But since his old friend had gone out of his way to call, and was asking about Jillian again, Father Carter couldn't help thinking, could it be that Jillian has done something bad again?
Since the call had already come through to him, Father Carter at least had to ask symbolically, "What has she done again?"
Father Carter said, "You know how she is, she really can't be disciplined. She took medicine on her own and deliberately fell to cause a miscarriage, and then even tried to pin it on my biological daughter. Even just for my biological daughter's sake, I really can't control her anymore."
