Rakh'ash'tha ran the full sequence on the Yurakk warrior for the last time as a daily assessment, on the morning she cleared him for instrument duty.

Eighteen days had passed since the first twitch in his left calf.

The left leg now responded across its full range, weaker than before the injury but consistent, repeatable, no longer the single isolated point it had started as.

The right leg had also begun responding, three days behind the left, exactly as Vor'gath's angle-of-contact model had predicted.

"Slower than the left," she said, running the pressure points down his right calf. "But moving the same direction."

"How much slower."

"At this rate, perhaps another two weeks before the right matches where the left is now." She made the final notation in his chart. "You will not be running anywhere for a while. You will be sitting, which is what you asked for."

He looked at her. "Today."
