What was even more frightening was the infectiousness of the zombie virus. Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian, after being bitten, rose from the ground within moments, now hideous zombies themselves!
Zombie Iron Man raised his hand to strike the stunned Dr. Banner. Just then, a red cape flew in, wrapped around Iron Man's legs, and yanked him to the ground—saving Banner's life.
Next, the cape tangled with Zombie Wong. In the struggle, it even used Zombie Wong own portal to slice off his head.
Even in this world, zombies had one fatal weakness: the head. Once the zombie Wong's head was gone, his body collapsed to the ground with a thud, completely dead.
Outside the video feed, Tony shook his head. "If I'm remembering right, in my world's future timeline, Wong used a portal to slice off Obsidian's arm. Didn't think I'd see a version where he got his own head chopped off by his portal… Gotta say, the multiverse really keeps you guessing."
Homelander sneered. "Heh. So the mask finally slips, huh? End of the world, and you call it 'interesting'? Cold-blooded bastard."
Tony gave him a sideways glance, a little surprised, then spread his hands. "Buddy, I know you've got skin of steel, but do you really have to have no shame? How do you manage to say that with a straight face?"
Honestly, Tony had met plenty of shameless people before, but this was the first time he'd met someone who could make him feel like the modest one.
Homelander snorted. "Enough! Drop the nauseating moral facade. When it comes down to it, what's the difference between you and me? You claim to save the world, yet your AI creations end up destroying it! Tony Stark, compared to you, anything I've done is nothing. Anyone with eyes can see I'm the real superhero here!"
Tony was speechless. He'd thought his own skin was pretty thick… until he met someone who'd mastered the art.
Watching Homelander pose with hands on hips, radiating fake righteousness, Tony suddenly wondered.
'did this guy think the Quiz Game was some kind of Vought media stunt? Using the broadcast to polish his public image?'
'That shouldn't work… right?'
But in The Boys world, plenty of people were actually cheering for Homelander's speech!
The light screen's camera didn't always stay on the future video—it sometimes cut to the players. And just by chance, it had caught Homelander's grandstanding just now.
Immediately, The Boys fans were shouting:
"Homelander's right! That so-called Iron Man created an evil AI robot. He talks about peace, but his creation destroyed the whole world! Compared to him, what Homelander did is nothing!"
"I can't stand guys like Iron Man—always preaching about peace and justice. Homelander's right—they're just hypocritical clowns!"
"Sure, Homelander has killed people, but he's saved more than he's hurt! When he takes out bad guys, I can't help but get hyped!"
Sometimes, reality could be stranger and more absurd than the Quiz Game's future videos.
Back in the video, the moment the zombies bared their fangs, Banner was in grave danger. If Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian couldn't survive, what chance did he—a regular man who couldn't even transform—have?
Even with the flying cape's help, he was eventually bound by Zombie Ebony Maw's telekinesis, three snarling pairs of hands reaching for him at once.
At that moment, a dark swarm like a rolling cloud rushed in, descending on the zombies. In seconds, they had gnawed Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian, and Zombie Doctor Strange down to bare skeletons. Only Zombie Iron Man, encased in his armor, escaped their bite.
But then, a figure suddenly appeared before him, raised a hand, and fired a laser—cleanly slicing off Zombie Iron Man's head!
"Hope?" Outside the feed, Tony recognized the woman who had just decapitated his zombie self. She was Hope, Hank Pym's daughter!
Natasha shook her head. "In the last video, Hank Pym destroyed the Avengers. And here, his daughter shows up as a savior."
Tony rubbed his neck with a wry expression.
"Why does it feel like my animated self dies in really terrible ways?"
Natasha shrugged. "Life's not always perfect—especially multiverse life."
In the video, Hope's timely arrival spared Banner from becoming zombie chow.
But he clearly didn't know who she was—he just saw several giant ants carry away Zombie Iron Man's head.
Terrified, Banner was then suddenly scooped up by a red figure and flown into the air. He instantly covered his head and pleaded, "Don't eat me, don't eat me…"
"Hey, relax—I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!"
"Really? Okay… but what happened to my other neighbors?"
Spider-Man had saved him.
Meanwhile, the Watcher—who had appeared in a previous Quiz Game video featuring animated Doctor Strange—returned. His image hung in the sky like wallpaper as he explained the origin of this zombie world.
A few weeks earlier, Hank Pym had ventured into the Quantum Realm to rescue his wife. After thirty years apart, he finally found Janet… only to discover she was infected with a dangerous quantum virus, and had already become a zombie.
Hank was the first to be infected. Then he and Janet brought the virus back into the real world. In no time, the entire planet had become a zombie paradise—even the Avengers couldn't escape…
At this point, Tony's mouth twitched. "Hank Pym. Again! This time, he didn't just cripple the Avengers—he wiped out the whole world!"
Erik frowned. "Quantum Realm, quantum virus… is quantum really that dangerous?"
"Of course," Tony replied. "Even people who don't know science have heard the saying: When in doubt, blame quantum mechanics. Honestly, you can throw just about anything you can't explain into the Quantum Realm. And between you and me, I think it's more magical than magic itself."
