Audrey pushed Damien far away from her. Her body hot and her cheeks flaming red as if she had being caught doing something unusual.
Damien stared at her for a while, while the pounding continued before he went to open the door.
Orion stood by the door, his hand lifted up as if he was ready to pound the door again if it wasn't opened.
The moment his eyes fell on Damien, he bowed his head. "Your highness."
Damien glared at him. "What?"
"Commander Gusto demands your presence, sir."
Damien narrowed his eyes. It was the same Gusto that had encouraged him to go look for Audrey claiming he could handle everything himself, and here he was already looking for him again.
"Tell him I will be there soon." Damien said, he needed to assure Audrey that everything was alright.
He had promised her that he was going to rest. So, leaving without informing her was totally wrong.
"Sir, commander Gusto asked me to wait until you follow me. It's urgent."
