Jin" as the character, while preserving the original wording, events, tone, and details as closely as possible:
Jin woke up full of excitement, knowing he was finally going to the academy where his parents had graduated.
His grandfather had told him about his parents' accomplishments at the academy, which made him even more eager. Jin wanted to become like them or even better and achieve more than they ever had.
Though he was naturally introverted, Jin was extremely ambitious.
He had once dreamed of becoming a wealthy farmer or a famous librarian, but his dreams had shifted because of the circumstances he had been through.
During the exhausting eleven weeks of training with Morgan and Elena, Jin learned many things about his grandfather that he never knew before.
Jin didn't realize that he wasn't just an ordinary guy he was a saint, and not only just a saint, he was also one of the strongest among them.
Many saints and commanders trained under his hands, including Morgan.
Despite how strong he was, only very few people knew him. He was a humble saint, staying away from politics and power.
He loved nature and farming because of his wife, which was one of the reasons that made Morgan dislike him.
Morgan had great respect for him, seeing him as an example of strength, yet Jin's grandfather became just a simple farmer.
Morgan was not happy about this, and Jin's grandfather became weaker over time because of his abandonment of his duties as a saint.
The main reason for his weakness was a terrible battle he fought alongside many other saints against the Chaos Creatures.
Among those who fought alongside Jin's grandfather were his daughter which is Jin's mother and her husband which is Jin's father.
They were fighting against a level seven gate and it was the reason that killed both of Jin's parents.
He had witnessed their deaths with his own eyes, crushed beneath the feet of a corrupted giant.
Since that battle, regret had haunted him; he was one of the few people who had survived that incident.
His regret was so deep that the least he could do was raise his grandchild and keep him safe. So that was why he never told Jin about the chaos creatures or his parents' past.
Not long after that battle, his wife also passed away from illness.
The psychological shock he endured in just one year had weakened him severely, leaving him barely able to fight.
This became clear during his battle against the Corrupted Leader, who tore him apart easily, even though he was once a powerful saint.
Normally, saints are strong enough to easily defeat a Corrupted Leader from a level four gate or lower.
But over time, Adrian became weak and started to lose the essence of his soul.
The essence of soul can be described as the energy that lets an Awakened use their abilities more efficiently.
Everyone can get this essence soul either by slaying strong and high-level chaos creatures or by buying essence stones, which can be found inside the gates, but those stones are expensive and very hard to obtain as they are located inside the dangerous zones in the gates.
Only strong and rich families and guilds have access to them.
Since Adrian avoided killing creatures for a very long time, his soul's essence had been so weak.
This is not the only way a person can lose their soul's essence.
There are cases where an awakened individual faces extremely powerful creatures that bring them close to death that's what happened to Elena as she lost most of her soul's essence because she almost died facing a Corrupted Leader.
Some chaos creatures are so terrifying that they cause hundreds of Awakened to lose their soul's essence not just lose it, but have it destroyed forever.
These types of creatures have the ability to attack the mind and manipulate thoughts, which can destroy the soul's essence of any Awakened except for those with strong mental strength or those equipped with gear that resists mental damage.
Even after learning these horrifying truths, Jin never hated his grandfather for hiding them from him.
He promised himself that one day he would take revenge on these creatures.
Jin was standing in the training ground, staring at the sky beside Elena.
With a gentle smile, she asked, "Are you ready, Jin?"
Jin smiled back. "Yeah, I think so."
Elena placed her hand on his head, patting it gently.
"You'll miss me a lot, won't you?"
"I might… just a little,"
Elena took a deep breath as she said,
"Since you answered kindly, I'll give you something precious something you must never lose."
Jin looked at her. "What will you give me?"
Elena took out from her pocket a silver necklace with a falcon design.
"Every time you look at it, you should remember me. Is that clear?"
Then she hugged him and placed the necklace around his neck.
"Okay, I'll cherish it."
In that short time, Elena and Jin had become very close. She was the first person to approach him after his grandfather's death. She was so kind and gentle with him that Jin loved being around her.
For the past few weeks, they had eaten together every day at the restaurant, and Elena had also been training him under Morgan's supervision.
She talked to him a lot about different aspects of life, and shared various stories with him.
Even though it had only been a few weeks, the wonderful memories Jin made were very precious to him.
Elena looked at him kindly and said, "Goodbye, Jin. Take care of yourself."
Jin felt a little sad so he hugged her and said, "Alright, you take care too."
Then Jin left her and went to the main castle to meet Morgan. When he arrived, he saw Sai so he asked him,
"Is Commander Morgan here?"
"Yes, he's waiting for you, so are you ready to leave?" Sai replied.
"Of course."
Sai smiled and said, "Enjoy yourself. The academy is very fun."
"Have you ever been there?"
Sai smiled then said, "Of course, every Awakened went to one of the academies."
"Oh, I see."
Then Sai knocked on Morgan's door, saying, "Sir, Jin is ready to leave."
"Let him in," Morgan called out loudly.
Jin entered and found Saint Park sitting there, with Saint Lamar beside him.
"Hello, young man," Park greeted him with a bright smile. "You look different since we last met."
"Yes, this brat has trained well under my hands," Morgan replied proudly.
Embarrassed by their praise, Jin said, "Thank you."
Morgan smiled. "Saints Park and Lamar will both be coming with you to the academy, so be sure to show them respect."
Jin was a little surprised and then asked, "Why will they go with me? Don't they have more important things to do than accompany me?"
Park laughed and then replied, "Haha, don't worry about that. We also have some business there, so we'll go together."
Jin nodded then he bowed to Morgan, saying, "Thank you, Commander, for everything."
Morgan stood up, placed his hands on Jin's shoulders, and smiled. "You better do your best there or I'll come to beat you."
Jin laughed nervously and looked away.
"Aha haha, well, don't worry about that."
Park smiled at them. "All right, we'll leave now."
They all walked to the main gate to get on the carriage that was waiting for them.
The carriage looked impressive. Jin was just used to seeing people riding single horses, or cheap carriages, but this was the first time he saw such a beautiful carriage pulled by two riders on white horses.
"What a carriage!" Jin whistled in admiration.
"Go with them and good luck on your journey," Morgan patted him on the back.
After saying goodbye to him, Jin entered the carriage where Park and Lamar were sitting.
Jin greeted them then he sat opposite to them, then the carriage started to move.
Jin watched the military base gradually disappear into the distance with mixed feelings.
While Saint Park and Lamar were talking to each other,
Jin asked in curiosity, "Saint Park, Saint Lamar, may I ask if you are married?"
Park laughed heartily, while Lamar looked visibly annoyed. "How rude!"
Park replied, "Ahaha No, no, she is just a teammate."
Jin looked at them both. "Do the saints have teams?"
"Of course they do," Park said.
"There are two others in my team, but they're on other missions right now, and we rarely see them."
"And you're the leader of that group, aren't you?" Jin asked.
"No, I'm not the leader, and I'm really glad I'm not," Park replied.
"How long will it take us to reach Lucaria?" Jin asked, still looking out the carriage window.
"About 23 days," he answered.
That's a lot of days indeed...
