CHAPTER 10
A new day has begun, the sun is rising, the birds are singing and the girls prepare for their first day at school.
Kana walks into niko's room and saw that she was sleeping peacefuly,"awww look at her sleeping like an angel" ,she began to snore loud, "so that's where the weird noises were coming from", kana walked out and went to the kitchen to grab two frying pans and got back to niko's room, with tiny steps she got close to her and hit the frying pans repeatedly and yelled. "WAKE UP YOU LAZY BUM IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL!!".
Niko jumped out of her bed screaming then fall down next to the bed face planted on the floor.
"Oh good you're awake….we'll get dressed princess your gonna be late for school." Kana said and while laughing, she then left the room.
"KANAAAAAAAAAAAA!!" ,screamed niko angrily.
As the morning keeps going Hiro walks out of his house and his friends were waiting for him outside, kyle was the first one to greet him.
"Yo bro, you finally made it… we thought you were never gonna show up".
"Well you weren't the only one that took forever getting out of the house". Said jason looking at kyle and cassie."
"What did you expect, cassie took forever putting on her makeup."
"Excuse me….I wasn't the one staring at the mirror the whole morning trying out new hairstyles". Said cassie with her hands on her hips.
"I did no such thing", kyle replied blushing.
"So that's why you're hair looks different today…so tell me who are you trying to impress huh….let me guess it's starts with an l and ends with an i?. Jason said smirking poking his arms.
"That's a Y jason lily ends with a Y". Cassie pointed that out
"Oh…" jason replied feeling stupid.
All of them laughed while kyle kept blushing. Seconds later, a portal opened and kazumi walked out with momo, niko, akari and lily.
"Oh good you're all here how are all of you do…ing?", momo was happy, akari had her uniform fix, niko was still asleep and lily was blushing looking away.
"Well have fun" kazumi said and left.
"Ok then….you guys ready?".
"Yeap" Akari replied.
Niko was still half asleep so she didn't listen well, momo nodded.
"Um yeah i guess…", lily whispered looking away.
"Wow lily you look really cute and you even fix your hair like i said yesterday, she opened her eyes wide, "your gonna make great friends i know it, i mean you have a nice personality, your super nice."
Lily's face got more red.
Akari couldn't resist the opportunity and sneaked behind lily and said, " awwww kyle that's so sweet of you to say those words, she really work hard to make herself look good, she even took an extra hour to fix her hair just like you said Hi hi hi". Lily glared at akari.
Niko started yawning, "can we go now before I change my mind".
Jason walked next to niko petting her head and, he looked at her smiling and said to her, "awww niko you look so adorable with that uniform".
Niko, "💢💢"
"All you need is a ribbon on your head and then you will look completely cute".
"Um….jason I wouldn't do…". Hiro said concerned.
Niko got annoyed and draw her giant mallet, with one swing she hit jason so hard in the face while niko screaming, "DON'T CALL ME CUTE!!".
All of them looked up as they saw jason flying to the sky, seconds later he landed face planted to the ground, the guy's were shock as jason lifted his head coughing dirt, "ok….I won't".
"We better get going we don't want to be late in the first day so lets go". Cassie said while helping jason get up, all of them started to walk through town looking at the buildings and moving cars,"it's very noisy today", said akari. Kyle looked at her and replied, "that's because this is the crowded part of the city, it's where most of the businesses are". Niko looked at the food spots and her stomach growled, "can we stop and get something to eat I'm starving".
"Sorry niko we need to get to school before the bell rings". Cassie said, after walking for 5 minutes they got to school, the girls were amazed on how big the school was, students were walking inside and some just talked near the gates, some students even wave to them.
"Ok everyone let's walk in", Hiro said as they walked through rhe gates except for niko who was looking at the ground holding her backpack.
"I…uh….change my mind I don't want to go.."
"What's wrong niko?", Hiro ask concerned.
Niko looked away feeling nervous and replied, "i just….don't think….what if i do something wrong…what if they make fun of me…maybe kana was right, maybe i am.."
Akari stepped forward and spoke to niko, "don't you dare finish that sentence." Niko looked at her not saying a word. "Niko i know that sometimes you act all childish and you don't have self control when you get mad, but that doesn't make you dum or stupid…you need to stop listening to what other say to you..you're brave and one of the strongest members of this team so man up or cheer up, well tou know what i mean".
Niko hide her eyes with her hair trying to cover her tears.
Hiro also walked next to niko and spoke to her, "akari is right niko you're honna be fine…and besides school isn't that bad, we have lunchtimes in between classes".
Niko's eyes opened wide when Hiro mentioned lunch. "Lunch!? You mean to say that we get to eat in school!?".
"Yeah we even get to bring food from home".
Niko pulled her hair out of anger "AHHHH!!! No one told me i had to bring food…I'm gonna starve to death!!".
"You're so dramatic niko", said lily rolling her eyes.
"Oh that reminds me", kyle pull 4 lunch boxes and gave them to the girls, "i made them for you".
Niko eyes light up when kyle gave him the food, "is this really for me?"
"Well yeah, i always make lunch for me and cassie but know that you're coming along I decided to make one for everyone so I hope you enjoy", kyle said with a smile on his face.
Niko grabbed the lunchbox and smiled at kyle thanking him.
"ok let's get going then" Cassie said as she walked to the entrance.
"I'm ready". Momo said while grabbing Hiro's arms.
Niko pushed everyone into school, "come on we don't want to be late for lunch….i mean school".
The bell rings
"Ok class please take youre sit we are about to begin", said the teacher as everyone set down, "i really hope all of you enjoyed your summer vacation, i know i did". She giggled.
One of her students raised her eyebrow and replied to the teacher, "let me guess you stayed you watching romantic movies".
"Well yeah…i mean not all of the time….i have a life too you know". Responded the teacher feeling embarrassed.
"Sure you do…". Said the student rolling her eyes.
"Moving on then… as you all know every year we welcome new students that come from another school's and this year we got 4 new students that are going to start with us, so please give a warm welcome to our new fellow students…please enter don't be shy", she wave at the girls to come in. Akari, lily, momo and niko entered the classroom looking nervous, "please why don't you introduce yourself".
Akari cleared her throat and spoke, "my name is akari and this are my sisters…lily, niko, and momo, we are aslo..".
"We are also Hiro's sisters", said momo cutting akari off.
Akari,lily and niko turned their faces and looked at momo.
"My goodness I didn't knew that Hiro had sisters, but its nice to have all 4 of you here so please pick a sit wherever you feel most comfortable".
Kazuo one of Hiro's classmates whi was sitting next to him whispered ," say bro you never mentioned to us that you had sisters".
Hiro smiled nervously. And replied, "yeah well, they just went to another school so it's no big deal".
"Well I hope that they don't get into any trouble, you know how girls are when they see other new girls." Said kazuo leaning over his desk.
" oh i'm not worried about that trust me"Hiro answered him smiling.
"What ever you say dude".
45 minutes later
"Ok class that's all the time we have for today's lesson, if you have any questions please feel free to ask", said the teacher while closing the book.
Hiro walked to the girls who were talking, "so, how was class?".
"I kinda like it". Said Akari putting her books away.
"Yeah I thought it was going to be more hard". Lily also replied.
"I saw two birds playing outside the window" Momo said giggling.
"What about you niko how was class".
Niko's face was on her desk and her eyes were spinning, "to many numbers…..my head hurts".
"And that was just first period, we still havo more classes", Hiro said while laughing.
"WHAT!!! THERE'S MORE!!?". Shouted niko in shock.
"Yes, now come on lets go"
After class the bell rang so Hiro and the girls went to lunch.
Kyle gave everyone the boxes of food, "ok everyone dig in", they all started to eat.
Hiro got up and walk to the door, momo ask him where he was going, Hiro just told them that he was gonna get a soda from a machine.
Niko was trying to speak but her mouth was full of food.
"Swallow your food you idiot", lily said.
Niko swallowed, "i said bring me something to drink too".
"Ok I'll be right back" Hiro walk to the bending machine and grab a couple of sodas
Kazuo walked to the bending machine as well and grab some sodas too, "so they managed to make it through their first day of school".
Hiro grabbed the 2 sodas and turned to kazuo, "yeah i thought they wouldn't like…but everyone seems to be enjoying it".
Kazuo grabbed a soda for himself and replied, "that's good".
"I just hope that they can manage this whole school year without any problems…they still got a lot to learn about this new world and deal with all sorts of challenges as well". He whispered to himself".
"What was that?", said kazuo raising his eyebrow.
Hiro opened his eyes wide not knowing that kazuo was listening and tried ti fix it, "oh what i meant to say it's that well…".
"Relax bro i know what you said, transferring to a new school can be difficult and challenging".
"Yeah that's it's Hehehe….anyway, wanna have lunch with us there's an extra sit".
Finishing his soda and throwing it to the trash kazuo said before walking away, "Nah i'm good….but thanks for the offer, see ya later bro".
After talking to kazuo Hiro walked back to the cafeteria and sit back giving niko her soda.
"My god i thought you forgot where the cafeteria was, any minute long and i would have choke on my food". Niko said while snatching the soda and drinking it.
Minutes after another student walked next to akari.
"Ehem…Hello there".
Akari continue eating while having one eye looking at him.
"My name is alex, it's nuce to meet you…sorry for the sudden approach but i meed it to say that you look really beautiful".
Suddenly Akari stopped eating and turned to face alex who had his eyes locked on hers.
"I must say you're hair looks so soft…i bet that when the wind blows it moves like fresh grass like in a valley". Akari let out a soft smile while alex complemented her.
Nikko spits out the soda and burst in laughter, "yeah and in the morning her hair looks like vine stock into a pole HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Akari punched niko in her head giving her a big bump.
" so those this beautiful angel infront of me have a name?".
With a slight blush on her cheeks she whispered, "it's akari….akari Hayabusa".
"That name….delicate like a flower but deadly like a thorn". Alex whispered to akari.
"Oh my god this is so corny i can't take this shit, i'm going back to eating" niko said while grabbing her plate.
On the other side of the table jason soke to Hiro a little worried, "um Hiro.."
"What is it jason".
"Why is chiaki's boyfriend talking to akari?"
"What are you talking….uh oh".
The cafeteria door slammed open as the students suddenly stop talking, 6 girls entered and walked inside like if they owned the place, one of the girl chiaki de most popular girl in school and the head of the student council was infront and noticed that alex was talking to akari, snapping her fingers the girls followed her to where they were.
With arms crossed chiaki spoke, "ehem…alex what are you doing?".
"What do you want chiaki".
"Well i want to know why my boyfriend is talking to this pink hair wannabe".
"EXCUSE ME!!". Said akari annoyed.
"Uh oh". Lily whispered.
Momo cover her mouth with her hands.
Casey look at akari worried.
"This isn't good", said Hiro.
"Finally some action", niko said leaning on her chair.
Akari stud up and walk to chiaki's face and said to her, "what did you just called me?".
"You heard me".
Akari smirked and replied back, "well i guess you're boyfriend got tired of the same old thing and decided to try something new don't you think?", the whole room gasp.
"Do you have any idea who are you talking to princess…".
Akari put one hand on her hip and replied, "I couldn't care less who i talk to, especially someone who thinks that owns this school".
"That's right akari don't let this blonde jackass show you off". Niko shouted.
Kiyomi one of chiaki's friends walk to niko and said to her, "why don't you keep stuffing your mouth with food like you were just doing and shut up".
Niko grasp her fist and shouts, "WHAT DID THIS LONG HAIR BROWN BITCH SAID TO ME".
Hiro and kyle jumped on top of the table trying to hold niko who was about to punch kiyomi.
"I SWEAR I'll SMACK THE SMILE OF HER STUPIDT FACE, LET ME GO!!!". Niko kept shouting while trying to break free.
"It's gonna be a long year….so you better watch your back". Chiaki said in a challenging tone.
"Oh trust me… I'm looking forward". Akari also replied not showing any sign of fear.
Both of them looked at each other with a death stare while Hiro and kyle tried to hold niko who was still strying to break free and punch kiyomi.
