest in that score.
However, his father constantly instilled one idea in him: You must not play the music in this score.
Why?
He couldn't understand, he didn't know the reason.
Until a few days before his father's death, Pianno would never forget his father's bloodshot, dull eyes and the sentence he repeated over and over.
"Must not play it, must not play it..."
That was the only last words and instruction his father left before dying.
Pianno followed his father's instruction. Although every note of the score was engraved in his mind, he never played the piece.
Of course, he had been tempted to try many times.
But after obtaining his license and learning Nen, he saw the ominous black Nen emanating from the score.
Whenever he saw that smoke-like black Nen, his father's dying words and those bloodshot eyes would fill his mind.
Finally, one day, he stored the score away, rarely touching it again.
He began to feel this score was something very dangerous. If he kept contact with it, perhaps one day he would become like his father.
But no matter what, this was, after all, a legendary score. As a professional Music Hunter, possessing this score was an astonishing achievement in itself.
However, due to the special nature of the Dark Sonata's solo movement, he couldn't use the piece to gain more fame and achievements.
In fact, he also lacked the courage to explore the secret behind his father's bloodshot eyes.
So, should he part with this score?
Taking a step back, if not for Law today, he would have died long ago.
He hesitated, he wavered.
Seeing Pianno's hesitation, Law was very patient.
Several minutes passed, and Pianno still hadn't made a decision.
Seeing this, Law added, "If you're willing to let me have the solo movement, I will try my best to meet any request you make, whether it's money or something else."
Hearing this, Pianno's expression moved slightly.
Beside him, Zuzhi was secretly surprised.
'What's with that score? It had such value?'
'Moreover, as far as I knew, Law is a Gourmet Hunter. Why go through all the trouble to collect scores?'
Pianno looked at Law, who was full of sincerity, took a deep breath, and instead of responding directly, asked, "You said you obtained the other three scores. Have you... played the pieces in those scores?"
It was a tone seeking a certain answer, carrying a bit of nervousness yet also clear expectation.
"No."
Law shook his head calmly, answering very directly, making it hard to tell he was lying.
Not only had he played them, he even knew the scores' functions. But why would he be so bored as to reveal this information?
"Is that so..."
Pianno didn't know Law was lying, showing a disappointed expression.
Seeing Pianno's reaction, Law remained silent for a moment, then told Melody's story.
However, Law deliberately concealed the benefits Melody gained… a sign of human selfishness but also for Pianno's own good.
Since Pianno was a violin Music Hunter, having a legendary score, he would certainly examine its contents.
And from all signs, Pianno had not played the piece.
Yet Law was absolutely certain that as long as Pianno held onto the score, one day he would inevitably open that demonic door.
By then, there was a high probability he would be enveloped by disaster.
Law narrated Melody's story in the calm tone of an outsider.
After hearing about Melody's tragic experience, Pianno felt as if doused with cold water. He again recalled his father's bloodshot eyes before death and the words deeply engraved in his soul.
He ultimately lacked the courage to explore the secrets hidden in the darkness.
So, he might as well take this opportunity to exchange it for greater benefit.
"I can give you the score," Pianno said without further hesitation.
Law's eyes lit up. "In exchange, what do you want? Don't hold back because I saved you. State the terms you desire."
Pianno's gaze at Law held admiration, then turned thoughtful. Having never considered using the score to exchange for anything, he found it hard to decide for the moment.
'Money, or something else?'
'Judging by his attitude, it seemed he would agree to even excessive demands without hesitation.'
Thinking it over, Pianno felt money was more reliable.
"Fifteen billion!" Pianno finally stated his demand.
"Deal."
Law agreed without even blinking.
Seeing Law's decisiveness, Pianno and Zuzhi immediately felt they had suffered a huge loss.
They couldn't help feeling that even if the amount were doubled, Law would have agreed just as readily.
However, Pianno had no regrets because fifteen billion was enough for him to fulfill his own dreams.
"I don't have the score on me. Give me ten days to retrieve it," Pianno said.
Law wasn't surprised at all. If Pianno had the score on him, the White Smoke Font would have alerted him earlier.
He nodded, handing Pianno a signed business card from the Lawlin Museum. Then he said, "Anytime is fine. Take the score to the 16th floor of the Association Building. Someone will receive you there, and we'll complete the transaction."
Pianno glanced at the card and was slightly startled.
'So he's the owner of the Lawlin Museum. No wonder fifteen billion was nothing to him.'
'Indeed, the price was still too low...'
Shaking his head slightly to dispel that thought, Pianno looked at Law and said, "I'll visit with the score as soon as possible."
"No rush. You can recover from your injuries first," Law said, scanning Pianno's wounds.
Pianno nodded silently.
After that, Law didn't linger further. He and Kuro headed towards Milsy Wetlands.
Pianno and Zuzhi watched as Law and Kuro disappeared from view.
"You struck it rich," Zuzhi said, his tone carrying no envy.
"I guess," Pianno said with mixed feelings.
"With that much money, have you thought about what you'll do with it?"
"Of course. I'm going to build my own concert hall."
…
On the other hand, Law and Kuro moved through the forest.
Barring any surprises, he would soon collect all four solo movements.
Law was quite curious about what would happen when they were played together, but he couldn't play all the movements simultaneously by himself.
To perform them, he would need four people.
Harp, piano, flute, violin...
