He didn't sound at all like a son speaking to his father.
Chairman Fawcett said, "Fine! But..."
"But what?" Nathan Fawcett arched a brow.
Chairman Fawcett glanced at Anne Sutton. He wanted to say something, but with Nathan Fawcett right there, he thought better of it. He was afraid he'd anger his son so much he'd pass out again.
He said, "Alright, I'll be heading back for today, then. Should I... leave her here to keep you company?"
He wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea.
But Nathan Fawcett... seemed very protective of Anne Sutton.
Nathan Fawcett said, "Just go."
Chairman Fawcett said, "I'll be on my way, then."
And with that, Chairman Fawcett left.
Sean Sutton glanced at Anne Sutton. He had originally planned to take her home, but if even Chairman Fawcett was powerless, he certainly didn't dare to object.
He spoke to Anne Sutton, admonishing her, "Stay here at the hospital and keep Mr. Fawcett company. Don't make him angry again."
