Regardless of the light from the blessed ones, the cave felt more dark as they stepped into it. And unlike the part they had just left, it was cold.
The cool breeze made the fire dance in their hand, and that made the soldiers more alert than before.
The walls were shapeless, and because of the lack of light, they couldn't really make out what was written or not written on it.
But with every step they took, the crunching sounds they got made them think that something had actually happened in it.
"Be careful, and watch your feet." Damien commanded. Though, he had whispered, his voice echoed in the cave, coming back to them repeatedly.
Damien himself had his eyes moving round. It was hard to focus on one thing when anything could happen.
And just as he had predicted, the sound of roaring became closer.
"I think we're getting closer to whatever is here. Everyone should be careful. Watch out for your team mate but never relax too much.".
