We smiled at her and kissed her head softly. ´Why don´t you two dress her up in something cute?´ She suggested that we get up and head to the changing table. Ocean was a giggling bean, Cornelius placed her gently on the changing table, and I grabbed a diaper. The doctor checked on Gwen while we dressed Ocean in a cute panda onesie. I picked her gently up in my arms, and we returned to Gwen. I gave Ocean softly to her, and she held her. She was smiling and crying a bit. Cornelius and I carefully reviewed the adoption papers before signing them and returning them to Gwen. Ocean started to get cranky; she was probably hungry. Cornelius and I left the bedroom so she could feed Ocean calmly. We both went to the kitchen and made a sandwich for her before returning with the food.
Gwen POV
I´m so happy for them. I was feeding Ocean after placing a small blanket, and I turned my attention to the doctor. The doctor told me that Ocean is a healthy little girl. The doctor congratulated me before walking out and let Aiden and Cornelius in once he walked out. Aiden and Cornelius thanked the doctor and walked into my bedroom. I looked down at Ocean and saw her falling asleep while still trying to drink the breast milk. I smiled and gently moved her away. I used one of my hands to pull my shirt normally before softly removing the blanket. They both sat down on the bed next to us, and I noticed that Aiden was holding a plate with a sandwich on it. Ocean fell soon asleep in my arms. ´Would you like me to hold her while you are eating??´ Cornelius asked, half whispering, I nodded and gave her to him. His eyes lit up once he held her. Aiden gave me the plate, and I thanked him. I took a bite of the sandwich and rolled my eyes. Damn. That is a good sandwich, I thought. Aiden turned his attention to Ocean and Cornelius. He smiled before getting up and walking over to them. They adore her very much. I made the right choice, I watched them while eating the sandwich. I know that she will be in good hands, I´m worried tho....when Kevin and I were kept captive, they injected me with something...I don´t know the effect it may have on her... The doctor assured me she was healthy, but I sensed something was wrong.
I felt someone tapping me on my shoulder, and I looked up to face a concerned Aiden and Cornelius. ´Is everything okay, Gwen??´ Asked Cornelius with a worried expression. ´Yeah... I just....´ Words couldn´t leave my mouth, I sighed and closed my eyes for a moment before opening them and looking at them. ´King Kevin and I were kept captive... After King Kevin and I...you know. They took me away almost immediately and injected me with something. What if it hurts her? I'm just worried that she might be infected by it.´ I answered honestly, and they looked worried at each other for a second before smiling. They turned their attention to me. ´No matter what happens, you and Ocean will always have us by your side.´ Aiden said with a soft chuckle. I smiled at them, knowing that they would keep their promise.

Aiden POV
We expected Ocean to cry and scream, but she is very quiet; the only times you hear her are when she giggles, wants food, or to change her. Gwen started to walk a little around the house. Cornelius and I helped her to walk. We are now in the town walking with Ocean in my arms. I became attached to her like she was my blood child. Nothing has changed yet about her; her smile makes my day. The whole town loved to see Ocean; many grandparents stopped just to see her. She was one of the first babies in years to be born in the town, so she is the talk of the town. It was lunchtime when we decided to go back home. Suddenly, the ground began to shake, causing panic as everyone fled to their homes. We did the same, I hid Ocean in my jacket, and Cornelius locked the door behind us. We ran up the stairs and stayed in one of the bedrooms quietly. We headed out for a huge walk. I took a sniff and knew who the intruder was. ´...It´s an Orc..´ I whispered to them. Their faces became pale bc of the news; the whole town was quiet. The only thing that you could hear was the Orc walking. We quietly packed a few bags with things that Ocean and I would need. Gwen looked out of the window. She turned to us and pointed at the horses. Cornelius and I nodded, Cornelius was holding the bags, and we sneaked away from the house to our horses. Gwen took Ocean softly over from me, and I got our horses ready for the escape as quietly as possible. We mounted the horses and galloped away from the town without looking back.
