*Meanwhile, King Kevin and Queen Elliana*
Elliana POV
I rode my horse with tears streaming down my face while holding Nakoa in my arms. Some guards accompanied us to ensure our protection. One of them was carrying Zeus. I can't believe what just happened—I lost my love, Nakoa lost his father, and our kingdom lost its King. This morning started as a normal day. Kevin, Nakoa, Zeus, and I were in the garden, admiring the flowers and watching the butterflies. Nakoa was giggling when a butterfly would fly off, and Zeus was running around. It was all peaceful..until... We heard a crash, we looked up, startled, and we saw a group of orcs running towards us fast. Kevin and I ran to the castle, and the Guards ran to the Orcs to kill them, but many lost their lives to protect us. Kevin couldn´t watch how his man died, and he didn´t help them. ´ALEX! MATEO! BRANDON!´ He screamed for them, and they came fast to us. ´Protect Elliana and Nakoa with your lives!´ He ordered, and they wanted to pull with us, but he stopped them. ´They are your goal to keep alive and safe. I have to help my man.´ He added while putting on his armor. ´You can´t just leave us!´ I screamed at him with tears falling down my cheeks.
He went to me and pulled me in for a kiss. Seconds later, he let go of me and finished putting his armor on. ´I will be back, my love. I love you and Nakoa, you two are the most precious people in my life, and I need to keep you two safe.´ He spoke softly to me before turning his head toward Brandon, Mateo, and Alex.´If something goes wrong... leave without me. Get them as far as possible from this place as you can.´ He ordered them before glancing at Nakoa and me for the last time, and he ran out of the castle. I was watching over him through the big windows. The fight was brutal, and many lives were lost. We sighed in relief and believed that the war was over. Kevin turned around and smiled at us. I smiled back at him, and he was walking back to us, but an orc that was barely alive crushed Kevin after it threw itself at Kevin. ´KEVIN!!! NO!!´ I screamed with pain in my voice. I wanted to run to him, but Mateo and Brandon didn´t let me. They took me with Nakoa in my arms and Zeus out of the crate. They dragged us to the stables before getting us on my horse. They got on their horses, and we galloped away.
Now that you know what happened, I can't hold back my tears. Nakoa started to cry because I was crying. We stopped and got off the horses. Alex placed a blanket on the ground, and I sat down, gently rocking Nakoa to soothe him. Mateo sat next to me and hugged us, and after some time, Nakoa calmed down. Brandon and Alex joined us as well. They told me that it would be okay... That I have them and can count on them. I smiled bitterly, thanking them. We stayed on the blanket till we knew that Nakoa was asleep before we got back on our horses and galloped away.
What will happen to us now? Where can we settle down? Will a kingdom take us in? I don't have answers to these questions, and that scares me about the future. I looked down at a sleeping Nakoa and realized that as long as he, Alex, Brandon, and Mateo were by my side, I would be alright.
