Father Carter's old friend suggested, "If she were normal, we could leave her alone, but in her current state, if we continue to neglect her, who knows what might happen."
"Okay, I understand." Father Carter suppressed his inner shock and thanked him, "If she goes to the base again, give me a call."
After hanging up the phone, Father Carter called his wife and told her about Jillian Carter's situation.
