Chapter 12
The morning kana sneak into Niko's room again to wake her up.
"Oh this is gonna be fun…"
Niko was snoring.
Kana cast a cold water spell, shethen guided it to where niko was sleeping, kana droped the cold water at her making her jump out of her bed and landed face planted on the floor,"well well, look who decided to wake up…don't worry, now you don't have to take a shower Hahahaha", she left laughing.
Niko screamed angrily, "KANAAAAAAA!!!!!! I'M GOING TO KILL YOUUUUUUU!!!".
Later that morning in school Hiro was talking to some of his friends when the girls Showed up.
"Hey how are all of you doing?".
"I'm excited to see what are we going to learn today". Momo said smiling.
Lily was leaning against the locker's, "I'm just glad that we could get out of the house".
Akari was fixing her hair in case alex showed up.
Niko sneeze, "hey bro…"
"What's wrong with you." Ask Hiro.
"Kana woke niko up with cold water because she didn't wanted to wake up…like always, and now she has a cold." Momo whispered to him.
" that's not true i was ready to wake up…!!
"…sure you were.."
"I thought you put the alarm for the right hour?"
"I did but…."
"She broke it af ter the first sound" said akari.
"You what!?…niko…."
"It was too loud and it was to early ok!".
"Yeah that's the point… that way you can get up early so that things like this don't happen".
Niko started shivering, I'm fine." sneeze.
"Clearly you don't look good, if the teacher's sees tou like this they're gonna take you to the nurses office." Said Hiro worried.
"So i can skip class!?".
"Well yeah but.."
"The hell with class I'm going straight to the nurses office". Niko shouted and sneezed.
"Well you could go there and lay down for a while…but.."
Niko tilted her head to the side, "but what it can't be that bad".
"The nurse will probably inject you with a needle."
Niko's eyes widen and jumped back, "what!? Why she would do that!?".
"It's the fastest way for the medicine to do its work.".
Akari sneak behind Niko and whisper, "or you could turn into one of those things you saw on TV last night, what's it called….oh a zombie."
Niko got so scared that her whole face turned white.
Lily also sneaked behind her and whispered, "yeah and she probably mutate and grow tentacles or something Hehehe."
Niko looked as if her soul left her body.
Momo stood infront of them and spike to lily and akari, "knock it off you two, look at what you did to her", niko was completely pale and space out, "you should know better than to scare niko like that."
"Oh relax momo we were just messing around that's all." Said akari chuckling.
Cassie, kyle and jason had just arrived and walked to them
"Hey guys, how are all of you", said jason petting Niko's head.
Niko snapped back to her self and punched Jason on his stomach, "I AM NOT A ZOMBIE!!."
jason was sent flying to the wall and fall to the ground, "what i do?"
Akari covered her mouth with her hands in shock.
Hiro smack his forhead with his hand, "you see what you two did."
Niko gaps after accidentally punching jason, "sorry jason i didn't know…"
"It's ok…Hehehe" he replied trying to get up.
"Why is jason on the floor and why niko looks sick?" Ask kyle confused.
Lily closed her eyes and scoff, "well if you must know niko is having a cold and we told her that if she doesn't get better she's gonna ho to the nurses office… also she punched jason on his stomach after we told her that if she gets a shot from the nurse she was gonna turn into a zombie."
"Hmmm i see, well if niko's sick maybe you should all check in with the nurse just in case you didn't get it to."
Lily open one eye, "what do you mean by getting sick to…i feel fine."
Kyle shake his head and walk next to lily, "don't be stubborn lily when Cassie gets sick she always say she's fine and then she gets sick…it always starts by having a fever, here let me check."
Lily open her eyes wide and stook a step back, "wh…what are you doing?"
Kyle put his hand on lily's forhead making sure that she didn't have a fever but the sensation of his hand on her make lily blush even more.
"That's odd, you're face is all red but you don't have s fever…are you sure you're feeling ok lily?"
Lily was so flustered that she couldn't say a word, "i…uh…"
"Oh kyle you always worry about us so much…why don't you also check if her breathing is good…i mean she looks like she's going to pass out." Said akari blinking her eyes rapidly."
"No worries akari i'm here to always help." Kyle replied as he got closer to lily making sure she's breathing ok.
Lily snapped back to herself and punch Kyle in his chest landing on top of Jason who just got up, liky croosed her arms and said, "i don't need anyone to check on nothing i feel perfectly fine." She said but she was still blushing.
Both of them where out cold.
Hiro sighed, "this is going to be a long day."
Later at lunch Hiro was walking to where the girls were but kazuo stop him along the way.
"Hey Hiro how are you bro."
"Oh kazuo didn't see you there what's up."
"Do you mind if we talk for a moment on the roof too of the school, i need to tell you something important."
"Sure let's go"
Both of them walk to the rooftop, the sky was clear and they could see the other students playing in the yard.
Kazuo looks at hiro and spoke with a serious expression, "tell me something Hiro, have you seen the news lately?"
"To be honest I haven't seen the Tv for a while, ever since my sisters moved in all i've done is spend time with them."
"Oh that reminds me, how was their firts day in school i heard that chiaki got mad at one of your sisters."
"Yeah she was mad after alex tried to talk to akari….anyway you siad you wanted to talk to me about something."
Kazuo lean to the wall and close his eyes, there's been reports of some strange things happening in town."
Hiro changed his expression into a more alerted tone as kazuo told him about some strange events that were happening in town.
"I still don't know the whole story, but what Ive heard its that some strange things appeared at night kidnapping people…one even said that he saw them coming from the shadows."
"What!?…creatures appearing from the shadows, that's terrible."
"Some say that it's just a prank that some people are pulling but i don't believe that…that's why the news aren't giving it to much importance…what do you think Hiro?"
"Well whatever it is we nned to stay alert …is that why you called me?"
"Yeap…I thought it would be a good idea to let you know since you brought your sisters to town, and I didn't wanted to make a commotion about it, i didn't want them to be scared and they had to leave…they seem nice."
"Your probably right kazuo…thanks for the heads up."
"No problem bro… we'll see ya later." Kazuo left.
"Could that be cecilia and cessiars doing?"…i have to talk ti iris about this as soon as possible." Hiro walked back inside and saw that niko was feeling worse," why is Niko's face red?"
"What do you think…she's getting worse that's why." Lily responded.
Niko's fever was rising, her eyes were spinning as her sneezing was worse, cassie couldn't take it anymore and grabbed niko by her arms and dragged her to the nurses office,
"No wait I don't wanna get a shot please waaaaaaaa!!!, niko tried to break free but she was to weak.
After school they all got back to the house, Hiro looked for iris who was meditating on her room.
"Sorry for interrupting you iris but do you mind if we could talk outside for a moment?"
"Sure thing Hiro", iris said as both of them walked outside to the garden, they walked for a couple of minutes admiring the flowers and the lake, both of them stopped as Hiro began to speak.
"Tell me something iris…do you think theirs other creatures other than cessiar and cecilia?"
"What do you mean Hiro?"
"There's rumors about strange creatures that only appear at night, some say that people are Desappearing because of them."
"Where did you heard that?"
"It's was on the news a couple of days ago".
"I see….my guess is that since cessiar and cecilia had the other half of the crystal they can also use it's power to summon creatures from the shadow kingdom."
Hiro got near the lake and toss a small rock on the water and spoke to iris, "do you think that the girls are strong enough to face them?"
Iris walked next to him and aslo picked up a rock tossing it to the lake, "everyday i look in the mirror asking the same question you just made….the job of protecting the crystal is really tough especially when there's an enemy that will do anything to get there hands on it, i even worry that something might happen to me or my sisters…but them i remember that our bond with the crystal is much more powerful than anything."
"What about me…i feel like I'm not strong enough to face anything…what if i fail."
Iris felt Hiro's concern, she walked next to Hiro and smiled at him, "you won't… i still remember when the girls brought you here for the first time, seen the chaos blade in your hands, momo telling us how you stood your ground when cessiar and cecilia attacked bouth of you, even the girls were impressed when you helped them defeat the jester, i know the road it's long and rough but i know you will become a great fighter but you need to have faith in yourself… i mean we all do so why don't you."
"You're right iris thanks, i promise to train hard until my bones brake, i made a promise to momo and it was that i would protect her, but know i have a new promise and it's that i will protect all of you with my life like i said to momo."
"Thanks Hiro i know that the crystal made no mistake about choosing you."
Yuki was laying on a tree branch listening to everything they were talking, "wow i guess momo was right about you, you really do care like a brother would."
"Oh yuki you heard what i said?"
Yuki jumped down, "what i was talking a nap and you two were to loud."
"I got it…yuki could you Hiro."
Huh!?…me?, doing what exactly iris?"
"When it comes to skills and sword techniques yuki is the best there is, i know that she'll help you understand better on how to use the chaos blade and help you become a better swordsman, right yuki?"
"Waa wait i never i never agreed on doing anything!." Said yuki frowning.
Hiro got closed to yuki and bow down on respect. Yuki got confused and ask Hiro why he was bowing down to her.
"If i want to be part of this team i need to know the way of the roses, yuki i can't do this by myself…please teach me and i promise to do my best." Replied Hiro.
Yuki blush and crosses her arms, "fine i will…but don't expect me to take you lightly just because you are our brother…i mean the one chosen by the chaos crystal."
"Thank you yuki"
Yuki walk to the house waving, "don't mention it…brother."
Back at the house yui was using her spell to make Niko feel better.
"There, that should do it". Yui said finishing her spell.
"Thanks yui I owe you one…now how do i get back on kana." Niko sat on the floor thinking. "Oh i got it hehehe it's perfect." She got up and ran to the kitchen.
Yui breath out, "i swear those two."
Niko started to make herself something to eat but she added an extra ingredient to the food, she then placed the food on the table and talk in a sarcastic tone, "oh boy this sure is some delicious food kyle made for me, to bad there's only one more plate, oh no i forgot something on my room i hope that NO ONE EATS IT while i go."she hide behind the wall.
Right before she hide behind the wall, someone sat on the table and began to eat, niko was chuckling as she heard the person screaming.
Niko jump from behind the wall and yelled, "Hah, got you kana i put all of the hot and spicy stuff on my plate and now you're gonna pay!! Hahahaha that's called revenge served on a plate."
kana was leaning on the wall drinking a soda, "what are you talking about niko."
Niko looks surprised, "wait…you weren't the one who eat my food?,"kana shake her head, "then who did?"
Lily cover her mouth while tears began to stream out of her eyes.
Niko began to yell at lily, "you idiot!!, that wasn't ment for you, I cooked that food to prank kana!!"
Kana raised her eyebrow and replied to niko, "I thought you said kyle made that."
"No, i said that so that you could fall for it and est the damn food not lily!!"
Lily got so angry that sparks of electricity covered her whole body as she drew her katana out pointing at her, "NIKOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
"Lily calm down it was an accident…it's not my fault." Niko said backing up.
Lily then chase her through the house, niko was screaming and crying at the same time.
"I love a happy ending." Kana said while drinking her soda looking at them.
