Chapter 727 - Chapter 724 Listen

"Big Sister, why did you come here?" Annie asked curiously.

She only just realized it now; why had Perry suddenly come to the castle? From her tone, it seemed she even knew Lucas.

"Uh..." Prompted by the fox-eared girl's words, Perry just remembered that she had never mentioned her name to Lucas, nor had she ever let anyone see her face.

If she had revealed her name and appearance earlier, wouldn't Annie have known it was her long ago?

Thinking of this, Perry felt a bit helpless. Who could have predicted the unpredictability of life? Meeting Annie here could definitely be considered a stroke of luck.

"What's wrong? Can't you say?" Annie asked in confusion.

"No, it's just that I have a request for Lucas," Perry shook her head and briefly mentioned, "I have a tribe on the grasslands, and we have a partnership with Lucas."

"Oh, so the beastkin tribe that the Master is cooperating with is yours, Big Sister?" Annie said in surprise.

"Yes, it's quite a coincidence," Perry sighed with emotion.

"Big Sister, you have great taste. Cooperating with the Master is the best choice." Annie patted her chest and blinked her eyes as she guaranteed, "You definitely won't suffer any losses. I even decided some of the matters myself."

"Uh..." Perry was stunned. So, among the terms they negotiated previously, some were actually set by Annie?

"Big Sister, are you going to see the Master now?" Annie asked, her fox ears twitching.

"I'll see him tomorrow. I want to chat with you today," Perry said softly. She wasn't stupid; if she went to negotiate with Lucas right now, she would definitely be at a huge disadvantage.

Now that she had run into one of her own people, she had to get some information about Lucas from Annie first. That way, she wouldn't lose out too much when they actually talked.

"Alright, let's go to my room then." Annie pulled Perry toward her room, turning to Gaba before leaving, "Gaba, go notify them that they can start working. Transfer a squad of soldiers over to stand guard; all the potatoes must be moved into the warehouse."

"Okay." Gaba left.

"Is it really okay? How about you go do your work first, and we can chat tonight," Perry said with some concern. When living under someone else's roof, one should sometimes just do their duty.

"It's fine. Everything was arranged beforehand. Even if I went, it would just be to give an order," Annie shook her head.

Many things in Sedona City operated on an established system. Sometimes, just giving an order was enough, as there would be people who knew how to arrange the rest.

"Lucas won't make things difficult for you, right?" Perry was still a bit uneasy.

"He won't. The Master isn't that petty." Annie's lips curled up, and she said proudly, "Even when I cause minor mischief, the Master is always tolerant of me."

She knew the limits for many things. Sometimes, acting willfully and causing minor mischief was seen by many as a sign of their good relationship. No one would say anything as long as she didn't cross the line.

"It seems you're living very well here," Perry chuckled softly. She could tell Annie held some authority, which was completely beyond her expectations.

"Of course it's good. I can eat my fill every day, sleep well, have snacks to eat, and even watch horse races," Annie said, counting on her fingers, her expression full of joy.

"That's good." Perry nodded; she could tell that Annie had endured hardships.

After all, Annie used to be a princess. Would a princess feel happy just about eating her fill, sleeping well, and watching horse races? She must have suffered a great deal; otherwise, she wouldn't be so happy about such ordinary things.

Step, step, step...

Annie led Perry and Sally to her room and immediately got busy, pouring tea and bringing out some of her favorite lollipops.

"Big Sister, these are lollipops. They're limited edition!" Annie showed off a few lollipops and handed them over to the two.

"Alright," Perry accepted them with a smile. Following Annie's instructions, she unwrapped one and popped it into her mouth, her eyes lighting up slightly.

"So sweet!" Sally exclaimed in surprise. She hurriedly licked it, her face full of delight.

"Delicious, right? There are more here." Annie quickly took out a few more lollipops and stuffed them into their hands.

"No need, you keep them for yourself," Perry quickly waved her hand, reluctant to accept more.

"..." Seeing Perry refuse, Sally reached out and accepted the lollipops. This was to avenge the grudge of constantly being called Little Monkey.

Next, the three of them began to converse, each sharing some of their experiences.

"I definitely must thank Mina properly," Perry's eyes reddened. She knew Annie had definitely suffered far more than she let on.

"I've already thanked her; there's no need to thank her again," Annie quickly waved her hand. She knew the cat-eared girl didn't like being thanked over and over.

"How can that be?" Perry shook her head quickly and chided, "You've thanked her, but I am your Big Sister; I have to thank her myself."

"Yes, yes." Annie nodded helplessly. She'd just let the cat-eared girl deal with the annoyance.

"Annie, do you want to come with me to the Sahara?" Perry affectionately patted the fox-eared girl's head.

"This..." Annie was instantly rendered speechless. If it were in the past, she would have agreed without a second thought.

"What's wrong? Reluctant to leave here?" Perry asked in surprise. The fox-eared girl's reaction was unexpected; she had thought Annie would follow her just by mentioning it.

"Mhm." Annie nodded in embarrassment.

"Then how about just going to the grasslands to take a look and stay for a few days?" Perry didn't force her.

She hadn't expected Annie to be so attached to Sedona City. Annie used to listen to everything she said, but now she was somewhat unwilling to leave with her.

"Alright," Annie agreed readily. Going just to stay for a few days could simply be treated as a vacation.
