In preparation of this Niles decided it would be great to formulate a plan of action for the expansion and so he then decided to take a walk away leaving the crew with Ron who honestly looked as if he belonged to those construction site bosses who yelled at every and anybody for even breathing incorrectly on the construction site back in my old world.
I started walking among the walls of the village / Settlement and greeted people along the way and was thinking 'if it takes a long time to actually to dismantle the walls and put up temporary ones we could just use logs and dirt mounds packed down with heavy rocks and then take them out when expanding in certain directions'.
After all, we aren't stupid enough that we actually are going to remove the walls and hope no beasts run in during the night looking for a midnight snack.
So I decided that this was the best route for now temporary wall structures.
I then continued onwards looking at some other task which was to renovate the houses but seeing that state of disrepair it would be better to demolish them and then create a new home over them basically a whole start over.
I was distraught that this would increase the amount of time needed for the crew which we don't have since the mission I sent the others to complete to hold a massive 50,000 plus people we need to make sure that we have the housing available and they are the key to starting the first revolution of this settlement.
I then decided to head towards the fields which had lush vegetables and plants were being grown in abundance the problem though if that the expansion with the increase in people would mean we need even more food frown or else most would be unable to maximize work time as there would be too many mouths to feed then I thought of something ingenious way to maximize and even increase food growth.
I could introduce Crop Rotation as even the crops I made don't take up loads of nutrients from the soil but it takes up a good enough amount that would cause a dip here and there and if I supplemented it with my powers as a god it would be inefficient to the learning of his people.
Niles thinking of this even though the food wastes can be used to mix to make compost and fertilizer from leftover of beasts to supplement soil nutrients, this not only could grow a crops but even in the future orchards of trees, grape vineyard imagine those large lush fields you see in those movies this could be used for now until we advance to make chemical safe fertilizers that aren't poisonous.
With that note jotted down I then consulted with Nuera about doing this to flesh out the inefficiencies in these plans.
Nuera (Creator that is in line with the right thinking as even though your a god they will have to be self sufficient so that they won't be dependent if situations arise, one thing you could do as well is in the future when the foundation of the village is established you can create schools where they can learn knowledge to benefit the growth of the future empire)
Niles then said"I know but I don't want them to learn theoretical knowledge that school taught us until were closing to become 20's neither do i want that strict orderly way of doing things as it stunts imagination and encourages rote memorisation"
Nile continued "What we are trying to truly do is make them like or develop fascination through self interest and not forcing them with knowledge they may or may not use in the future"
Nuera responds back ( This is advance level that from analysis of your memories was taught in your world predating schools who taught theory first and practicality second, if data serves right thats why they were apprenticeships who took on people who were taught in a field which could be called a vocational schools as seen in your memories by modern times but were underfunded or basically scorned giving the general public thinking that the only way out is to become an intellectual which you compete en masse and are easily replaced by someone of similar knowledge base)
Niles then said "Thats true but thats why I wanted a mix of it so they have basic knowledge but are doing something practical to hone their skills because I don't need robots I need future engineers willing to think of solution the advance the empire and protect it from those who would do it and its citizens harm"
Niles then said" I know its a rush to teach them to make advance machinery without prior knowledge due to not knowing when something bad might happen or where we can go next but when I have formalized all the knowledge teachers and students of these schools will not only share ideas but also ideals where they can work together and grow from"
Niles then wondered about the wall thing and Nuera responded( It's a good temporary way to expand while being moldable for expansion but there is one concern we need to really assess and talk about)
Niles was confused because there doesn't seem to be any problems at the moment that needs to be assessed which then Nuera mention ( This is great development of a nation by modern era standard from your world but you also need to consider magical elements such as if a large beast tries to rampage and causes havoc especially even if they are everyone is strong enough to hunt beasts still they could die when their natural limit is reached so without any power system it would be like building a home for someone stronger to move in to)
'Faced with these facts the weeks that have passed its always been in my mind if i develop a nuke they can neutralise it or teleport it right back, and no matter how cool or strong those people in my world with their bulging muscles and powerful strikes they can't beat someone whose running on rocket fuel while you are on diesel without preparing to die or sacrificing many to bring down one'
But due to the mutation any conventional means to use the world's amazing energy is futile. Can't be a mage without mana, can be a knight without aura.
The only way is to create an entirely new system that can be taught to people who have this mutation but before that i would need to see the difference with someone having a source organ and if this happens I can figure out to create something for them as long as its a so called regular human by this world's standard i can recreate something with my biology divinity but also i would need a willing participant as now where in the the guide was there detailed info expect behavioural info and some skills animals and certain flora have.
Nile with this contemplation said " I can definitely make it work it won't be mana or aura but no matter what energy is energy and assuming these organs store energy then its manipulated to produce certain results I'm sure I can figure it out after all trains in the past used to run on steam before electricity so all i need to do is find a manipulable energy which everyone of my citizens can use"
Nuera response was ( That is true as long as you have a data set from each type I'm sure you can narrow down the next step for them to advance after in your world mana would be the next leap in energy maybe you'll discover the next leap in these people , but by doing so it will attract attention so fortifications for such events must be prepared) Nuera took the words right out of my mouth as it feels fulfilling discovering something new that no one has before just like my grandpa when he said completing a task or building something isn't an achievement but figuring new ways to do it and optimizing it and even going beyond conventional means.
Nuera then continued (I also wanted to say that they are an alternative ways to help people but you have to ask if they are willing to go that far and if they will give up what makes them , themselves)
Niles wondered and said inside his mind' What do you mean Nuera giving something up'
Which she then responded ( A complete genetic makeover, basically using their genetic code to create a new race which they could transition to which would help more than installation of a something to make them powerful but encoding it in their genes so they can develop it)
Niles looked shocked and flabbergasted not knowing what to say except that they were trading this humanity for their betterment but doing so is it truly right for them or do I even have the courage to ask. I couldn't think and just got back to the task at hand to ready this place for more arrivals but this thought lingered continuously like those movies where they create new improved creatures through genetic splicing.
