"Your highness, I think something is coming our way."
Damien's hand tightened on his sword, while using more than half of his body to guide the soldier behind him.
It wasn't as if he wasn't scared, but he was the reason this soldier was in this predicament. So, it was only right for him to protect him even if it cost him his life.
But even though they waited, nothing appeared.
The cave roared louder as if it was mocking them for being scared.
"Let's move forward." Damien said.
The soldier nodded, while shaking behind him. It wasn't that he wanted to continue on this journey, but what was the point of running back alone.
What if whatever was attacking them was waiting right outside for him. It was going to be tragedic. At least, he had the prince to guide him inside the cave.
They stepped further, and soon Damien started seeing the traces of blood again.
This time, it was fresh and smelling.
It was also plenty enough to think whatever happened here just happened.
