When Chester entered the room, Alice wasn't asleep. She was leaning against the bedhead, looking thoughtful.
Chester took the porridge brought by the servant behind him, motioned for the servant to leave, and then sat down on the edge of the bed with the porridge.
"Would you like some porridge?"
Alice shook her head.
Chester put down the porridge and gently touched her face, "Are you feeling unwell anywhere?"
Alice still shook her head, looking at him, she raised her arm and wrapped it around his neck.
Right now, she just wanted to lean on him.
She was indeed very sad about not being able to keep the baby, but he was right; once she was healthy, they could have as many children as they wanted, and she didn't want him to worry about her.
"Want some porridge?" Chester asked again.
This time, Alice obediently nodded.
Chester smiled, picked up the porridge, "I'll feed you."
Alice also smiled sweetly.
