Chapter 15 - The Academy Complexes

Room 642 was large. The first thing Jin noticed when he opened the door was the calm white color that the entire room was designed in.

At the entrance, there was a medium-sized living room. On the right side, there was a small open-design kitchen, and on the left side was the bedroom.

At the end of the living room, there was a large window that had a view of the area around the residential complex. Next to it were two chairs and a small table between them.

There was also a private bathroom next to the bedroom, which made Jin very happy.

"I never imagined I would live in a place that has a private bathroom."

Inside the bedroom, there was a large bed big enough to fit at least two people, a closet, and a small desk with a chair, along with a small lamp that looked like it was for studying.

Jin opened the closet and found the academy uniform inside.

"These are the same clothes I saw at the city entrance!"

He took the uniform out to try it on, but when he wore it, he thought, "How did they know my size?"

Anyway, inside the closet, there was also a gold necklace engraved with a number.

Jin held the necklace carefully, afraid he might break it as the golden necklace looked expensive.

"Number 981… what a long and boring number."

He stood in front of the mirror attached to the closet door and looked at himself.

"Hmm, not bad."

Then Jin took off the uniform, put it back inside the closet along with the golden necklace, and closed it.

He stood there naked, feeling excited. "Alright, time to try my private bathroom!" He rushed to enjoy his personal bath.

"Oh yeah… this feels amazing. Am I already in heaven?" Jin smiled happily as he looked at the ceiling, enjoying the bathtub.

After an hour, he got out of the bathroom and threw himself onto the bed, feeling extremely happy. Soon, he fell asleep, snoring comfortably after that long and tiring journey.

The next morning, Jin woke up to the sound of someone knocking on his door.

He rubbed his eyes and smiled happily. "What a beautiful time to be alive."

Jin got out of bed and opened the door.

"Oh, good morning, Professor Howell."

Professor Howell adjusted his glasses while holding a book in his hand. "Put on your uniform with your numbered necklace and follow me."

Jin went to wash his face, then put on his clothes and attached the necklace to his waistcoat before following him.

"There will be a welcoming ceremony for the new students in two days," Howell said while walking quickly. "It will last for three days, so you need to be prepared and know where it will take place."

Jin didn't know why he was in such a hurry, so he increased his speed to keep up with him.

He looked at the number written on his necklace and asked, "Can you tell me what the number 981 means?"

Howell replied, "It's your serial number. Every year, we accept thousands of new students."

"But of course most of them will be expelled after the first three months. That's because we only keep the best of them."

"Anyway, don't worry about that, all you need to do now is to know about our academy."

Jin followed Howell to the first hall, which was the ceremony hall. He told him that the entrance ceremony was scheduled to take place there tomorrow.

Then they went to the science complex.

This complex had several halls, one of them was the general biology hall, where students learn about different types of Chaos creatures and their weak points, they also learn about normal animals and other living beings.

Next to it was the chemistry hall, where students learn how to make health potions and basic combat tools, such as bombs or poisons that kill chaos creatures, along with other chemical knowledge.

There was also a Wildlife Hall, where students learn how to survive and handle challenges they might face in the forest or at sea. They are taught how to cook, distinguish between poisonous and safe food, and master other essential survival skills.

Finally, there was the Human Biology Hall. This hall was for those interested in human medicine. Students learn about the human body, its abilities, how it grows, and they are taught medical treatments as well as how to use their powers to heal people.

After that, Howell and Jin moved to the western complex, which was dedicated to martial arts.

The first hall in the combat complex was a large training field. Students train there physically, doing running exercises, endurance training, and other activities that focus on physical strength.

Next to it was a hall where students learn how to control their powers and adapt to them.

The third hall was assigned for training the Awakened. In this hall, students learn how to use their powers to kill Chaos creatures, and also how to escape from them.

The last hall in the complex was reserved for royal families only. Jin didn't know its purpose, and he wasn't interested, so he didn't give it much thought.

Then they went to the main study complex, where students attend their main lectures and the basic classes.

This complex had larger halls than the other ones.

The first hall was for the magic users. Students who had awakened magical powers, such as offensive and defensive magic, train there to improve their magical skills.

The second hall was for weapon combat training. It was the biggest hall Jin had seen so far, which showed that most Awakened rely on weapons in combat.

In this hall, students choose the weapons they are good at, such as swords, spears, scythes, shields, archery, and other types of weapons.

There are many teachers there, and each one has great experience with a specific type of weapon, giving students a better chance to master their chosen weapon.

After that, they went to the last hall of this complex, which was the history hall.

According to Professor Howell, this hall is the least crowded of all the educational complexes in Lucaria.

It seems most students don't think history is important. They see it as boring and a waste of time.

But for Jin, he was interested in going there because he didn't know many basic facts that seem simple to others.

After that, they headed to the last complex, which was the Entertainment Complex.

It has many public facilities for students to relax and have fun, such as a cafeteria, an ice skating rink, dance rooms, clubs, and several other activity areas.

One of the buildings there is a huge library, filled with all kinds of books like history, science, novels, and many other categories.

Jin had always loved reading since he was young. He never had any other form of entertainment in his life besides books, so he was really looking forward to visiting it soon.

After exploring all the complexes and their halls, Howell showed Jin other places inside the academy, such as the medical centers, security centers, and some of the gardens he had seen earlier.

He also warned him about restricted areas where students were not allowed to enter. He especially warned him not to go near a basement called the Idris Basement.

"You must not enter that basement for any reason. If you do, you could be permanently expelled from the academy," Howell warned as he looked at him.

"Okay, thank you for the advice."

Howell adjusted his glasses and said, "That's all for today. Remember to be on time for the entrance ceremony tomorrow."

"Thank you, Professor Howell. You really helped me a lot today."

He smiled. "I hope you enjoy your time here. But before I leave, let me give you one important piece of advice."

Jin looked at him. "What is it?"

"Stay away from the royal families. It's better not to get close to any of them."

"And avoid talking about the Saints or the factions as well."

"Why is everyone warning me about them?" Jin muttered to himself.

He sighed. "Alright, thank you again, Professor."

After he left, Jin returned to the dorm complex and went back to his room.

He sat on the bed, thinking about everything that had happened today. Then he closed his eyes and said,

"Yo paper, summon me to the graveyard."

After a few seconds, his vision blurred, and everything changed to look like that graveyard again.

Last night, while he was in the bathtub, Jin had discovered that he could return to Amon's grave.

He discovered this entirely by accident when he started talking to the paper out of boredom while he was in the bathtub.

When he talked to the paper, he realized he could return to that graveyard.

So, out of curiosity, he went back and discovered something very interesting about it.

Even though the graveyard was only part of his inner consciousness and not real, he was still able to move freely inside it.

He wandered around for a while but didn't find anything particularly special.

The only strange thing was that all the gravestones were empty except for one, which had a name on it written in blood "Amon".

Somehow, despite the graveyard being scary, Jin felt a strange sense of comfort there. His mind was unusually clear, and he felt completely peaceful.

What surprised him was that when he left the graveyard and returned to reality, his body felt completely exhausted, as if he had been training for several hours.

So he decided to do the same thing today to try it out again, then he would take a warm shower and go back to sleep afterward to prepare for tomorrow's ceremony...

"Welcome back, Leonard," Saruman greeted Saint Leonard with a smile.

Leonard took off his coat, placed it on the chair opposite him, then sat down. "Thank you. How are the preparations for the ceremony going?"

"Very good, and there are many promising students this year," Saruman replied.

"Especially that girl from the Artavelia family."

"Artavelia that sounds promising."

Saruman smiled. "There's another boy who will catch your attention."

Leonard looked at him. "Is he from one of the other royal families?"

Saruman stroked his chin with a smile. "No. He's Arthur's son."

"Arthur's son? You mean Arthur Yushta?" Leonard asked in surprise.

"Yes," Saruman answered, holding a paper in his hand.

Leonard let out a slow breath. "Hmm… interesting. Anyway, the reason I came here is that I wanted to tell you about something concerning."

"Oh? And what is it?" Saruman asked.

"I've seen a new vision… In it, I saw a corrupted demon…"

Saruman listened carefully as Leonard spoke, and his expression gradually turned serious.
