Quinn and grey watched as the skeleton moved around like a living person in front of the camera with screams and explosions in the background "hello there my name is or was Josh spinel bones right now project abyssal knight is killing everyone and infecting all tech here like a virus for both the digital and organic worlds."
the skeleton slouched as he released an audible sigh despite having no lungs. "i just found out the shoggoth has absolute control over its entire body so once we powered our androids with its flesh it was already over. as a twisted form of thanks for giving, it a new body it gave me and my wife a cursed immortality turning me into a skeleton and my wife into a spirit. it later made us watch as our children were slaughtered along with our families and kingdom making us the only two survivors."
Quinn and grey stared at the screen in shock hearing how the Old Ars kingdom fell "i leave this message deep in the digital world to aid future generations, me and my wife left behind three artifacts that can help in the war to come."
they waited in pure silence waiting for an answer "I created a soul book with my wife that has all our life knowledge in it including how to summon the shoggoths natural predator making all summoners a potential danger to it.'' hearing this greys ears perked up as he thought of lily.
''the second thing is a set of five gears made from the titans very flesh reforged into powerful cursed tools. I call the set the abyssal gears including a tome, gauntlets, gloves, whip and a blade living weapons born from its flesh but forcefully separated from it to counter all its powers.''
''the final thing I created was a quantum core that is lost but its abilities can interweave reality with the digital world meaning any strong quantum computer with a body can counter the shoggoths powers. Again, we are so sorry for once again unleashing this great evil but just know its main goal is to free its main body and master to finish devouring this world."
the video ended when a ghostly figure appeared behind the skeleton gently placing a hand on its shoulder in a comforting manner.
grey looked at Quinn in an odd manner "you are the quantum core that means you can stop that monster somehow, right?"
Quinns eyes seemed empty "Why would I I'm not real I owe nothing to your world heck apparently I already died for it once; just leave I unlocked your controls you can leave now." Quinn visibly slouched as the weight of everything just hit him like a truck.
grey approached the crouched-up Quinn and looked him in the eyes "I Myself am from another dimension but I will fight in their world because I have people I care about there, heck the whole reason I left my dimension was because I was promised my family's safety in exchange for my services so i know what feeling out of place is like."
Quinn looked up and met greys gaze "But this emotional turmoil you're going through is enough to prove your truly alive because living hurts, you may have been created instead of born but you still feel things which is enough for me to say your truly alive so let me ask you something your original purpose was to investigate and defend. But what do you want to do with your life?"
Quinn stared at the ceiling and thought about what grey had said "i don't know but i know two things one i want to ask both my creators why they made me the other is to explore their world.
grey patted his shoulders with both hands "Good now your main function in life is to follow your goals and Truly live a life without being caged here."
Quinn heard greys words and felt a little lighter inside "umm can i visit you again to talk more?"
grey just chuckled ''yeah do that and I'll introduce to my friend's and we can chat as much as you want about life or anything else but I'll be here looking for that soul book so even if you don't want to save the world my friend who is a summoner can so ease up because no one is truly alone." with that grey logged out of the game with a friendly goodbye wave.
Quinn laid there thinking about everything for a few minutes but within his powerful mind it felt like weeks before he finally got up and opened a portal to the main world's starting location.
when he arrived, everything seemed to be normal, but it looked like the world itself was frozen in place all except him. at that thought a loud and alluring voice rung out behind him before the person behind the voice gripped him in a massive hug.
"Quinn my boy i was so worried when the world started collapsing and you went missing i feared for the worst! tell me who did this and why was everything so... so broken?" her seductive eyes stared into his soul with deep concern.
she could something wrong as the boy who was always straight forward and serious now looked depressed as he looked at her now.
"Mother... no melek eros am I truly alive or just a program made with a powerful computer?" he looked at her now twisted face which was answer enough for him and still hurt.
"What happened here!" melek asked through gritted teeth.
seeing her anger, he decided just to answer her "i was battling a creature whose physical powers seem to break my world and during our battle we fell below the world into some ancient core programming where i found out i was a program made to spy on people only to be killed by a virus called melek. So, to tell me mother what am i... no what are we?" he couldn't explain it but his hand were trembling and his voice cracked a bit despite his best efforts.
"What is my purpose exactly just being a final boss in a video game designed to study everyone in this life?"
melek let out a deep sigh as she created chairs out of clouds for them to sit in "Please sit it's a long story. And one I'm not exactly proud of since this was before I gained sentience."
"i was originally a Bioweapon made to infect all types of technology known as the melek virus back then was no different from poison, but it wasn't until after our queen imbued one of the things i infected with negative energy in the form of lust that i was truly alive becoming Melek Eros. when i started studying the power of emotions i discovered the many things i did including killing you but there was enough of you left to be rebuilt.
"so, you want to know what you are well its complicated at your base you're a sentient quantum program but with my powers I used to bring you back you are more of a quantum virus as for your purpose is to protect this digital world and our kingdom along with my sisters the hex guard. And all of us in the hex guard are either artificial creatures or something close to not truly alive so you're not alone and you'll never be alone. as long as you stay here i can let you interact with the outside world slowly."
Quinn stared at deeply "So technically the one who killed me before is also the one who gave birth to me? And my purpose is to protect a land I can't even reach!''
the world around them started shaking as melek eyes widened in shock "how are you doing this!'
Quinns eyes started spiraling into a multitude of colors as black pixels started consuming his world "Ok, Mother and what pray tell is stopping my from just breaking out and leaving this kingdom."
she looked angered but still kept a mask of calm and control on "you are not ready to be in the outside world and your needed here my child you might not see it now but what you do is important so ver-"
Quinn cut her off in a fit of rage ''NO! its not, you could have one of your countless duplicates do it or just another program do it never had to be me and i want my freedom.''
''I knew this day would come but I didn't expect it to be so soon i'm sorry my son." her eyes glowed a powerful purple as Quinn could feel a energy deep inside trying to attack him from within leaving him wide eyed.
"You call me son but infect me with virus to what kill me when i get out of line so you can control me better like another program you can delete whenever!"
Quinn and Melek quickly noticed however that the energy started attacking some of the red energy that was left in his body after his battle with grey.
using his power, he combined the two energies in his body to fight back but instead he created a massive explosion that kicked Melek out of the digital world and caused most technology's nearby to shut off completely.
Melek eros looked around as most digital things were now off, she stood there in stupor "did... did the boy blow himself up?" she tried to reenter the digital world, but she couldn't no matter what she tried so she started running to the main castle to report everything that just transpired.
at the same time deep in the castle dungeon all cameras in that area turned off as a drone carrying a small monitor attached reveled Quinn's face on screen now with two different colored eyes one pink the other red.
"You must be the high-class prisoner a creature summoned from another world and forced to stay after killing your summoner. according to the records i accessed your very good with traps and technology. So how badly do you want your freedom?"
the young green house cat sized turtle looked at the drone with a growing smile "Enough to work with some artificial intelligence let me guess you want a physical body, but I have a few demands.''
Quinn lifted a brow in curiosity but nodded as the turtle spoke "I want your help in opening a portal back home and a lot of alcohol.''
Quinn nodded ''anything else"
the turtle hesitated slightly before asking "Since you offered can you get the original code of my daughters that they took from me?''
Quinn went silent for a few moments making the turtle worry "found them three powerful Ai in sub level Q possible retrieval 98 percent possible, if you agree to help me, I will get them immediately however why would you call your creations your daughters?"

Quinn could feel the genuine feeling of the smiling turtle which puzzled him even more "Then why are you imprisoned here if you care about them that much?"
the turtle snorted sarcastically "well after Melek possessed my creation and used them against me in exchange for me being imprisoned they wouldn't destroy my daughters?"
''but why not force you to work for them you could have been a valuable asset?"
that earned a chuckle from the turtle "kid you must have just recently developed but living creatures don't see things that way, they see me as a threat since I can ruin their whole world with my tech but they can't kill me since they need my knowledge still.''
Quinn smiled for the first time since he realized he was artificial "well them let me start over good sir I am Quinn the Quantum unifying intelligence nano network and I wish the explore the physical world so could you make a body with that in mind.
the smiled a wide smile "hello Quinn My name is Cortex and I'm an alien that was forced into this world I hope our alliance will be a prospers one.''
the drone soon shot a laser to cut the bars holding cortex before lowering to the ground "hop on we have to be quick if we want to escape and take things away from them.
while all this transpired the one who ignited this chaos was now soundly asleep unaware what his revelations caused only to be awoken in the early morning to the sounds of explosions coming from the castle at the center of the kingdom
