Chapter 10 - The classifications

Nothing is more important than my life. I must survive, no matter what. This is what I know, and this is what life has taught me.

A month has passed since I ended up in the Demon Prison.

Now, I'm trapped in the forest, surrounded by five white tigers. Behind me is a large tree, and in my hand, I hold an old sword.

"Stats," I muttered.

Name: Joker

Level: 22

Health: 100/100

Strength: 30 +

Intelligence: 60 +

Vitality: 25 +

Luck: 40 +

Charisma: 20 +

Magic: 25 +

Skill Points Available: 16

I thought for a minute before deciding where to allocate the points.

Strength: 35

Intelligence: 60

Vitality: 28

Luck: 43

Charisma: 20

Magic: 30

I had already maxed out my skill level with all the points I had, and I upgraded some of my existing skills and acquired a few new ones.

I raised my sword towards the approaching tigers and whispered, "Flame spark "

The sword ignited with powerful flames, now at level five, significantly boosting its strength.

The intense fire illuminated my surroundings, making everything visible and causing the tigers to hesitate and step back.

That insane girl with the devilishly beautiful face...

She's the one who brought me here after I fell from the mountain peak again, all because of her. I transformed and returned to her, but when I reached her, I found her moving forward without even looking back. She was completely indifferent to what was happening behind her.

I was seething with anger, cursing her a thousand times in my head.

But I knew nothing about this place, so I decided to follow her. However, when the time comes, I will make her regret what she did to me. I'll make her kneel and beg for forgiveness, and even then, I won't show her any mercy.

I had increased my Shapeshifter

ability to level four, allowing me to sustain my transformation for four minutes.

She was descending the mountain, and since I didn't go down with her, I descended quickly. I figured she would take about three hours at her pace, but I could make it down in just four minutes.

I tore through the clouds, descending with all my might. I activated my ki, spreading my wings like a swift eagle with a span of two and a half meters.

I landed and waited for her at the bottom, sitting on a rock and trying to meditate. The three hours passed excruciatingly slowly.

When she finally arrived, I felt that I had gathered most of my energy.

I gave her a dismissive look and didn't speak.

"Did I take too long to come down?" she asked.

"I don't care about that. I was gathering my energy," I replied, not even glancing in her direction.

She moved quickly, glaring at me with anger.

This girl was really quick to anger.

She headed straight to the place where she lived. At first, I didn't notice, but she lived in a large castle, like the ones you see in old movies. It had many rooms and even more corridors.

There was a big secret behind this girl. She hadn't told me everything; there was a huge mystery surrounding her, and I was going to uncover it.

I was going to make her tell the truth.

But is there anything in this world that we can call truth or logic?

I followed her into the castle.

"Come with me to the library. I will make you try to read some books that will enhance your knowledge about skills, abilities, and the differences between humans, demons, and other creatures."

"I know the differences."

"You think you know, but you actually don't know anything. Come along."

This girl was extremely arrogant, the most arrogant I've ever seen in my long life, even considering that I've lived twice.

But when she opened the door, I found a very large room, possibly taking up half the castle's space. It was a gigantic library, filled with books.

"Welcome to the land of knowledge," she said with a smile.

"I will leave you here to read for five hours. After that, you will go to the training grounds to practice swordsmanship for another five hours. Then you will train with me in magic for four hours. You will repeat this routine, sleeping only four hours a day, for a month."

"No, I do not agree with what you're saying."

"Is your will that weak? You need to increase your strength to be able to learn the necessary skills from me to get out of here."

"No, my dear, you misunderstood. I will only sleep for one hour. Now go away and let me read in peace. Don't come back before five hours."

I heard the door slam shut with a loud bang, and I couldn't help but laugh.

I wandered among the books until I found one titled "Distinguishing Power."

I began reading this book with great interest and learned some things I didn't know.

A warrior and a mage have an aura that distinguishes them. When this aura appears, it allows you to understand the abilities of the warrior or mage before you.

The classifications are as follows:

Beginner: No aura.

Distinguished: Blue aura.

Expert: Red aura.

Legendary: Black aura.

I learned that a person can hide or reveal their aura at will.

I also discovered that a tamer can easily tame beasts weaker than themselves whenever they wish. For stronger beasts, the only way to tame them is to make those beasts love them.

Additionally, I found out that a shapeshifter can transform into any beast, provided it is weaker than them.

This explains why tamers and shapeshifters are so rare in the world; they have no real power, making them easy targets to be killed quickly.

The five hours passed quickly, and I found the demonic girl standing behind me.

"Aren't you done yet? It's time for sword training."
