I woke up as early as 5 am, took my bath and went to vero's room to see she was awake and had showered and Lizz was getting her dressed.
"How did you sleep" aunt Lizz asked me
"Fine"
"come on let's go our things are been carried into the truck"
I walked around the house for the very last time. I was leaving the life I was used to, to a whole different one. Turned off all the lights, and entered the car. Veronica was ready in her car seat. Immediately i put on my seat belt, we drove off to the airport.
I thought we were taking a normal plane like normal people. Instead we were taking a private one. Now I understand what old money means. Some men were waiting in front of the plane for us when the car stopped they came to it and started taking our bags to the plane. Veronica was still asleep so when the plane took off i lay her down in one of the rooms. I sat down and before i knew it I slept off.
"Destiny wake up we are here" Aunty Lizz shook me
"How long have I been out"
"8 hours"
"what?" and I heard Vero laughing
"Destiny you were sleeping like" she lies down on the couch acting like a dead person. She and Aunt Lizz starts laughing.
"come on let's go everyone is waiting" we got down a convoy of about nine cars were waiting for us, the one at the middle had it's doors open waiting for us. when we got in Vero sat in between both of us.
We were on the road for about 15 minutes until we got to the front on a black gate with about six men huge men to be specific. The gate opened and we started driving in this place looked like an estate.
"How many families live here"
"what do you mean"
"This is an estate right?"
"No Destiny is our house we own the entire land"
definitely not an estate.
"Destiny" Vero called my name
"yeah?"
"Is this were we will be living?"
"yeah"
"ok"
we kept on going and on the road we kept on seeing men in black wearing ear phones and shades don't forget the shades. We finally stopped in front of a big house no wait huge house it is a freaking mansion!!. Women dressed in maid dresses and some men came to the car.
Two of them opened the doors on both sides. Aunt Lizz was on the phone.
"Come on they are inside"
the front door was opened for us. I could hear voices the more we got closer. I carried Vero on my arms, she hide her face in my neck. So mom grew up here wow. When we got to were the voices were. There were six people sitting there and talking. Then I heared aunt Lizz cought and all eyes were on us and that made Vero hug me tighter.
"Is that Destiny" The older woman said in surprised
"Hi" I said waving shyly at them
"Ok Destiny these are your grandparents George and Dorothy" she pointed at the two grey head people sitting together those people looked too young to be my grandparents and i thought Mom said they were in their seventies.
"and this is Dominic Richard and Johnny" she pointed at the three handsome looking men. I know they are my uncles but i do have to be sincere they are fine.
"Dominic is the oldest before Mary then Richard before your mom before Johnny and then me" she said smiling
"And the woman over there is Sarah Dominic's Fiance" I just gave her a nod
"And who is that?" my grandfather asked
"This is Veronica she is three. say hi Vero" I said to her and removed her head from my neck. She turned to them and waved.
"awwe she is so cute" It was Johnny who spoke.
"I can't believe Khloe has kids two specifically"
"be serious Johnny" my grandfather said
"I know you might hate us Destiny but there is more to this whole thing than you know we love your mother. I was almost crying there and then.
"Welcome home Destiny and Veronica we are your family. I would love to hold my grandchildren" my grandfather said this time
I went to them and hugged them. They are different from the way mom described them.
"You guys need to sleep you look tired the maids will show you the room"
I went upstairs with them we went to Veronica's room it was painted with pink with a queen-size bed in the middle of it. Above the dash board, Veronica was written in purple glitters. I put her in her bed and went to my own room. It was spacious like Veronica's just that mine was painted in black and white, with an in walking closet which was the size of my room back in Maryland. My clothes were already arranged in the closet. My bed was a king-size, with the bed sheets and duvet all in black I guess they knew i loved black. There was a table and a chair all in white.
"guess this would be my study table" I said myself.
I opened the balcony door to see a really large balcony with a little breakfast table and two chairs opposite each other. I just smiled i don't know if i would be able to get used to this kind of luxury. I walked into the bathroom to take a shower well i guess the shock wasn't over. My bathroom has both a Jacuzzi shower and a Jacuzzi tub. I used the tub obviously. After my bath I decided to take a nap. Few hours later i heard a knock on my door. I muttered a little come in. A maid walked in with her head bowed.
"miss destiny dinner is ready"
"is Veronica awake"
"she is with your grandparents downstairs"
"I will be there in a minute"
I was planning on changing my clothes but i just went with the shorts and tee shirt i wore to sleep.
Getting down stairs after missing my way like twice before finding a man in Black who took me to the dining room getting there, I could hear Veronica giggling.
"I want that one grandma"
she is already calling her grandma and i don't feel sad about it.
"Destiny come sit with me" my grand father taped the seat close to him. I went there and sat beside him that was when I noticed everybody was there. My grandfather was at the head of the table, my grandmother was at his right hand side Veronica was beside her on a long seat because she is just three and beside her is Sarah and she seems to like Veronica very much and beside her was Uncle Dominic. Then beside me was Aunt Lizz beside her was, Uncle Richard then beside him was Uncle John.
"You know that was were your mom usually sits" John said
"really?"
"Yeah, she wasn't the youngest but she was everybody's favorite she was too kind" this time it was Richard who spoke I could see the love he had for his sister
"and we were stupid for letting her go like that, destiny no offense but I hate your father" this time it was Dominic.
"we all do Uncle we all do" I said.
"And I really miss her, and it hurts so much that she won't be there to see us grow and none of our fathers are here" I said already crying again
"We are your family and don't forget you are a Ramsdale, both of you are and we never abandon our own" my grandfather said. I just smiled at him.
We are in silence, when we had to talk about our school.
"So you start school on Monday, Your Uniforms will be here by tomorrow" Grandpa said.
"What about vero" I asked
"She is not yet of age so she will be home with your grandmother"
"Ok"
After dinner Aunt Lizz took Veronica to prepare her for bed. I went to my room since I showered before, I just brushed my teeth, It was Friday and I always over slept so I went on Facebook to see a message from Daniel i just ignore it and allowed sleep to take me
