We noticed it when we stepped outside. We were so shocked that we had no idea what to do. We stood there motionless like mannequins. We finally became aware of our situation and could move when we heard the honk again. We observed the crowds of zombies swarming the vehicle, and the more noise she made, the more they flocked to her.
Stacy yelled, "Nooo!" but before she could get to her, I seized her and asked, "Are you crazy? Huh? What if you went there? What's Next?"
I sigh and shake my head.
Our goal should be to grab their attention." I remarked, While you look for a means to get her to quit honking, I'll see what I can find. I stated, and she agreed by nodding.
I went inside, looking around and thinking of something. As soon as I notice the TV, I begin looking around. I had a thought, but we had to confine the zombie inside the gas station. But we had to gather supplies before leaving.
"I suggested that we use the TV to play music on the speaker box, drawing the zombies in and diverting their attention. Jaydon locked the front door while Sara and Stacy went through the back. I told Stacy when she approached, and Jaydon nodded in agreement. We all packed things we thought we might need in the future and placed them outside the back door."
We turned on the TV and made the volume as loud as possible. When the zombie entered, Jaydon locked the front door while Stacy and I ran to the back door and locked it. After grabbing the items outside the door, we returned to the front to meet Jaydon and Megan.
Stacy ran towards Megan and gave her a tight hug. She asked Megan how she was feeling and if she had any injuries. Jaydon nodded at me, and I followed him to the car. It took some time for both of them to get inside.
"Did you settle down?" I asked as I turned to her. She nodded, and Jaydon started the car.
After a bit of driving, I noticed that the atmosphere in the car felt strange, so I turned on the radio to see if any music was playing or if the soldier had some broadcast playing about a shelter that we could go to.
I finally found a great radio station with music, and we all started singing and laughing. Only Jaydon kept his neutral demeanor; he occasionally offered us a small smile as he gazed at us. Those two have finally calmed down as I turn around. They were giggling, singing, and even cracking jokes. That they had relaxed and were having fun made me glad; after ensuring everything was fine, I turned back and noticed something in the distance.
I pointed forward and said, "Look, I see something.
" Are those soldiers?" Stacy responds: Soldiers were in front of us, and when they spotted us, they stopped us.
"Hi, how are you guys doing? Up ahead is a shelter. Don't worry, you guys are safe now", the soldier remarked as he pointed forward and let us pass. Stacy grabbed Megan and sobbed, "Finally, we made it," while Jaydon nodded and kept driving. Given the circumstances, I merely gazed out the window and pondered whether being with such a large group was a brilliant idea.
When we arrived, we noticed a warehouse where people gathered around it, with tents outside. We could hear people inside, and there were two troops out. "Male on the left and female on the right, you may bring the stuff you came with, if you brought anything, and the car will come with you, but we will inspect it first," one of the soldiers stated as he approached us as we got out of the vehicle. We all smile and nod. Jaydon headed to the left gate while Stacy, Megan, and Sara proceeded to the right side of the gate.
The medics advised us to strip off once we got inside to see whether we had been bitten anywhere. The female doctor let us in once we complied with her instructions. Turning around, we saw Jaydon interacting with the soldiers. He approached us after giving the soldiers a nod and waving when he noticed us. I inquired as to what he said to the soldiers.
